I recently visited Sri Krishna Vilas at Chidambaram, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The authentic traditional vada with sambar was simply amazing. The vada was incredibly crispy and crunchy, stealing the show with its delightful texture. But what truly made the visit special was Mr. Anand's remarkable service. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor enhanced the overall dining experience. To complete the meal, I indulged in a cup of filter coffee, and oh boy, it was the perfect ending. The aroma of the coffee was absolutely tantalizing, and each sip was a burst of rich, flavorful goodness. Overall, Sri Krishna Vilas exceeded my expectations. From the delectable vada to the impeccable service and the delightful coffee, it was a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend paying a visit to savor their authentic cuisine and enjoy the warm hospitality.

Best hotel for vegetarian. Food was excellent and price is also not too high.

Had South Indian special meals. It is very good but they need to serve everything hot. Rice (one of the main items) wasn’t hot when served

We missed to locate this place in the 1st go as the board is hidden and it has a very small entrance. However after asking locals we found it. It is worth the struggle. They have a homely atmosphere and a great service. Also you will notice the workers there are dignified and respected. Food is served on banana leaf and it is most delicious. They have range of sweets too on offer. While the meals are reasonably priced, juices are expensive. Meal for 5 will cost around 800 and breakfast 500. Place is very clean.

This is the place to dine if you are at Chidambaram! One of the best places to try the authentic Tamil Nadu style food ! I had lunch and absolutely loved it .... Our beloved "Nanban" who served food made us feel so much at home .... explained things we didn't know about a few items served and literally forced us to have food like what mom does at home 😀. South Indian items were good. Clean and tidy hotel. Fast service. Had idli -3 set, dosa - 2 nos, coffee - 1. For just rs 200. Budget friendly restaurant. Opposite to Grand park hotel.

Good place to have South Indian Vegetarian food. Tend to be crowded. There will be a waiting period of at least 10 minutes. The staff were affable and courteous as well.

Ordered podi idly, pongal and vadai. The food looked okayish. Didnt feel it to be so good as mentioned in the reviews. Considering the vegetarian populace living there, i expected the breakfast to be very nice. However. The ambience is fantastic. Gives a very high class vegetarian restaurant feel. The seating is quite limited so you got to wait for few minutes.

Went this hotel near to our stay based on Google maps rating But nevertheless not disappointing on the quality wise and taste of the food Hence much crowded even at 7am Difficult to stick over a specific dish because everything we ordered tasted good

We were at the much talked about Sri Krishna Vilas Chidambaram for a meal. By the time we reached the eatery it was 2.30 pm, hence the afternoon meals service was in the final phase. The servers were tired out after the busy session. But one server was good enough to provide us a starter - baby corn, Phulkas, Garlic naan and Kadai Paneer. The items served the purpose of satisfying our hunger quotient. Expecting to eat South Indian fare but having to settle for North Indian was a disappointment. May be my time of visit was not right. Need to revisit

We went for lunch and dinner on 26-Jan , when I visited the chidambaram temple. It's located near the temple east gopuram, around 200 meters from the gate. At lunch we ordered meals ( standard) and curd rice. Meals was great, they serve 4 kinds of veggies ( kuttu& poriyal, raita and one coconut gravy dish) along with rice, rasam, sambar, spicy kuzhambu, buttermilk,applam and payasam) The meals was more than sufficient for 1 person but they do provide me ore if you need . The waiter was keep asking if I need anything to refill. For Dinner, we had masala dosa, plain dosa and Pani Puri z and filter coffee. The masala dosa was crisp but I personally didn't like the malsala filling and there were too much onion and very less potato in it. Plain dosa was good and so the Pani Puri ( for my daughter). Coffee was good but the milk was not hot as it was served in places. For much our bill was around Rs.310 and dinner Rs.294. Overall the food was good and i would definitely recommend the meals to anyone who wants to try South Indian meals in Chidambaram.

Visited for dining in - breakfast. Located on the main road (east car street) adjacent to the temple premises, hence walkable. Excellent quality and taste - reasonably priced. The dining hall is small though and has limited capacity when visiting during peak hours.

They served here is best. Dont miss out to try "Banaleaf Parotta”I would also recommend After Coffee very Tasty 😋

A Good hotel in chidambaram. Pasanthi sweet is the special one. South Indian foods are very very delicious. Try that degree coffee once. Because of competition they newly added north Indian and Chinese food also. Especially their food will not affect our digestive system.

Better to stay with south Indian varieties. Ordered for North and Tandoori dishes and was disappointed. Soup was not at all cooked properly and you will find the same masala taste for the starters and the gravies. Service and ambience are okay and car parking will have to do it on the main road.

Had an amazing lunch. One of the must-try dishes is Bombay meals where it's a combo of a few north Indian and South Indian dishes. The quantity in which it was served for its asking price was really impressive. Finally all the dishes we tried were super satisfactory. Highly recommended.
