Rooms are neat and clean.. Very near to temple (around 300 meter). Milk is available along with coffee and tea powder.. Once u booked room, he will send u with all details like pooja timing, nearby hotels.. If u need any other help also, he will guide.. He is such a nice person.. Though all rooms are provided with AC, mosquito problem is there.. If mosquito net is fixed in windows, then it will be great. Overall it is a good stay as like home stay..

Great homestay for family or solo female travelers. Well equipped rooms with everything one needs. Dont expect luxury but you have everything you get in a home. And best is close proximity to the temple.

It is a very comfortable and neat place to stay with homely atmosphere. All the necessary items you expect at your home will be there. The main temple is at a walkable distance from here. There is sufficient amount of parking space managed by the owner. Mr. Senthil is a very humble and kind person, he'll help you with all the necessary details you may require to roam the city.

The best place to stay with family and kids. Senthil sir is very organized where he sent me with the pictures of the say, where to park and all other details that are needed to stay and tour around. Kind and very helpful at heart. The place had a gas stove, milk and appropriate vessels for morning coffee.

This was my first stay at Senthil Akam and I stayed for 3 days and I felt completely safe as if I was in my home. Sir was so kind and helpful and so kind through out the stay. The helping people's and the person taking care of the room was so kind and too helpful for our needs. Room service was also excellent. Unlike other places there was a washing machine, gas stove, utensils, refrigerator with milk for daily use, along with tea and coffee powder, sugar etc. Concern of Senthil Sir on guests has brought this thoughtful idea. It is a wonderful place to stay. Very clean and we'll thought designed place. It has all facilities to have a peaceful rest. Ideal place for big families who can accomdate with multiple bathrooms, kitchens, fridge, washing machine. Good for elderly and kids.

We have stayed for 2 days at this place. It was a superb experience . The room was so clean and tidy which made my children fall in love and stay back in the room instead of going around the town. It's very near to the temple. There are many restaurants, drug stores, bus stop at a very short distance. The owner of the property is a wonderful person. He guided us a lot which helped us to have good darshan and visit places in and around without having confusion or wasting time.

A home away from home! Imagine you went on a trip to your grandparents house? It's exactly that. You've freedom and all benefits. The first benefit is obviously the location. Very close to the temple and nearby shops, eateries etc. The next up is the 24/7 faithful security who is not disturbing us except when we enter and exit. Then, the clean room with all the possible housekeeping items like powder, oil, sticker pottu, comb etc. Finally, they were ready to be open late in the night based on our request. Parked my car also there. Wonderful garden space, muttram, with nice ventilation to hang clothes and take up some brisk walking. There is also the traditional thinnai, where you can sit and spend some time with the peaceful birds chirping, breezy wind surrounded by lush greenery. Do remember to bring your own toiletries and towels though. There are nice breakfast places nearby to choose from. I got a book written by the owner's multi talented father. It was a nice gesture.

We went on a 10 day trip traveling across various places in Tamil Nadu and have just reached back. This home was one of the best places that we stayed at with all the comforts of a house. The room had a good vibe with comfortable beds and clean bedsheets. The bathroom was squeaky clean with hot water facility. The best part was the kitchen that was attached with the room along with a fridge, milk, tea, coffee & utensils available round the clock. There was a washing machine too, with a good sunny drying area for clothes. We had to spend a whole day at the university for our work. The help lady at the home stay even kept our clothes safely when it started raining suddenly. The Nataraja temple is walking distance from the home. The owner is extremely helpful guiding us with the best time for darshan. He also gave us a complete list of other temples, nearby places to visit and hotels to eat. He went out of his way to even message us the clear road directions for our next destination. I am thankful for his hospitality and whole heartedly recommend this place for any family visiting Chidambaram.

We, family of 4, stayed at this place recently. It was a cute and cozy place perfect for a compact family. Owner and staff were friendly and supportive. The stay at Senthil Akam was a memorable experience. Great hospitality, they provided all the details regarding transportation, location etc as soon as we contacted them. We did not have any trouble reaching senthil akam and once we reached there we had an awesome experience. They were really helpful and understanding. The stay was really comfortable, ladies can definitely opt for this place. They also provided us with all the details regarding the Temple, puja timings, darshan timings etc....which really helped us to have a blissful experience at the Temple. In total, they treated us with great warmth and hospitality.

We (7 family members) stayed here for a couple of days. We had a home-like feeling all through our stay. The owner is very kind and guides us on everything such as route to rooms, darshan timings at temple, and nearby restaurants.When one of us was leaving in the late night to the bus stand, he himself offered his 2-wheeler for drop at bus stand. His helping tendency extended to that extant where we forgot to take our mobile charges, he himself carried the same and gave to us at the railway station. Thank you, sir for all the warm welcome extended. I strongly recommend this home stay.

The homestay was very comfortable and good with neat and clean atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even when it was late (around 12 am) by the time we came back from the temple, the owner made sure to stay awake and open the doors for us ensuring our safety. Overall it was a safe and pleasant stay for our family and would highly recommend it!

This was the first home stay for our family. At first, my family was very skeptical about home stay as they were habituated to hotel stays. After staying here, they changed their view on home stays. After going through the reviews, I booked this home stay. The owner was very humble and understanding. Right after booking confirmation, you will be receiving every detail from darshan timings to food options available nearby. I was amazed by the responsiveness of the owner. The rooms are neat and tidy, and bathrooms were also clean and perfect. You will be given all the facilities pretty much you have in your home. Milk packets, coffee powder, and all others that are needed are provided in the refrigerator at the home. It is located very near to the main temple and there is parking space right in front of the house which is sufficient. I definitely suggest and recommend others to choose this home stay. We would like to share our feedback about our stay in Senthil Akam - this was our second stay at this place; it has an old world charm; we stayed in the ground floor which was more like an individual house. Mr.Senthil is a very kind, humble and caring person. He provided us all the information about the temple and in and around areas for food etc, ahead of time. He also shared the contacts of auto/taxi that really helped us to visit nearby temples at normal rates. Lord Natarajar temple is at a walkable distance. The home stay provides all facilities like TV, washing machine, stove, utensils, AC, geyser, drinking water, fridge, they also provide milk, tea dust, coffee powder, sugar etc. There is a garden in the front where you can relax and the place offers good privacy. Overall our stay was very pleasant. My aged mother felt very safe and secure at this place. Thank you sir for all your help and hospitality during our stay. May God bless you and family immensely. We stayed here for one night with family, we are 4 so our Host provided us complete house. Well maintained cleaned house including fridge, gas stove, A/C. Very neat and clean toilet and bath rooms. Mr. Senthil is very polite and helpful, he guided us about the darshan and nearby restaurant with a map. Thank you Senthil. I would highly recommend this Homestay in Chidambaram.

We stayed here for 2 days, room is very good, has tv, ac, geyser, drinking water, common kitchen with stove, providing milk, coffee powder, tea powder, washing machine in common area; it is very close to the main Siva temple, shopping area, and hotels. Senthil sir is very good person, guides and helps on every aspect. He is not at all money minded person, we did not give money when we are vacating as don't have enough cash, after reaching home, we did online transfer, I don't think any other person accepts that. Thank you Senthil Sir for everything.

We visited this place a second time with extended family. Booked the 5 bed room on the first level and 2 rooms on the gr floor. Although basic all amenities were neat and clean. Linens were washed and bathrooms were neat. Complimentary milk and instant coffee were avl for guests to prepare for themselves. In all a great place to bunk when we r visiting the natraja temple. Will definitely visit again

Had excellent stay with my parents,nice host,esp neat blankets,kitchen, he has taken care of minute details of stay, safe & neat for people on pilgrimage.Nearby temple, restaurants. People with corporate mindset expecting glossy looks ,remember its a Homestay thats it. Hope they continue with same compassion and vigour for long time to come

Stayed for 1 night with family. Its a house converted rooms, so vibe isn't great but service is excellent. Rooms with multiple bed options available. Kitchen with a refrigerator, gas stove and a dining table is available as common. Aavin milk packets are provided by the owner which can be used for making tea/coffee or hot milk for kids, which we, with 2 kids, felt really refreshing. Dr Senthil provided location details, pooja timings etc well in advance for proper planning. Most important, the rooms get reserved very quick and we were lucky to get one for a great stay.

Great Experience. U can feel it's your own home. Room was very spacious, u will get Refrigerator, washing machine, new comb, very tidy bed sheet. And the house owner was very down to earth person even though he is very senior aged person

Fantastic Stay. Sir, you are great .He has taken care very well. We were visiting Chidambaram Temple for 1 day. we stayed as a family of 5 members including 2 kids. you will have all necessary things in the room , be it comb, face powder, coconut oil, hot water , neat and clean bedsheets . since we had 2 kids with us, sir has offered 2 packets of milk. It was a great hospitality experience we had.Also the room was very much comfortable and I guess you will not get this in any kind of star hotels. Also you will see an positive vibe when you stay in room .as you see lots of Tamil poetry lines written all over the room which is very great. while leaving, sir has offered a great book as a token of gesture to my niece. Overall, the stay was great and its a good experience. Thanks so much sir. I will be back again to Chidambaram sometime later.

Very Nice homely environment Clean, spacious, walking distance to South Entrance of the Temple, has kitchen to make tea, coffee etc., very useful especially for family and with kids. 4 single beds which were clean and comfortable. The Owner/Host, , explained very nicely with demo about the temple, rituals in temples and timings. Our heartful thanks to him, we had great darshan of the God.
