Please avoid this place, I never write reviews but here it is. We have family visiting from abroad and were looking for a lovely and local place to bring them for the afternoon. We got lured to visiting Majatek Howieny by super positive online reviews and we couldn’t be more disappointed. The complex contains of a restaurant, hotel, wedding venue and…. a zoo. I think the idea was to have a nice eclectic mix of styles of buildings but none of it belongs together. Most shocking was walking through what they call a “zoo” which in this case meant wildlife locked into tiny, dirty cages. Animals inside the cages looked miserable and unhealthy. Tropical birds, ostriches and monkeys in small fenced off area with little to no greenery or engaging surroundings. I’m puzzled no one is writing about this. It is a disappointment in our fellow humans that we are treating these creatures in such a manner. From there we moved towards the restaurant where we couldn’t feel more unwelcome. The host was rude and told us to go outside and find our spot in line (they don’t have a list). Another family was already waiting there for 30 minutes and waited at least another half an hour since we joined. We noticed a lot of people leaving the restaurant and I walked in to ask politely for some update. I was told that most tables are now on hold for some other reservations (via phone?) Hostess wasn’t able to tell us how long the wait would be from the on. Meanwhile it started to rain so we gave up waiting outside and left. We’re definitely not coming back. It’s obvious that Majatek Howieny isn’t about providing a genuine outdoor and culinary experience for visitors but about making money.

Absolutely fantastic food and place!

Amazing venue!!!! We had our wedding party there and our guests were thrilled! Fabulous boho, rustic vibes! We had delicious, beautifully plated food on our party. Friendly, great service! Podlasian cuisine served during the event was so good!!! Hotel was also very convenient and nice! Kids were very happy with mini zoo :) We highly recommend this place!

Delicious. Unfortunately there was no AC so unless you like being slowly boiled alive I'd skip it on very hot days.

Big thank you to the owner of that fairytale place! Rooms- clean, specious, bright and nice! Food was amazing. The Zoo and all the environment around it was so beautiful and I cannot describe the picture. I highly recommend anyone to go and see

Very nice venue located 20 min from Białystok. Great food, especially meat and desserts. Service does a good job. Great for weddings and big parties.

Huge area covered randomly with facilities so you need te be walking a lot. No pavement, grass instead so pulling stroller is challange. The facilities includes minizoo (very few animals kept in moderate or even bad conditions), restaurant, nice playground for kids and a lot of shacks and huts dedicates for weddings, parties etc. Entrance as per ticket, afair 12 PLN adult. Nice if you come for wedding or party. I don't recommend coming just for minizoo or playground.

Absolutely amazing food, the best I have ever had in any Polish restaurant ☺️ simply 7 stars! Very friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful place to see with kids friendly zoo 🙂

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! From start to finish, Ewelina and her team made our wedding dreams come true. We are still getting rave reviews from our guests from around the world about the venue, the food and the “fast service with a smile.” It was absolutely beyond anything I had envisioned. ❤️

Had a friends wedding here - really lovely location with lots to do and see

Amazing and high end county style polish food. The ambiance of the whole complex really brings you back. The restaurant is very large and the wait staff is very professional. The hot wine and hot beer were excellent on a cold December night. The steak tartare was the best o have ever eaten. Those pickles mushrooms that you see in the photo were amazing. Wife got the pork shoulder which was so good and huge we didn’t have time to take a photo. Highly recommended.

It was cool, the exterior is amazing but the interior for wedding wise needs some more intrewt in itself it's a great place for weekend endings/parties but for wedding assembly I would choose Sympathia stilll, nevertheless this place & food is amazing! I would recommend for all travelers to try it out while being on their vacation journey :)!

Great place for a wedding 💍💒

Recently, I attended the wedding reception (as a mother of Groom), which took place in the original old tsarist building of the Dwor Modrzewiowy. The wedding hall was perfectly prepared for the arrival of nearly 180 guests. Created a unique, charm atmosphere decorating the rooms with beautiful rustic and regional trinkets, drapes, lamps, flowers, twigs of herbs, etc. The dishes were great (mainly regional, local), tasty, very fresh, carefully served on beautiful folk and rustic bowls and plates. Desserts and cakes and fruits also were fragrant and fresh, a perfect choice. Employees and staff discreetly and perfectly care for everyone sitting at the table to have full jugs of drinks and choice of dishes. Staff were a beautiful regional costumes, which emphasised the already great atmosphere. Every detail was worked out and could delight even the most demanding guests. Our guests and I personally also benefited from the hotel adjacent to Majatek Howieny. And here also a polite staff provided comfort and efficient CHECK IN and CHECK OUT. The fresh breakfast in the morning was a great addition. The rooms in the hotel are decorated with taste. Clean, warm and nice. A big plus heating and instant hot water. The youngest guests enjoyed a mini zoo, rustic old buildings, old original farm equipment, old cars and other attractions like baking sausages by the fire. I highly recommend this place and I would like to thank to all staff for the wonderful hospitality and professionalism. Thanks to you ,we had a joyful time and wonderful memories.
