(Translated by Google) You just have to be here. Listen, touch and feel the terrifying story. The only such well-prepared and organized museum in this region. Over the course of a week, I was there twice and this second visit was completely different, it allowed me to get to know the story again from another angle and see what I did not see on the first. I agree with the previous opinion, the museum is large, contains a lot of small exhibits and each of them tells its own story, but the time spent on learning and listening to them is completely long. (Original) Tu po prostu trzeba być. Posłuchać, dotknąć i poczuć przerażającej historii.

It is a very well done museum devoted to Poles who were sent to Siberia by the soviet regime before, during and after WWII. There is also a beautiful memorial to the victimes of Katyń. Worth a visit. (Easy parking).

Great museum. Modern, how it should be be - the tour is very interesting (audio guides provided in many languages), interiors put you into context, and exposition is informative. Although, of course, the topic is very disturbing, but I am happy that those people who suffered from Bolshevik inhuman regime won't be forgotten.

(Translated by Google) A very cool and interesting place, another must-see for everyone who visits or lives in Białystok. The museum has 3 levels, a lot of thematic information and items, nicely presented and even a 6-year-old child walked with curiosity without whining. There is an atmosphere in this place and, what is very important, the possibility of choosing the option of visiting with an interactive audio device. I recommend it to everyone, despite small shortcomings and a small amount of parking spaces. Polecam wszystkim mimo małych niedociągnięć i małej ilości miejsc parkingowych.

(Translated by Google) A place worth visiting. The memory of what difficult fate our ancestors experienced is the hope that we will not allow something similar to happen in the future. The permanent exhibition is worth seeing, it contains many personal memories and reports. Sightseeing with an audioguide or a guide. On the premises of the museum there is a shop with souvenirs, books and historical games. You can also use a small cafe with a nice atmosphere with music from the interwar period and World War II. (Original) Miejsce warte odwiedzenia. Można też skorzystać z małej kawiarenki z miłym klimatem okraszonym muzyką z okresu międzywojnia i II wojny światowej.

Superbly curated exhibition of the stories of Poles who have been deported and exiled to Siberia by Russia over the two centuries with wonderful selection of testimonies, photos and possessions of individuals and families. Very moving but also uplifting in the determination to survive and preserve their language and culture.

Fascinating museum that is highly educational and visually stunning. Definitely worth the visit if you are touring Białystok. The headset is worth the additional 5pln, and there is an English option available. Entire museum is incredibly accessible for Polish, English, and Russian speakers.

Very emotional and moving museum but an amazing chance to learn about real Polish history. Museum is beautiful and organized very well. The atmosphere really makes you feel what these people felt. Took about 4 hours to walk through, although I looked at every single thing (how else do you visit museums 😉). I would definitely suggest visiting if you are in the area. Get the audio guide for sure, you will learn so much more than without it. Tickets and the audio guide are not very expensive!

Best museum in Białystok. ...my only complaint is some of the English translations are a tiny bit off, like someone accepted the first possible translation from a dictionary and didn't bother to check (ex: what should have been "cloak room" or "coat check" was translated as "changing room"). The museum is very somber, telling a serious story, but a couple of poor and random translations almost made me laugh, which was awkward and embarrassing... If someone from the museum reads this, I can volunteer to come again and point out the unintentionally funny mistranslations.

Incredible museum. So much tangible history. Very well organized, very informative exhibits. I highly recommend visiting as you can see, hear, and interact with an important part of history that should not be forgotten. Pamiętamy.

Great museum, detailing life in pre-war Poland to its partition by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. Also detailing the mass deportations carried out by the Soviet Union. A must for history buffs. Don't forget to visit the memorial to the 20 thousand polish officers killed by the NKVD in Katyn. A real eye opener.

One of the best museums I have ever visited. The English language electronic guide was fantastic, native speaker with clear descriptions. If you are in Białystok then it would be such a pity to miss this place. The memorial to the Katyń massacre is very moving.

Hard to be there. There is so much pain... But we must see it, because it is history. Thank you very much for so interesting place.

Great idea but it's just one room with hardly any exhibits and everything is in Polish

    Must see

This newly built museum recognises and remembers those that were deported from the region, and transported to various regions in the wider Soviet state in the East. There is a delicate balance between identifying the lives and identities of those that had their lives forever changed and the way we remember them. There are some very somber moments and the museum uses a variety of A/V techniques to help the audience conceptualise this particular moment in time. All exhibits within offer explanations in English and there is an audio headphone tour offered for a small fee. The exhibition is child friendly and a great place for their wider understanding of such local history and the wider context of how it fits into the world we live today.

A memorial to the victims of Siberia and an explanion about the politic regime if that time

This is a museum that is dedicated to an extremely important and - I would even say - intriguing subject - deportations to the Soviet Union. Current building is rather small; exposition is somewhat limited, however it is still worth the time. Waiting for the opening of the new grand building.

Well worth seeing. Helps to understand and also feel the reality of people who were "relocated" to Syberia. Also to understand the term of "Sybir" and its notorious history. I recommend to take the audioguide as it is nicely synchronized with the spot you are currently in. For me it was the place where I was ashamed to be a human - how people can do such a bad things to other ones ?

Very nice and well organized museum, that presents history of men, women and children that were forcefully deported by Soviet Union. Check online, museum has one day a week free entry. At the end of the exhibition make sure to visit memorial of the Katyn located on the basement level.

The museum is small but they are building a new one, bigger, as they have more articles, expositions and other interactive stuff to show. The reception was friendly and the guide gave explanations about everything in English. It really worths a visit. Highly recommended.
