Beautiful and haunting place to come to, particularly after a short visit to Bialystok. The area around the synagogue was being refurbished when we were there and promises to be a big improvement for access and general conservation when finished. Well done to those carrying out the momentous good works in the past years. The audio guide is in multiple languages and very good, but with one (in my opinion) unfortunate omission; no indication of the fate of the synagogue's congregation. OK, so we can assume it is common knowledge; but to my mind, a final mention of the awful fate of the population who used this place of worship would provide good context for visitors. Finally, for those wishing to pay their respects, an indication of where the last resting place is located would not go amiss.

A remnant of a Jewish community of about 1,500 people, who were shot and buried in three killing pits, by the Nazis and their Ukrainian helpers

The place is very beautiful. Declared a UNESCO heritage site. The town looks like it did during World War 2. Preserved and restored.

A magnificent monument and cultural landmark. A very reflective place and a reference to the beginnings of our civilisation. Lots of original exhibits, photographs and models. It is worth getting to know this piece of Jewish history in Poland. Cheap tickets!

Interesting view into the history of Poland's Jewish community prior to WWII. One of the larger synagogues in this part of Poland, which unfortunately exists only as a museum as the Jewish population is almost non-existent in this area.

Very interesting and sombre place. It is atmospheric because it is in an excellent state of preservation. The audio guides are useful and informative. Well worth a visit. Also try the restaurant next door for excellent, good value food, and great service.

A remarkable place with hundreds of years of history, and surprisingly well preserved frescoes and some artifacts. Restored to serve as a place commemorating the Jewish community that once lived in Tylkocin. A youtube audioguide will walk you through rhe synagogue in 15 minutes, highlighting the most important places and their meaning. There are also photographs of the Jewish people who lived here before the war donated by a WWII survivor. Very touching and poignant.

Great time travel to the 1600 Unfortunately 1800 jews were killed in a horrible masacre in the 1940s

A memory for a magnificent Jewish community that has been exterminated by the Nazies and their colabrators.

😠 I do not recommend. Baby disappointment and crying. Only near the track it turned out that the main attraction is for children over 130 cm tall. While buying tickets, the seller looked at his son and asked if he was coming in. There is, however, a significant difference between 104 and 130 cm, whic...
