Went at 10:00, the official opening time. Another lady was waiting there too. Door said open at 10:00. There was a brother from the monastery sandblasting the door. He stopped and looked back at us several times and said nothing. Around 10:20 another brother came and let us into the shop. We asked about entry and he said every hour, so the next was at 11:00. The lady waiting had already called ahead and reserved a tour for 10:00 only to be turned away.

Really cool church that is worth the visit, the surrounding area also has some a nice village and river. Never seen a church like this before with such heavy fortification

Amazing place , interesting museum

Visiting times were supposed to be until 4 pm. Arrived at 2.55 pm and everything was closed. A sign said last tour 3.30 pm. Came again at 3.20 pm, several other groups showed up - but the place remained locked. Waited till 4 pm when a monk showed up and said unfriendly: "Closed!" Don't rely on this place being open. They don't care about their own opening times. What a nuisance!

Not very friendly priests in charge of the monastery. A beautiful church albeit reserved exclusively for the Orthodox people. I just entered it to do some sightseeing and the priest told me to leave without giving any explanation whatsoever. Well, there are more remarkable Greek Orthodox churches in Greece or Turkey so I don`t have to visit some modest copy of Chora Church in former Constantinople. I was really shocked bythe lack of hospitality and good manners. Podlachia region in Poland is known as a stronghold of rednecks and nationalists. Will never come to visit this region ever again.

This Monastery complex with its baroc buildings is situated, in North Eastern Poland.In the countryard there's the Church of Annunciation, the Archimandrites` Palace (Icon Museum),the Church of St.John the Theologian and The Gate-Belltower.This monastery is leaded from the new Hellenist Bishop, Andreas Borgofski.

A great landmark in this beautiful area!

Nice place, nice museum of the Orthodox religious images. I was shocked that the icons from Belarus (like Vetka Old Orthodox icons) are called “Russian”. What a shame!

Not a tourist-friendly place, which is a pity since the town is lovely
