The only forest of this age that still exists in Europe. Very impressive, some trees in the forest are over 400 years old. It's unlikely you will see any wild animals unless you are very early (6:00). Also keep in mind you need a licensed guide to enter the oldest most well protected part of the forest. There are 3 guided options, short (2,5 hour), medium 4 hours, or long 6 hours. With the guided tour you will also received tickets for the animal reserve in which you will be able to see captive European Bisons, wolf's and lynx.

Did the Zebra Zuba (Bison Bison) walk very nice through the forest, lonely board walk keeping you off the ground

Gorgeous Forest, the environmental preservation is a super cool to learn about. You do need a licensed guide to access the core area (a sectioned off area of woods that is closely protected) however it is well worth it, as the forest is beautiful

This whole forest area is extraordinary. Untouched natural woodland with well kept roads throughout and some good dirt paths as well. There a central zoo showing some of the animals you may be lucky enough to see in the wild. Great area for biking as it's near/part of the green velo bike route.

We got a great experience and saw a bison family with 7 individuals inclusive two beautiful calves, they all gave us a great performance during our 1-2 hour attend. It is certainly far away but certainly worth while

Big forest. Beautiful. If you are nature lover ,you would love it. There are many many many mosquitoes! Be careful and be prepared. Goodluck!

A nice forest, but they should really work on improving the visiting experience. Can only be visited with a guide, but there is no online booking - you have to call them up individually to see whether they're available

The park was very impressive. Our guided tour was excellent. The guide, Patryk, was incredibly knowledgeable on plant ecology and forest systems, and was easy to talk with. The mosquitos were very aggressive despite the liters of repellant we sprayed on us, that was also the only downside.

If you understand about flora you will like it not much fauna to see. If you are not keen on trees , better don't go , you can get a bit bored. For a walk it's good , for a guide visit it can be a bit boring, not much to see .

Primeval, fascinating and a special experience to see Bison in their natural habitat.

  • 4/5 Robert De R. 9 months ago on Google • 41 reviews
The primeval forest is definitely a must and great to visit. Not many places in Europe where you can see such a vast and undisturbed nature. If you go there so see large animals and the bison in particular you might however be seriously disappointed. Finding a bison in the forest is probably almost as challenging as finding a tiger in a forest in India. The guides (compulsory in the protected zone) also do not seem to share information between them where animals could be found so the search for the needle in the haystack starts every time from zero.

Place where Zubr has been bring back to life literally. Now there’s a home for some others cute animals

Outstanding, tranquil, place where you can breathe freely. It's so beautiful and natural place. Shame that most of it grounds is closed for tourism now. Let's hope all this crazy situation will calm down soon. From other hand, even better that tourists are not there as it become even more wild and ancient. Didn't see a live human soul for a days. quality at THE best, worth to pay extra effort just to be there every possible minute. Warning!!! Watch out for wolves and bisons, close encounters are highly possible.

A unique place, a national park with bisons. They call them "zubry". An interesting place to stay and visit a nature's museum.

A lovely place for learning and discovering more about nature. Be prepared the road his long almost 4 to 5hours including the restricted area.

The remnants of the ancient European forest, it's almost wild, with few human traces. There are few roads in, otherwise it's easy to get lost

🫤 This place is very poorly maintained and almost feels abandoned. I've been to many skansens in Poland and this is by far the worst. A real shame.
