An excellent atmospheric stroll in the old and destroyed nazzi bunker from the second world war period, surrounded by an old forest and tall trees. I was surprised that 5000 people used to work here during its operation in 1940s. There are also chances to see the bats residing in the ruins, but I wasn't lucky in that respect.

Great place to visit for anyone who's interested in WW2 history. Was afraid first how much walking there would be as i had hurt my knee earlier that day, but the route around the bunkers are good even if you're limping 😅 oh.. and the cats running around was a nice bonus

A place that you should visit. Recommended to visit without kids because it's more of historical place so after a while kids will get bored. If you have a chance take audio guide 🙂

The place is worth visiting if you are having holidays in the north of Poland and are interested in history. Overall it will most probably leave you with somewhat depressed mood, after having seen what mankind has been capable of. Concrete walls of 7m and more to protect a person who has only evil in mind. Concrete walls that have been turned to rubbish by people avenging with mad rage. The exposition itself is well arranged and the location is naturally beautiful, left aside the Hitler made camp.

Waw!!! The place is absolutely stunning. A lot of sad history. The car park is clean and tidy. You can camp there for a decent price. The showers and bathrooms are very clean. Hot water. A lot of barbecue and picnic places. Totally recommend.

Wolfsschanze" was the codename of one of the Fuhrer headquarters in Europe and stood near Kętrzyn, in northeast Poland. Plans for the construction of this bunker complex was made in the autumn of 1940. About 2,000 persons worked and lived here in the period 1941-1944. The "Wolfsschanze" became famous because of the failed assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler at this place on 20 July 1944. The dictator was only slightly wounded.

Good for WWII history buffs. Good audio guide with interesting stories and facts. Poland has a lot more to offer so we walked around for an hour and got back on the road.

Despite that there are almost only a ruins here, it's really nice and interesting place. It's a quiet forest and also historical site which makes it good to spend some time walking here. Just don't make a mistake like me: you should probably get a guide. Because I didn't, and there's not much information written there, so I probably missed a lot...

Historically important land for many historians and for me, because I was born and raised here. In the way it was invested in this place and mapping is worth coming to the Masurian lands and forget about the gray reality.

In my opinion it's a very interesting place, with many buildings and bunkers still standing and showing the immense structures. Most of them have the ceilings fallen in from when the natzi soldiers tried to destroy them when they were evacuating. You can still walk through parts of two bunkers. The box inside the box design of the bunkers is very interesting to see. There is also a replica of the room in which an unsuccessful assassination of Hitler took place. It is noteworthy that Hitler spent nearly 800 days there throughout WW2. There are also exhibitions about the atrocities during WW2 in which many decisions were made in this very place. It is definitely worth visiting. My wife would give it a 4 star rating, but we will be generous with averaging the score. We had audioguides, and it was nice to walk at our own pace and listen about each place.

Wolf's Lair is a hidden treasure, off the beat experience. We were in awe of the construction and the convenient audio guide in English, it was like living a documentary. We took about 2 hrs for the tour and another hour at the restaurant. Getting there : We took the early morning train from Gdansk to Ketrzyn. From the train station at Ketrzyn we reached Wolf's Lair by a taxi, which was readily available outside the station. Food: There is a restaurant at Wolf's Lair where one can get good food and local beer.

A place with a lot of history, make sure you visit this place with a guide! If you have a large group, you can afford the guide at reasonable price. Shows how Hitler has managed his work from this headquarters and how he has simply destroyed his bunkers once he got rid of this place.

Excellent signage in multiple languages which explained the various buildings. Wide even paths made access easy for wheelchairs, prams and walkers. Lots of seats for resting. Food and beverages available. Good parking onsite at a reasonable cost. Buy a plan of the whole site from the souvenir shop to really understand the huge area.
