Absolutely amazing and world class! The experience, the chef and the food were all phenomenal. The quality and quantity of food were 10/10 and especially for the price, all worth it. We will definitely be back 😍 Highly recommend trying it out! The Teppanyaki experience was so fun and sitting around the table with family and friends is such a great experience for a special event too. The food was a so fresh, flavoursome and delicious. Great Tepanyaki experience. Tepanyaki Chef is excellent. Food is very fresh, tasty, and satiating. WA lobster and beef cooked to perfection. Staff are generally very welcoming and warm.

Nice Japanese food. Famous for their teppanyaki meal. All the food that I ordered is good except the Wagyu beef which is too expensive for the quantity given. The sashimi was fresh and delicious.

Recently, we dined in at Nishi Japanese and it was just such an amazing experience. Dining in Ala-carte allowed us to select such a delicious range of options, highlighting the garlic fried rice, flame roll and the chicken udon. The udon here has definitely become my top go to. We were able to enjoy the entertainment by watching the Teppanyaki take place as well, which was just so fun to watch! The food came out quick, the environment was relaxing and waitstaff were so lovely and welcoming. Would 10/10 recommend and come back again to try the rest of their menu and their Teppanyaki! Very satisfied customers :)

Went there last night with my partner. Great fun experience and was entertaining we had Set C teppanyaki which was definitely worth the money as the protein portions were decent. The Fried rice however was a bit crunchy as the chef left it on the grill too long without stirring it. But it was a great overall experience and I was happy that they managed to adjust my partners prawn allergy.

Visited for a friend's birthday where we all had Teppanyaki for dinner. The food was delicious, the steak, chicken, rice and vegetables that I had were amazing! I order my steak medium and it was cooked perfectly. The serving sizes were very generous, I wish I was able to fit in dessert after, but will try that on my next visit! Definitely recommend.

We tried out Nishi last night and were very happy with the service, the ambience - cosy and attractive venue - and the meals were delicious and beautifully presented. Our champagne glasses were frosty and everything arrived in good time. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were very satisfying. I would love to go there again!

Dined at Nishi with 13 adults and 4 kids last night. It was very busy on a Sunday. The teppanyaki was pretty popular with 2 seating sessions. We had set menu and cpuldnt complain. The shasimi were very fresh. The restaurant ambience is pretty nice and the staff were all friendly and nice.

Great value! The tepanyaki grill is south fun. Our chef was awesome and very skilled. The marbled sirloin beef was melt in the mouth. We'll definitely be back!

good local place to satisfy my fresh sushi craving. definitely cannot fault the salmon aburi, salmon sashimi and the teriyaki tofu which were all prepared very well. the warm sake was also wonderful, served in an insulated tub in authentic earthenware to keep it warm and beautifully sweet. the garlic prawns however were too deep fried and greasy, it gave me a tummy ache after eating them. the edamame also had a lot of inedible bean husks left in them, which get in the way of eating them properly, a problem I haven't really encountered before when having edamame. the service was alright, I feel some of the staff were a bit young and inexperienced in people interaction which made asking for things a little awkward at times, which is ok everyone has to learn from somewhere. overall it cost $73.40 which too expensive for the amount of food I got in my opinion, but I did enjoy the high quality dishes.

Would rather give no star. Appalling service, bad food, atrocious attitude. A waitress just laughed, twice, when we made known our issue at a main course taking 1hr 20 mins to arrive. Worst 'tempura' crab ever. I like good Greek fish n chips. They'd never serve a batter like that. We'll never go there again. Avoid. Just avoid.

Pricy but competent Japanese. Let's cut to the chase, don't make my mistake and order a la carte. This place is specialised teppanyaki, so save up and come and enjoy the skill and spectacle of their tepan chef at work. Whilst I didn't get to enjoy front-row seats, the bouquet from the tepan grill made my humble order all the more delicious. I'll update in 18mo when I can afford it.

This is our favourite Japanese restaurant in Perth. Lovely atmosphere, very comfortable seats and the menu is always delicious and fresh. The service is very quick even when busy. For a real treat, book in for the Tepanyaki and witness real showmanship by Aldi, the Tepanyaki chef, complete with utensil flips, fire tricks and interacting with the audience. Highly recommended for a great night out and quality Japanese food. Also a great place to eat if you have kids.

Just had the most fantastic time at this restaurant! The chef was so engaging and entertaining. He kept our 14 and 16 year old boys well entertained, and of course us too! Not to mention the food was delicious - can't wait to go back. Wonderful experience with our kids. Thank you!

Came here for the teppanyaki set, the menu is good value for money for teppanyaki and the food was quite nice (nothing special though). However the highlight of the night for us was the chef, he was extremely entertaining, skilled and put on the best teppanyaki show I’ve seen so far. Great experience and would definitely consider coming back for the teppanyaki or to try the ala carte

The teppanyaki chef was very engaging and entertaining. I got the seafood combo and the meat tasted fresh. The only downside was the mussels, I'm not sure I enjoyed the way the mussels was cooked.

Service was bad. Took 30 minutes from booking time to get the salad/miso soup room out booking. We had different appetizer and it didn't come "together" as normally is for teppanyaki. Teppanyaki taste was rather average as well but chef was quite interactive which is good.

It's a little bit pricey compared to other restaurants BUT it is worth every penny. You get plenty of food and it is absolutely delicious! The cooks are hilarious and just make the experience that much more interesting.

Take away order was incorrect. Had to wait and wait for the order to be remade, completely defeating the purpose of pre-ordering by phone. The floor was so dirty my shoes stuck to it. Outrageous prices. Won't be going back.
