We
have
been
staying
at
the
Moontide
for
10
years
and
have
had
the
opportunity
to
stay
in
many
of
the
units
over
the
past
decade.
Of
this
large
sample
size
of
experiences,
I
can
say,
the
Moontide
is
consistently,
year
after
year,
the
best
place
we
stay
when
we
travel
for
a
number
of
reasons
that
I’ll
explain
in
this
review.
First,
what
keeps
us
coming
back
every
year
is
the
people.
There
have
been
a
couple
different
owners
of
this
property
over
the
past
10
years
and,
with
each
new
owner,
they’ve
done
a
fantastic
job
of
preserving
what
has
always
been
special
about
the
Moontide
while
making
updates
to
improve
the
property.
Monika
and
Thomas
are
amazing
people
first
and
hotel
owners
second.
They
are
down-to-earth,
always
kind
and
approachable,
and
work
very
very
hard
to
make
sure
all
guests
have
the
best
stay
in
OOB.
We
could
not
think
of
better
people
to
stay
with
each
year.
Since
acquiring
the
Moontide,
they’ve
gone
above
and
beyond
to
maintain
what
was
already
there,
make
updates
(better
internet,
new
beds,
updated
paint
and
fixtures,
among
many
other
things),
and
ensure
everyone
that
stays
with
them
has
everything
they
need.
Another
theme
that
we’ve
always
noticed
over
the
past
10
years
is
that
a
good
property
with
good
owners
also
attracts
good
customers.
The
guests
at
the
Moontide
are
always
typically
kind,
quiet,
and
mostly
keep
to
themselves.
This
is
not
a
big
“party”
hotel
and
this
has
always
been
appreciated.
The
property
itself
is
immaculate
(again,
thanks
to
the
tireless
upkeep
of
Monika
and
Thomas).
The
sidewalks
and
parking
lot
are
always
spotless.
The
rooms
are
the
absolute
cleanest
of
anywhere
we’ve
ever
stayed
(and
we’ve
stayed
in
many
many
hotels
and
airbnbs).
From
floor
to
ceiling,
bedding
to
surfaces,
upon
check-in,
everything
is
absolutely
spotless
and
smells
clean.
I
cannot
overstate
how
nice
it
is
to
walk
into
a
rental
and
know
that
cleanliness
is
of
the
highest
priority.
I
also
have
always
thought
it’s
really
nice
that
there
is
such
a
variety
of
rooms,
from
smaller
hotel
rooms
(we
stay
in
the
smallest
room
there
and
wouldn’t
stay
anywhere
else!),
traditional
hotel
rooms
(two
beds,
bath,
etc),
kitchenettes,
cottages,
and
apartments.
They
can
accommodate
anything
from
solo
travelers,
to
couples,
to
larger
groups
and
families.
The
Moontide
is
also
in
the
perfect
location.
It’s
just
close
enough
to
the
pier
(about
a
0.5
mile
walk
on
the
beach)
but
also
just
far
enough
away
to
be
peaceful
and
quiet.
We
spend
each
night
of
our
stay
on
the
beach
in
front
of
the
entrance
from
Traynor
and
these
evenings
are
some
of
our
favorite
parts
of
the
trip.
It
is
so
peaceful.
I
could
go
on
and
on
but
I
will
end
here
by
thanking
Monika
and
Thomas
for
another
amazing
stay
at
our
favorite
place!
If
you’re
looking
for
a
place
to
stay
in
OOB,
the
Moontide
should
be
at
the
top
of
your
list.
