Located near Ballygunge Station, Shillong Point is a celebration of Meghalayan cuisine. The ambience is quite charming. The sitting area is on the 1st floor and has a capacity of 20-25 people. And with some good music, this place is perfect for hanging out and have some good time. Shillong Point has some great variations of momos. I had Pork Steam Momos, Chicken Fried Momos and Chicken Pan fried Momos and I have to say each of them was quite delicious. The Chilli Pork was very tasty too with a perfect balance of spices. My favourite in main course was Steamed Rice with Khasi Pork Curry. The curry was quite spicy and the pork were really juicy and went very well with the rice. In the dessert section I have to mention the Pancake with toffee sauce, you definitely have to try it out! The Caramel Custard was quite nice too. It was an amazing experience being here and would love to visit again.

Had a most satisfying lunch this afternoon. The dokhleigh & tungtap were absolutely on point. Packed chicken & pork momos, dokhleigh and alu pitika as take away. The pork momos are hands down the best I've had in Kolkata - ridiculously juicy filling with thin momo skin. The 6 pieces disappeared too quickly. This is a treasure find in a small bylane on Ballygunge Station Road. A simple signage did not prepare me for the joy I was in for. Just about 4 tables in a converted old house is the dining space, but it is clean, spacious and with the right about of seating comfort. The art work and design is also not overpowering. Special mention to the spotless clean and spacious washroom. Had I known it was so good, I would have taken my mobile and taken some pics. Will definitely be returning back whenever I miss NE food. Jhanavi (Manager) was very helpful in guiding on the dishes and answering any queries.

Shillong Point: 📍20/1/1/C, Ballygunge Station Rd, Kolkata, West Bengal 700019 @shillongpoint One of such restaurant in Kolkata which serves proper Meghalaya cuisine. With lot of varities to choose from. The seating capacity here is about 15-20 people With cute Cozy ambience to enjoy your meal I must say the staffs were very helpful and will guide you through the menu. Now coming to the food we tried: 🔸Chicken fried Momos 🔸Pork Momos 🔸Chilli chicken 🔸Pork with bamboo shoot and steamed rice 🔸Khasi chicken with steamed rice 🔸Pancake with toffee sauce and 🔸Caramel custard The food qiayis really good ,I have visited this place before also and they never fail to impress in food quality. Personally I loved the Chicken fried Momos, With good amount of stuffing inside, the momos had the perfect taste. Another one I liked was there Khasi Chicken Curry with Steamed Rice. With starters as good as main course You would have a tough time deciding on the winner. Overall our wholesome meal came to an end with delicious Pancake with Toffee Sauce and Caramel Custard. So it's worth trying, and the quality of food is really good. I would definitely visit this place again.

HIDDEN GEM ALERT : Shillong Point is a charming little eatery with a homely atmosphere celebrating the unique flavours of North Eastern Cuisine. It is located in a small building in the heart of South Kolkata near Gariahat. We tried: Wonton Fried Pork Momo, Chilli Pork, Jadoh (sticky rice cooked in pork fat) and Naga Style Pork with Lai Patta. Taste: The pork in these dishes were soft and juicy. The flavours of the curries and rice were lip-smacking. It was different from what we normally eat, and it quickly became one of our favourites. Experience: The restaurant has lesser tables than usual but the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff were friendly and their recommendations were truly amazing. Must try: Jadoh Pocket Pinch: 900 for two

Small but cozy budget restaurant for North East cuisine. They have an extensive menu for Naga, Khasi and Assamese style food, with standard Chinese options available as well. The food taste is excellent. The place is small with about 3 tables only, but has a nice cozy feel. The staff is welcoming and polite. Be sure to ask them about the food description if you have any doubt. Parking is on the street. The place is a bit inside but Google Maps leads you here properly. This is a must-stop location if you love pork dishes and NE food.

Small eatery/café located near Gariahat (Bijon Setu). Friendly atmosphere, but food quality is not so good! 😔 Their specialty is pork dishes, well, tried: Pork Chilli Dry (2/5) : chewy meat Pork Teriyaki (4/5) Jadoh Rice (1/5) : blatant, mostly rice no pork/chicken Dohneiiong (3/5) Mixed Noodles (3/5) : prawns were not cooked properly P.S.: pictures were taken by my friend and its hazy!

They say that there speciality is Jadoh(sticky rice)! ITS RUBBISH ! Local third class plain steamed rice with turmeric and ginger and four 0.5 cm size of pig fat. They must learn from SANTAS FANTASEA, how to make REAL JADOH. THE WORST & TASTELESS RICE I HAVE TASTED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! This is what we call LOOTING MONEY. And the bamboo shoot chicken was so pale. Homemade chicken stew is 100 times tastier than this horrible food. Neck pieces of chicken are provided which we dont even eat at home. 0 marination. They must learn from MOMO I AM, how to make bamboo shoot chicken. Lastly the 180/- momo was like i m eating paper. WHAT A WASTE! I wished that i get my money back. EDIT AFTER MANAGEMENT'S RPL: I am sure you have received more negative reviews about the tasteless and worst Jadoh rice in google & Zomato as i can see , even the rice was like normal rice from shop. Sticky rice is meant to be short in height as you are not the only one to know about cuisines. I can challenge you for whatever, give random people your Jadoh rice and take their review. It's NOT EDIBLE. And yes we do have 100% idea what jadoh should have or not have. Also i wish i had the image of a piece of your chicken which we got. Lastly, the negative reviews about your momos are also very prominent in google & Zomato as i can see! Try paper thin momo from any other renowned shop in Kolkata like Denzong or MOMO I Am. Thank you.

Cozy atmosphere. A heads up for all those who are going to try their Naga Dishes, it's really really spicy. We had ordered the following: Mongolian dry chicken Sticky rice cooked in pork fat - jadoh Naga style chicken with bamboo shoot Tungtap (dry fish chutney) Mongolian dry chicken is highly recommended. It was delicious. But main course was a little disappointing as I felt that the heat in the main course and the chutney was a little too much for a non hilly person and we were not given a heads up from the start. Service can take a while. But overall i really think their food's flavourful but if the chillies don't overpower the taste.

😐 Simply come here for the atmosphere and history. Nothing should be eaten here. Cold coffee was a letdown. It was cold water that had been sweetened with a pinch of coffee. The fish kaviraji was satisfactory. Despite the fact that there is a no-smoking sign on the premises, I observed people smoking...

👍👍 Recently visited this place and trust me, it was worth every penny. The ambiance was great. We had Mutton Chello Kebab. The kebabs were very juicy and tender, I couldn't stop drooling! The egg yolk was runny and just perfect. The rice portion had a nice fresh smell and all together it was magical in...
