The casino staff are extremely helpful to everyone. They didn't just give me directions they took me there. Weekday prices were very reasonable. The bingo hall was way too cold for me. Jacket temperature. They don't sell food in there so I got pretty hungry. A few more signs about which direction places are would've been very helpful. They rent scooters for those of us that need them and not overly expensive either. I had a very enjoyable time other than the cold.

All the staff that I encountered were friendly and very helpful! Loved the smoke-free gaming area. I'm not much of a gambler, but have avoided casinos over the years due to the smoke. Glad they made a separate area for smokers. Took in a show at the Mystic Showroom and stayed one night in a Promenade Tower room which was modern, clean, and spacious. Great experience overall!

I stayed here for a little family fun. I liked that the room was clean and the view of the golf course was great. But, for almost $570 for a two night stay the beds cold have been way more comfortable. They were hard and you could feel the springs and the beds made a whole lot of noise when you sit down. I didn't like that there was no microwave to warm up your food. Plus I went to their restaurant and the breakfast I got was cold and definitely not worth $25 dollars. The waiter was kind and very courteous so that was great. But, I don't think the room is worth the price. I didn't stay both days because the beds were very uncomfortable.

Was just walking on the gaming floor with my daughter (my mistake yes) but both restaurants were closed. The ice cream shop was closed. The steakhouse was on the game floor, leading me to think there could have been more on the floor since this place is huge. After looking around to see if there were places for food. an old settler man working security stopped us and was acting authoritative in his questioning. My wife tried to be super kind to him because of how he was coming off. I noticed that another security guy approached me to my left. Nothing like making an indigenous man feel like heโ€™s a danger to an indigenous hotel. Maybe just kindly say โ€œmy apologies but kids are not allowed on the floor, I am sorry but youโ€™ll have to go back around to the hotel entranceโ€ and donโ€™t try to intimidate with security. lastly, valet is also closed. The concert Monday was amazing. I donโ€™t really know what to think about everything else.

I know a lot of people here loved to smoke while playing their luck, and I respect that this was your place to do that, I but guess due to covid there are designated smoking areas now which might mean people have to go outside or walk over to a smoking area. So now if you don't smoke and want to go to the casino you don't go home smelling like cigarettes which is nice. The self serve coffee and fountain drinks area is still accessible. Not sure if any of the restaurant areas are open but I did see a staff member with a hot dog cart for 2$ a hot dog.

The rooms are nice. The view is great. The casino floor staff are amazing. The staff and food at the Asia fusion are 5 star (seriously great!) Staff at front desk were not very receptive to me as a customer. I was felt like I wasn't appreciated as a guest and they even gave me a faulty room key that the front desk mentioned wasn't working for her before she gave it to me. The next day the pool was closed - not signs, notice or information was given to guests. When I called the front desk the employee was curt and uninformative to the situation and then had claimed "everyone is pretty much well informed". Except me... Apparently. Poor service from hotel staff. If you're not a VIP or when they answer the phone without their name, YOU will get lower grade service.

Played some slots and bingo and ate dinner here. Had the chicken sandwich and some tots they were $15 and flavorless. They have a lot of old slots if that's what you like - just not for me. Bingo was bingo, but they do a great job organizing it all. Staff was all friendly and helpful. I wish they could do something to make the casino floor more fun and upbeat. Maybe a decor update?

Here's the best part- the entire playing floor is smoke free! The entire thing!!!! There is a smoking room in the middle completely enclosed that you use to smoke. Flicking fantastic. I hadn't been at this casino since I worked there 20 years ago and it was mostly unrecognizable. Many upgrades! Plenty of parking, giant hotel, table games, slot machines, video poker, cars to win, restaurants on site. I won (first time in my life) so that was a bonus. But seriously, the no smoking thing was THE BEST!

Always enjoy coming here! When I was gambling I was hitting bonus after bonus...a great time. The room was so nice...king size with 2 armed chairs with a nice desk too. Only thing I was surprised to notice was no microwave. But we never needed it. We did have a small refrigerator and iron/board. Dinner was great....like I said....it's always a joy yo come here. So many slot machines....loved it! We are going back again in a couple months. Take time to dine- in. Spend more than just one night...

Iโ€™ve been here multiple times. Great casino. Great hotel. What changed this last visit was meeting Joseph at the front counter. He immediately was not interested in helping us with our reservation. Only after help from Erin was he able to get us to our room. I have never been so disrespected. Thank you to Erin for your help. Josephโ€™s name tag was conveniently displaced when he was โ€œhelpingโ€ us. When others came back to speak with the manager โ€œthey were unavailableโ€. Going to Mystic Lake has always been a positive experience until this one.

Iโ€™ve been a Mystic Lake Casino patron for many years as I used to take my mother here to gamble plating slot machines and to eat diner at Minnehaha Cafe. Since moving back to Minneapolis in 2016 I have come out here quite often and received promos and complimentary 2 nights free room. I enjoy meeting new people and checking out the newest games and people watch. Iโ€™ve stayed at the hotel quite often, the rooms are spacious and always very clean. The remodel and updates to the rooms are great and beautifully designed. The reconstruct of the flow into the casino and parking was long overdue and keeps traffic flowing through the parking structure and outdoor parking. There is plenty of parking to accommodate a lot of people especially when they have events, concerts and shows going on during any given day &/or night. The staff is a great team very helpful, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Overall Iโ€™m a big fan of Mystic Lake Casino & Hotel.

Kinda pricey, but was well worth the costs. The steakhouse is SUPERB with excellent staff and some world class chefs (try the salmon, and yes medium is PERFECT for the Salmon). I recommend that if you're going to eat at the Steakhouse, make a reservation. On busy nights, it might be difficult to get a table. Definitely on my lists of places to visit again in the future.

Great room got a large suite and wasn't let down with living room, dining area, and small bar with extra seating. Their steak house was ๐Ÿ”ฅ... suggest the aged steaks but my friend had the duck dish that was also excellent ๐Ÿ‘. An abundance of Blackjack tables and slots to choose from. This place had the most blackjack tables open aside from grand casino Hinkley ๐ŸŽฐ. Down side was I was told we could be in our room no later than 4pm when I made the reservations and when we got there we didn't get into our room until around 7pm so no showers for our 7pm dinner reservations. We had to pay for our roll outs even tho we paid for one of the most expensive rooms... ๐Ÿ˜’ ๐Ÿ™„ other casinos we have been to comp the roll outs for renting their suites also the most expensive roll outs of any casino I've been to. Other than minor inconveniences the stay was great and the casino play was excellent.

Went on an outing with my resident here. It was pretty nice. The hot tub and pool area was packed so that kind of sucked buy it wasn't bad. The rooms were very nice. They have complimentary valet and it was the first time ever trying that, it was super nice ! Very convenient. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I've been going to bingo there for 3 weeks since I get laid off for winter. The same guy wins at least 9 times every day. It takes all the fun out of it. He spends $1200 on his bingo machine because its unlimited. It's very disappointing to all of us normal players. He sits in the corner has red hair and glasses, if you see him there don't bother playing because you won't win. Today only 7 people besides him won, he took in $1700. I recommend trying a different bingo hall. I've talked to the management 3 times they said there's no help for us. I think he works for Mystic, and they get some of the money back. If you don't believe me just show up on a weekday afternoon session. He doesn't play on weekends so your luck might be better. Very disappointing ๐Ÿ˜ž

Amazing FIREWORKS SHOW! Fireworks popping 3 hours left and right non stop as I drove away! Beautiful music performance! Atmosphere was perfect for the Fourth of July ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ I will definitely go again and the seating arrangements was perfect along with the view and porter potties available clean and sanitary! Thank you Mystic Lake for a wonderful experience and beautiful memory!

I work here so I'm only speaking from an employee's perspective. It's a really great place to work good benefits they go above and beyond to make sure you succeed in the position you applied for. After 90 days if you're not so happy with your current position there are about a trillion more to try out. I would suggest this to a friend who is starting to look for careers.

Had a good time at this casino. Had not been to one in a while. We didn't realize that MN does not have real craps or roulette so that was kind of a disappointment, but free fountain drinks, live music and lots of machines and giveaways that we saw. Had a burger which was pretty good for a casino. Will go back to try to steak house or the buffet next.

Love coming here for a late night getaway! With places not being open late, itโ€™s a convenient place to come spend time with friends/family! Atmosphere is great! The hotel was amazing, clean and well decorated. We stayed in the new tower (promenade I believe).

The rooms were dusty, blow dryer didn't work dirt on the floor in the bathroom. Valet was beyond rude (1 guy in particular not all of them). Restaurants had great food good quality, Our bellhop Jerry was absolutely amazing super nice guy. The second room we got was supposed to be handicapped with the roll-in shower they gave us a handicap room with the tub, that didn't work out well for 2 90-year-olds. Casino lobby elevators everything else is super clean, super nice, nice friendly people.

The rooms are great. If you are not a club m member they are a bit pricey. Not the fastest service but also not bad. And just a little bit of a drive from the twin cities. Can't complain about the entertainment value. So all in all a very good place.

This place is the Michael Jordan of Casinos! Literally the G.O.A.T.! Way better and looser slots than Talking Stick Resort and Casino in Scottsdale! Food is great! If at the steakhouse ask Jennifer, she was a great server! Not to be confused with Jennifer who is the manager who is also great! Or if heading over to the little six casino have Pete be your server heโ€™s fantastic! Overall, service is great and they put so much into this place!

Very impressed with the casino and hotel. Hotel room was above-average and fairly updated. The food options are limited but quite good (especially fusion noodles). Casino was immaculate with tons of staff. Only downside was a lack of table game selections (blackjack only) and drinks were over-priced and not very strong. Would absolutely return!

Hotel only - For what would normally be an average 3, Mystic Lake Hotel earns a 4-4.5. Solid, clean rooms. Mattress was not old. The service team - from the person picking you up at your car to the desk service - this is a great group. I didn't hear any noise from other hotel guests other than the doors opening and closing in the hallway Nice view at higher elevated rooms. The clean and artistic appearance of the elevators gives a nice light.

Extremely sad that they don't have a buffet any longer. Actually, they really don't have any choices anymore of food. One cafe, 2-3 fast food and a Steakhouse that you either spend all your money for gambling at or all your winnings. Ridiculous prices in the Steakhouse. The casino area is very clean, no smoke filled rooms any more and some remodeling. I understand that the pandemic has a lot to do with the food areas and the changes with in but I figured that a casino as large as Mystic Lake and as profitable as Mystic Lake would have figured something out in the last two years for people to be able to have a great eating experience at a reasonable price.

Had a good time & would stay again. The place is well run & the staff were friendly. The price of the room was jacked up considerably for an event which kinda sucked. The room was clean & had good amenities though. The bed needed to be replaced but had very clean sheets & comfy blankets. There wasn't a pen & notepad in the room which for once I could have used ๐Ÿคฃ

It used to be more fun back in the day because at least you would hear people having fun and getting jackpots but there was hardly anyone there and no one was winning. Did you know that they have the tightest slots in the country!?!! I looked it up and it's true!!! Yeah when there weren't online casinos it was something to do at least but now it's just a waste of space.

The renovations that they've done are great. I do however, like the fact that there's no longer smoking all over the casino. They have a dedicated spot for it. Unfortunately, I gave the hotel three stars simply because the service with the employees is atrocious. No one seems to know where anything is and no one can direct you in the right direction without attitude. Ugh! It's like I get we're in a pandemic, but this has really become our everyday way of life. If you're dealing with the public, you should be a little more courteous.

No one does it better than the people running Mystic Lake Casino! Without a doubt Mystic Lake is the best overall casino experience this side of Vegas. (and better than most of them too based on my one-time trip there.) Not only is Mystic Lake the best overall but they pretty much take the win in every other category too. The hotel is great, the staff on every level is great, whether it's the cleaning staff (who are beyond exceptional actually) or the people who come take your picture when you win (not me but I witnessed it happen). In fact, if it wasn't a casino they were running it would still be a success I'm quite sure because no other place has grown and developed in close to the way that this one has so is obviously based on well put together systems of management and high quality staff. After I took a look at the history and the people running the place while I was there waiting a long time for someone one night, I better understand why they are top notch. I really appreciate all the little things they get right whether you're gambling or not. A++

It had been a couple years since we have been here, but one thing we were sooooooo bummed about was the buffet was gone. It was a big reason we wanted to come because it's the best. We won and lost like usual, but it was fun. Don't come hungry. Also, watch out for people standing too because I'm pretty sure I was about to get my wallet taken from my purse before I closed it tight and they and they moved on.

The slots were pretty tight both nights we went but we had a blast finding favorite slot machines we hadn't seen lately, ones we used to love way back, and new, exciting games. We never even got to see everything. The lights bring excitement and a burst of energy. The entire place was really nice and interesting. We didn't make it to restaurants on time but did enjoy pizza and sesame chicken on the promenade. Service was always quick and Friendly. They even have "slot dog" carts walking around the floor selling. I did feel the drinks were a bit steep but appreciated the free coffee or soda areas scattered around. We had only planned on going one night but there was so much yet to see that we went back the next night.

Went to celebrate my bday, had so much fun, loved the tables but wouldn't do the slots again, one of them took $20 from me on a 50 cent pull. But overall my night was great.

No issues. Except the front desk at the hotel has recently been really short and rude. They are usually pleasant and had great customer service. But in the past few weeks they been rude as if itโ€™s a burden to provide service. Itโ€™s the tone and expression. I even got hung up on while saying thank you. The training department and supervisors need to send customer facing employees back to retraining or address the issue. If Iโ€™m complaining it means thereโ€™s many more that are staying silent.

  • 3/5 Eyob W. 8 months ago on Google
The place is insanely amazing but the service was average! Most of the games just take your money. No direction or instructions for new players who just want to have a fun night out! It isn't about winning but it is about having fun! I didn't expet to win big but at least have some fun. Felt like out of place!

  • 3/5 d j. 6 months ago on Google
It's fun but only once or twice. Hundreds of machines but they're basically the same. Only a few cars tables unless you play high dollar poker separate rooms. Employees are rude that I have met and managers won't even look at you. Food is pretty good if you want an $88 steak.

If you're there on a weekend or same night as a big show or event, make dinner reservations! We were unable to get in and be on time for the show at any of the restaurants on site but the food court area was great! They just need more seating. Didn't stay the night, so no opinion on the rooms. Friendly staff and a really nice place overall! More signs to direct people where to go would be beneficial. We left a little richer, too!

We've been to Mystic Lake many times, and I'm happy to say their pillows have gotten better. It used to be abysmally soft, but now it seems they've gotten better pillows. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. It's also updated for all the snooty people put there lol there's a coffee machine and a fridge but we didn't use either. I like that only guests with key cards can come to the hotel part of the place. It's somewhat safer, although one can still game that system. I also like that there are people who are stationed to watch over the hotel elevators. When or are they ever bringing back the buffet? I loved that buffet! For this trip, we were here very late-- past midnight and so for food, we went to The Promenade where you can get pizza or fries or burger or noodles for a late-night grub. The beverages are expensive so I say just find the free beverage dispenser and get drinks from there. Cosmic Bingo is back, for all of us not really into gambling. But otherwise, the casino floor looks pretty cool, very much like a small Vegas casino with all the bright lights and cool bars everywhere.

We stay at the Casino often. They give us room upgrades a lot, even without a players card. Mostly good experiences. Don't use your debit card at the soda vending machines near the rooms though. Our cards get declined after the use in these machines for some reason. Other than that, great experiences.

Saw a 311 concert here. The venue is very nice and well managed. Got right in, staff was very nice and helped us find our seats. The sound balance seemed to be a little off or maybe a little too loud for the size of the space. It sounded gritty and blown out at times, but overall it was an excellent show and good experience.

Enjoyed a 3 night stay for a birthday celebration. We got upgraded to a king suite and it was an amazing room. Staff is outstanding. Minus the cleaning staff she seemed bothered that we asked for clean towels.(room is not cleaned daily.) Main casino can be overwhelming with so many machines and people. Some people we found rude. Little Six casino right next door is much smaller. We ate dinner there and the food and waitstaff was fantastic. We were told to eat there vs the very expensive steak house in main casino. We were not disappointed. Also valet is free just tip. We will definitely stay again.

  • 5/5 sata600 6 months ago on Google
Great staff!! Some customers are rude near the soda fountain machines, so Mystic Lake should just install a double. But double the logistics, double the rudeness, not sure it will truly help, but something to keep track of .. Food is good here, except fries - theyโ€™re disgustingly bad. Onion rings are a gem, but not all of them are fully cooked properly (power in them sometimes- gross). Win big on major holidays and some left over for its upcoming weekend. But donโ€™t blow it all on luck.

Slots are tighter than two coats of paint. That's what happens when there's only one unregulated casino in the metro area. Good for the tribe and State of MN but not for the slot players.

Happened to get a chance to get a free room and a free meal in the event center a little after my birthday. I missed the bingo due to the time of the dinner. I ended up losing all my money, but the hotel room was EVERYTHING! It was nice, quiet, and comfy, although the walk to it seems like a thousand miles.

We stayed in a beautiful room, clean and spacious! The concert we attended was fantastic and all the amenities were easy to access! Planning to stay again at Mystic Lake Casino before we had even left the building. I would highly recommend a visit.

The rooms are very clean and well maintained. I was pleasantly surprised by my room size and the tasteful decor. The casino itself was impressive compared to others that I have been to. A large variety of machines (new and old), as well as all of the other entertainment options on-site. The 3 star is for their maintenance workers starting loudly each morning (6 a.m.) our last morning before flying back home I had hoped to get a good sleep. Instead, it was loud banging and drilling shortly after 6:30 .m. I was awoken/startled with the loudness of it. I did call downstairs to let them know, but unfortunately it did not stop for at least the next two hours. It would be beneficial to have them start a little later in the mornings and to consider their sleeping guests.

Worst casino in the United States there payout is .01 percent of there winnings meaning your going to loss 99.99 percent of the time you walk in there. The State Department must being being paid off or they would have shut this casino down years ago for not paying out the minimum needed to the patrons that come to this establishment! It's legally theft at its best !!! Service? What's that at this casino you could spend 10k in less than 6 hours and no one ask if you need a drink come on. Half the machine are broke don't work properly set to take take take!!! Unless you play 10.00 a spin you aren't going to win.

Saw a concert in the amphitheater. Perfect place for any concert! Will definitely be back! We would of spent the night but not for $400. When 10 min away it's $125. If your attending an event there, you should get special pricing.

This place is a con! They all of a sudden put their progressives up once the gaming commission comes in and warns them. But still don't have to pay out. I love how they gloat about being the #1 casino in profit haha of course they are. They take everything from people. They rob you cause they know they can. Open casinos for anyone to open. Give them competition. They should not have exclusive rights!!

Didnโ€™t stay at the hotel on this visit. Always a great casino to play slots at - well over 4,000 slot machines! Always clean, has many self serve beverage stations, and my sense of winning is always good! Hit some wins this visit and left with more $$ than I had when I arrived - thatโ€™s a big day!

It was a really fun place.. only issue was we didn't win big! So... had to take off a star, lol.. this is a great place to stay and play. The service was friendly and catered to making guests feel welcome and safe. I really enjoyed every aspect of their facilities.

Mystic Lake puts on a great firework display! Not sure what went behind planning the food for the Gin Blossoms concert though. Lines were so long and service was incredibly slow! Gotout of food line after waiting 10 minutes and only moved up 2 people! Went inside to grill to get food instead and there was no line at all. Got food and ate within 25 minutes! Played a couple slot machines and won $230.00! Went back outside for fireworks! Perfect evening

First, Carla, (Karla) at the front desk was so quick to helping and jumped right into action. She gets 5 Stars. Secondly, I spoke to two different people in the reservation department, and the first guy hung up on me simply because I asked if he knew if it was possible to book my flight and hotel bundle together while still using the bridal parties blocked off section. The gentleman proceeded to tell me that he does not book flights, and thatโ€™s not his problem and travel agents typically do that. I informed him Iโ€™m not asking him to book a flight. I am simply asking if the reservation desk has any knowledge of somebody doing this previously, and during the conversation he must became so frustrated that he hung up on me. Thankfully, when I called back to the front desk, Carla was amazing. I was able to answer the question within seconds whoever you have working in your reservation department needs to be properly trained and does not get the right to hang up on people, for simply not understanding the question. Iโ€™m appalled that this would even happen to anyone simply asking a question. Thatโ€™s unacceptable. This is before Iโ€™ve even set foot in the hotel/casino. Thank you again Carla for such great quick care and understanding my question and having the skill set to answer it. 5 golden stars for you.

Mystic Lake is by far One of the best casinos in the area, especially in the Midwest. Everything is very clean and their service is typically above par. The rooms are great and very comfortable. My only suggestion to them would be to offer more breakfast options other than the one restaurant and to reconsider the pricing on their drinks. A regular drink such as a rum and coke is served in a small lowball glass and is $8. You're not allowed to even ask for a tall glass which would really just consume extra pop.

  • 3/5 Shaun C. 1 year ago on Google
Needs better more understandable signs for directing traffic. Rooms are way too pricey for what they offer (double the price or more of the other hotels in the area. The interior is very nice and appealing, but meal options are somewhat limited and over priced. Also, bring back the buffet! Staff is friendly and helpful almost always.

Loved going to work there too! When I was living in that state I liked how they managed the place and it was busy all day and night remember it was coming close to my Birthday so I wanted to be able to play machines there because I wasn't familiar with all the surrounding Casino's! And I worked in the area where we lived too at fast food in the evening and weekend so I went and quit for awhile because I told my mom we can go find another casino but when my Birthday came around I was able to go play at Mystic Lake Casino because of there rules as a employee you can play where you work couldn't get tips either so things really changed because here people who manage and run our Casino even work inside them play the machines too! Always nice and clean..

Great time. We stayed at the hotel. The room was clean and I slept like a baby in the comfortable bed. Didn't win. Spent $900 in the Casino but they had a band playing on the floor of the Casino floor that was outstanding. We loved our stay.

Room was very nice....however the view of the air conditioner and the roof did not sync with the cost of the room....over $300. Price changed at check out....still waiting for credit from the Hotel. Stayed at the casino the night the Mavericks performed....the venue and the band's performance do deserve a 5 star rating. Very busy Saturday night....after the concert, lots of folks and people watching.

Was a lot of fun! I like the new machines and my 18 year old first time loved the fact there is a caribou coffee and they ice cream sweet shop was very popular. Nice room and relaxing. Enjoyed the Temprature of the heated pool and only thing we still talk about is hope they update the hot tub area. Its always so crowded and outdated . other than that. Great time

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ This is one of the most beautiful golf courses that I have seen. All of the employees are courteous and presentable. They gave us the pleasure of riding around in the cart to take pictures for this review. Here are some of the pictures that we captured. Thank you again for allowing us to do this!
