Although the staff and doctors are really helpful but the management is totally in shambles and incompetent, it's so dirty that i can't even begin to tell, mosquitos every where, the toilets inside the wards are horrible, the stench itself is horrible, i know the patient load is way too much but some basic cleaning should be done everyday, inside the premises the hawkers are openly selling gutkas and cigerattes and the hospital walls are painted by the same gutka eaters , it's an inrony knowing that NBMCH has it own police station inside , i hope the scenario improves. Although I am thankful towards nurses and doctors they were very patient and calm.

So clean govt hospital. Beautiful environment, so many trees, looks like a garden. Doctors are too good. It's almost free. Only 2 Rs. fee for doctor visit. Medicines are absolutely free. I have so much faith in this govt hospital.

North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMC&H) is located in Sushrutanagar, on the outskirts of Siliguri, West Bengal, India. It is the largest and the oldest healthcare teaching institute in North Bengal region of West Bengal, serving as a tertiary referral institute. The college has teaching programs for graduation and postgraduation.

The admission for this college was NEET. Neet is a medical entrance examination all over INDIA,the question quality is easy, but individual competition is tough. For application form you need go through ntaneeet website, form fill up is started mostly in February, the cut off marks is vary year by year. I think that examination is very fair, you need to study well for whole year to qualify.

North Bengal Medical College & Hospital is the finest govt. hospital. Here, electronic ticket system can be seen. Only 2 Rs. is needed. The photos are attached. In front of OPD Ticket Counter. Personal Suggestion: if you want to purchase ticket, do come early by 9.00-9.30 AM, the ticket counters open at 10.00 AM. Later, crowd can be the highest.

Doctors are highly educated.... But still can't maintain or take any action for unhygienic condition of this medical College.... If a patient will admit here more than 7 days .... Then he/she will die bcoz of this dirty condition ...... Hospital should be neat and clean.... It's the first thing that come in our mind ... When we visit a hospital... But this hospital's condition πŸ₯΄... Omg .... Siliguri's second dumping yard ... If u will visit the patients washroom area.... Trust me u will regret πŸ₯΄...... First thing to do is to clean the surroundings of patients ward .... Govt hospital doesn't means that people are worthless..... It's the speciality of our NB medical College and hospital πŸ₯..... When this hospital will highlight in North Bengal newspaper πŸ—žοΈ... Then only they will take some actions.... πŸ˜‚

Doctors are okay, but most of the staffs are very unprofessional and rude towards the patients and family members. Also too expensive. They charge separately for nurses on duty, for every admitted patient they give unnecessary stuffs and add up in the bill. If you go there, just be clever and keep track of everything.

Despite good doctors and nurses, worst place for visiting the NBMC. Scoop of garbage and plastic has been spread here and there otherwise facilities and campus is very good. Needs better housekeeping. If fund crunches is there some charges should be applied. But housekeeping must be improved.

Very poor facilities, one of the famous govt. Hospital in North Bengal but its not upto the mark. I took my pregnant wife for delivery as she is suffering for labor pain but they didn't care of it and took atleast 1 hour for checkup and given a pain killer injection and told us to come after 9 days. I totally lose my hope from this hospital. Very very poor facilities.

The sanitation and hygiene of the centre is really horrible. A large hospital as North Bengal medical college is a hopeful place for seeking medical assistance to most of the people and as such it should be a healthy place.

Nurse at the emergency was so rude,no sense of compassion towards the patient, so were the wardboys. These people should be taught to be nice to patients other than just giving them medical training.

Department of Pathology is not working in the proper time. You have to wait atleast two months for just Histopathology report. Worst experience of the Pathology Department's service. I think they are not doing their job well and it is very dangerous for sirious patients. I request to the management authority to do something for the concerned problem..

It's a multi speciality government aided hospital. Cleanliness and maintenance is a concern here. In terms of health care facilities it is the largest hospital in North Bengal and provides services to almost 7 northern Bengal districts.

Thinking Out of the Box Once upon a time, a merchant named Sam owed a huge sum of money to Tom, a money lender. The time came when the merchant ran out of the last chance given to him to give the money back. Sam had a beautiful daughter who was very affectionate with her father. Tom asked the merchant to give all the money back failing which he will marry his beautiful daughter. Tom was not at all good looking and ill minded and so the merchant was in dilemma. Tom proposed a new condition. There was a mix of black and white pebbles on the ground where they were standing. He will take two pebbles on both hands, one will be white and the other will be black. If the daughter correctly chooses the white pebble, then Tom will write off all the debt and leave the marriage proposal too. But if she chooses the black pebble, he will write off the debt but will marry the daughter. Tom bent down to pick the pebbles from the ground and the daughter noticed that he took black pebbles on both hands. The girl had three choices- to notify the same to her father which may provoke Tom, take the black pebble and sacrifice her life or simply refuse to take the pebble which might land her father into trouble. But what she did totally surprise Tom. She took the pebble from his hand and β€˜accidentally’ the pebble fell off from her hand to ground. She then asked Tom to see which color pebble was left in his hand to identify the color she picked. Tom had no other choice but to show the black color pebble in his hand and set both of them free. Moral:Β Sometimes, life offers you situations which not only demands hard work and perseverance but some creative thinking which saves the situation.

It was good. It's nice to see the efforts rendered by the government for enhancing the improvement. The doctors and all the staffs involved are very much devoted to their respective assignment. Hats off to the frontline warriors. May God bless them all.
