Made by the Mughal Emperors, that is why the name "padshahi Bagh" Maintenance is good but it can even be better. Old, gigantic and beautiful chinar trees, researchers say arround 400 years old, make this place gorgeous. Their fallen leaven in autumn 🍁......aahh.....that's magical. Over all this place is very beautiful and attractive. Always loved this place🖤

Beautiful garden. This was my Ist visit to this place and it was not crowded enough to experience the people around especially when you r on shoot. It is good enough for cover fall....and good rest place under the shadows of Chinar.

The nation behaves well if it treats its natural resources as assets which it must turn over to the next generation increased, and not impaired, in value. The more successfully a city mingles everyday diversity of uses and users in its everyday streets, the more successfully, casually (and economically) its people thereby enliven and support well-located parks that can thus give back grace and delight to their neighborhoods instead of vacuity. In merging nature and culture the most successful cities combine such universal needs as maintaining or restoring contact with the cycles of nature, with specific, local characteristics. Parks and playgrounds are the soul of a city.

Well maintained by jammu and kashmir bank but it is on side of national highway so i do not recommend it to be for family tour because their is noise of vechiles and it is recommended only for resting place for sometime And if you are couple then unfortunately it is not having any privacy as you will be visible to from every side of garden and for general purpose like resting for a while it is good place

I had the pleasure of visiting a lovely picnic park on the roadside that was simply breathtaking. The park was adorned with stunning chinar trees, which added a beautiful touch to the already picturesque location. One of the things that impressed me the most was how clean the park was. The grounds were well-maintained, and I could tell that the staff took great pride in their work. It was evident that they made a conscious effort to keep the park clean and tidy for visitors like myself. The location of the park was also a highlight for me. Being situated on the roadside meant that it was easily accessible, making it an ideal spot for families, friends, or anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing day outdoors. Overall, I would highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a beautiful and clean outdoor space to enjoy. Whether you're looking for a place to have a picnic or just want to take a stroll among the beautiful chinar trees, this park is definitely worth a visit.

Lovely park, parking facilities available. Spacious and lush green park. Well maintained. Chinar tress are the main attractions and they act as coolers for the park. Nice place to visit in summer.

Dara Shikoh Garden is a Mughal garden situated on a side of Bijbehara, Pahalgam road which is 45 km away from the capital Srinagar. It is situated on the bank of the river Jehlum. It constitutes centuries-old Chinar trees which were planted by the Mughal emperors which they brought from Iran and that is why it is also known as Town of Chinars Dara Shikoh a Mughal Emperor, eldest son of the fifth king of Mughals Shah Jahan built the garden in the early 17th century and was opened on 1640 A.D.

This is a really good place to go and spend time . It is bestowed with big and tall Chinar tress and it is on the banks of river Jehlum . It is best seen in autumn when the leaves of chinar trees are orange .

The famous mughal garden dara Shikoh located in bijbehra tehsil of anantnag district. The garden has an area of 100 canals approximately. But unfortunately the authorities are more concerned about its revenue ,as the garden lacks various facilities there should be atleast 10 bathrooms, and inspite of all this the place is becoming a nightmare for female visitors as there are continuously roaming drunkards. Hope these queries will be considered

In olden days I.e. before thirty-five years the park was not walled neither was maintained as it is. In the East and North it was surounded by wire mesh and the remaining sides were open. There were Chinar trees and a part was planted with apple trees. In the center there is a beautiful pond. Walnut trees and apricot were always there. At the northern gate there was a huge walnut tree that yielded about 1000(one thousand) KGS of walnuts. The chinars usually shed the twigs and old branches in autumn and due to heavy snowfall the big chinar branches fall after breaking due to heavy snow fall. People used to use the wood as fire wood. So people of the village also called it their local jungle.
