The Place is Unique , with a tons of rats .. I'm not sure about health standards because Belief often captures it all in +91 .. But anyway it gave a different experience.. You are advised not to eat anything from the stalls outside the temple

I've heard and read a lot about this temple and I was totally shocked and amazed to see so many rats there. It's nothing less than a miracle. Needs a bit of maintenance as there are always rats roaming around. More cleaning needed. They charge extra for taking pictures even outside the main temple, which I think is unnecessary.

The presence of rats here is for real. There are around 20k rats easily. I had only seen this on National Geographic Channel on TV earlier. It's astonishing to see how bold these rats are in the sense that they are not afraid of us humans even a tiny little bit. They are quite harmless too. It's definitely a very unique experience. One of a kind for sure. Keep in mind that a lot of shop owners insist free parking in front of their shop, but they will not allow you not to buy 'prasad' for rats. Rats already have plenty to eat there. In fact, the food is overloaded. It's best you avoid littering it even more, unless you are fearful of God, etc. Definitely worth a visit. Jai Mata Karni. Well maintained temple in the area. Parking is an issue. Guys try to forcefully stop you in between and ask you to park your vehicle in front of their shop, don't do that. Instead park opposite side of the shops. Management please look into the matter of stopping vehicle in between. Overall everything is nice. Cleanliness is well maintained.

This is not actual temple, This place is loacted in city of bikaner, while real temple of "Karni Mata" is located 30 km from bikaner at "Dashnok" village, on bikaner-Jodhpur highway. Try to search dashnok, not this one, i have already suggested and edit for this place. Note:- one star is only for wrong place shown in Google map, nothing related to place.

The Karni matha temple near Bikaner, Rajasthan is a Hindu temple of goddess Karni. The uniqueness of the temple is that you will find many many rats in the temple premises. People worship them here. Ample parking space available in and around the temple. In front of the temple, a Karni museum is also there. You can visit here after visiting temple. Temple is open till 10pm. Wear Mask and maintain safe distance during this COVID pandemic period.

Temple is worth visiting, it's 30km away from Bikaner. As many of the reviews says it's interesting to see thousands of rats roaming around each and every corner of this temple. They say that between these thousands of black rats if you find white one it's blessing and good luck. White rat 🐁 symbolises goddess Karni Mata 🙏

Buses, taxis & jeeps - easily available from Bikaner. Situated near Deshnok Railway Station. It was highly crowded during day time. Aka the ‘Chuhe wala Mandir’ - the temple of rats. It is said that there’re around 25000 rats 🐀 inside the temple. When you step in the temple, you see rats all over the floor. Be very cautious with your steps.

I recently visited Karni Mata temple and was thoroughly impressed by the beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere. As I walked through the temple, I saw numerous black rats which are considered holy and treated with utmost care by the devotees Out of all of the thousands of rats in the temple, there are a few white Rats, which are considered to be especially holy. They are believed to be the manifestations of Karni Mata herself and her four sons. Sighting them is a special blessing and visitors put in extensive efforts to bring them forth, offering prasad, a sweet holy food. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to this temple to anyone looking to experience the rich culture and spirituality of Hinduism.

Karni Mata is most revered diety and devotees throng to this place from all over India. The devotees can park their vehicle in the designated parking slot or can park in front of any shops who will take care of the safety. The only catch here is that you have to buy Pooja items that may cost you INR 100. There is a shoe stand service which is free of cost. You will start seeing the rats right there and all th3 way into the temple. Don't be scared. Just walk and you will get your way. A place yo visit to experience the co-habitat attitude. Enjoy Madi.

I recently visited Karni mata temple and my experience was very nice. Temple is very beautiful, peaceful environment. As I enter inside the temple, I saw numerous rats inside the mandir. When we entered inside the gate, there were lots of vendors who force you to park your vehicle outside there shop, instead of that parking is available opposite of the shops, near the temple. Opposite of karni mata temple there is karni mata museum where you can visit and see some photographs related to the life of karni mata. The charge for the museum is 5Rs/- person.

This is a religious place known as KARNI MATA MANDIR. This place is located at DESHNOK, about 40 KMs from Bikaner Rajasthan. One can reach there by own conveyance, bus and by train at DESHNOK. This temple is famous for rats. There are an unaccountable number of rates. They are at every place on the temple. Many rats die there but there has never been a plague observed in last 1000 years. There are many places to stay like hotels & Dharamshala. A very nice & famous place.

Popularly known as the Karni Mata Mandir, this temple is the most called upon tourist attractions in Bikaner. The temple is dedicated to Karni Mata, who the locals believe is an incarnation of Goddess Durga, the protective Mother Goddess in Hindu religion. Karni Mata was a Hindu warrior sage from the Charan caste, who lived in the fourteenth century. Living the life of an ascetic, Karni Mata was highly revered by the locals and earned many followers too. Having received requests from the Maharajas of Jodhpur and Bikaner, she even laid the foundation stones of the Mehrangarh and Bikaner Forts. Although there are many temples dedicated to her, this temple in the town of Deshnoke at a distance of 30 kilometers from Bikaner is the mostly widely recognized. The construction of the Karni Mata Temple was concluded in the early 20th century by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner. The entire temple structure is raised in marble and its architecture evinces resemblance to the Mughal style. Adding to the charm of the attractive marble façade are solid silver doors that lead to an entry to the compound within. The panels of the silver doors depict the many legends of the Goddess. The idol of Karni Mata of Bikaner sits within the inner sanctum of the temple,a 75 cm tall statue holding a trident (trishul) in one hand, adorned by a crown and garlands. The idol of the Goddess is accompanied by that of her sisters on either side. The enhancement of the temple was further carried out in 1999, by Kundan Lal Verma, a Hyderabad-based Karni Jeweler. The marble carvings and silver gates were his contribution to the temple.

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻My favourite temple. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 This temple is located in Deshnok, around 30km from Bikaner city. You can have regular bus service from bikaner and you can even go by booking personal taxi service from bikaner. This temple is also called as TEMPLE OF RATS. Around 25000 rats in temple and some few white rats. White rats consider as lucky if it's visible to you. The temple is dedicated to Karni Mata, who the locals believe is an incarnation of Goddess Durga, the protective Mother Goddess in Hindu religion. Karni Mata was a Hindu warrior sage from the Charan caste, who lived in the fourteenth century. The construction of the Karni Mata Temple was concluded in the early 20th century by Great Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner. Around 1km from main temple, you can visit the new Museum called Shree Karni Museum. It's very beautiful and ticket cost is around 5 INR . It's much informative museum and history of temple. Finally have a visit once if you went Bikaner.

Karna mata temple is situated in bikaner district (Raj). This is situated in a village named Deshnok and this is also a railway station. Temple to railway station distance is approximately six to seven hundred metres only. Karni mata temple is famous for rats called 'KABA'. there are thousands of rats in karni mata temple Deshnok bikaner . You can go there by bus from bikaner district head quarter Bus pickup you from 'ambedkar circle' located nearby bikaner railway station about to five hundred metres from bikaner railway station. Karni mata is a holy place some people used to take milk for KABA'S which used to move here and there in temple . And there is Many things like doors and other made with silvar (chandi). You must visit This place. This is also a miracle here that rats are living here from hundred of years but there is no negetive effect on human beings like any illness sickness or other negetive effect on their health and environment, by this fact we can call this combination of rats and humans miracle or god's gift . Karni mata was also a woman with super powers. she done many of miracle for other people by her super power.

The world Famous Rat Temple...... Karni Mata mandir is an experience that must not be missed. The place is full of rats that run around. It's not at all scary as they do not harm. One must be careful not to step on any one as folklore says if you kill a rat you must present one of a similar weight in silver to the diety Karni Mata. Try and spot one of the 4 white rats here. It is supposed to be very luck

I don't like rats moving all around in the temple but it is supposed to be kabas of Shri karani Mata and are given milk, food chana. Beautiful mandir but not clean from inside. The whole mandir is beautifully carved. The entrance is beautiful. Ceilings are painted beautiful with devata paintings. The shopkeepers sell bangles at a high cost which I got at half price elsewhere. Due to our faith in Mataji we bought there.

Plenty of tourists too. I'm told that there was a National Geographic documentary about the temple.. People believe that seeing a white rat brings them good luck. It's located around 30km from Bikaner. Buses are available frequently. Some buses drop you around 1-2 km before the temple, don't take those. There are direct ones also available. Temple is well maintained I'd say considering its a 'rat temple'. And no need to be scared as rats are used to human activity. They won't bother you, just keep distance. Better to go in the morning to avoid the crowds.

You can see them everywhere inside pooja room, near prasad, cooking room. I can ran out of places but its really everywhere. Unlike any other mouse they are friendly and eat food from you hands. Everyday sharp at 7:10 its time for evening aarti and 4:10 in the morning. Yoh can get feed for mouse pigeons from outside the temple and ofcouse prasadam is there.
