Lalgarh Palace is a palace and heritage hotel in Bikaner, in the Indian state of Rajasthan, built for Sir Ganga Singh, Maharaja of Bikaner, between 1902 and 1926. Laxmi Niwas Palace is a part of Lalgarh Palace but it has been given on lease and recently is being used as a heritage hotel. Khamma Ghani ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

We thank Mr Rajendra Singh for an awesome hospitality and to provide us with an amazing experience at this palace. It is a pure heritage property. A stay here is very much recommended when you visit Bikaner if you want to experience true royalty like stay.

Haven't visited the rooms or restaurant but the museum is the best if you are a history fan. Also, the royal family lives in the same premise so no compromise on security.

Maharaja Ganga Singhji of Bikaner, commissioned a Palace that has withstood time and desert sun for over a century. Located in Bikaner (Rajasthan), deep in the heart of the Thar Desert, the Lallgarh Palace has all the charm and splendor of a royal age that has long since gone. The Palace has a surprisingly harmonious blend of east and west and is considered among the most remarkable royal residences built during the 19th century. Its Architect, Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob, valued the contribution of local Indian craftsmen. The result is a grand structure with classical Mughal and Rajput touches adorning the exterior, and British-inspired interiors, complete with billiard, smoking, and card rooms.

Beautiful place to stay with helpful staff. The wonderful gardens and palace itself are the main reason to stay the night. The rooms need a little maintenance but exude a real grandeur. The restaurant works with a buffet and we found it a little less good.

Great name but nothing in reality. There's a saying in hindi 'Naam bade darshan chote', apt for this hotel. They don't have proper track of who booked the hotel how many bookings they have nothing. They wasted half an hour of ours to only retrieve our booking. Next the room its vintage but they forgot even vintage things need to be maintained and serviced if it has to be used further. Ac in the room sucks we had to pull out bed very close to the Ac so that we could have a sleep. Complimentary breakfast and dinner both were yuck. 3-4 dishes and even those dint taste anything , small roadside shops offer better taste . Over priced ala carte . Only thing worth is the ambience outside the hotel . There's good greenery . Overall 1/10 . I would suggest not to opt for this hotel to stay . You would find much better properties than this at a lesser price. Really bad experience.

This hotel looks very fabulous from outside but inside picture is very different. The rooms are very old, smelly, bedding is stinky. Breakfast is too limitedโ€ฆ

Situated near Junagarh palace and the main market. You will easily get an auto once you move out of hotel complex. Second the hotel is a heritage property which can be felt once you enter the premises. Third, you can gain access to laxmi niwas palace also. The checkin was fast smooth and polite. So all in all its good. Now as far as food is concerned they will make it as you wish spicy non spicy. The food tasted good as it did not invite any digestive problems due to excess oil and spice therefore it can be concluded that quality is good. We ordered ker sangri dal and rotis. It was more than enough for two people. Just on request if the management can install ceiling or side wall fans in reception area. Cooler seems good but side wall fans would make it confortable.

Lovely heritage property, welcome drink on arrival and very helpful staff. Large rooms, not much do in and around Bikaner but definitely recommended for a long weekend stay. Hotel has a pool and basic amenities, garden and swing for kids. Lot of photography from the royal family on display. Museum is well worth a visit on palace grounds. Junagarh fort is also a must see. Hotel Restaurant is decent (not too many options around to eat), lovely chandeliers and prompt service by attentive staff.

It is an architectural gem that reflects the grandeur of Indian royalty. Built in the Indo-Saracenic style, it boasts intricate latticework, stunning courtyards, and a remarkable museum. The palace, now a heritage hotel, offers guests a chance to experience regal hospitality amid historical splendor.

I booked this hotel last minute and was blown away on arrival. What a fantastic find - historical building, good food, very attentive staff, quiet but central. We felt we were actually staying in a palace that youโ€™d normally be visiting as a tourist. Loved it and would happily stay again.

This property has great heritage history but it is so poorly maintained we felt bad about it. 1) It is located outside of the city and difficult to reach city centre unless you have your own vehicle. 2) No Hot water in washroom in middle of December month 3) No WIFI facility inside your room and not enough power points 4) Breakfast was very basic with below average with very limited options. I was really disappointed by quality of service and will never recommend anyone to stay here.

The property is beautiful and exudes royalty. We were helped by Rajinder Singh Ji, very helpful and polite person- made our stay extra special. The suite room was spacious and worth living. Took one star away for breakfast- it needs improvement.

Wow Property. Large rooms, high ceilings, good air conditioning. Service is with smile. Pricing is fine. Bar is small but no complaints.

The palace itself is a piece of history and you stay in the history of the palace . The grandeur and the royal living - experience the antiques and the high ceiling giant rooms - each one with a different mood and charm . Sprawling lawns , a museum and the landscaped garden will keep you engaged throughout the day . The only set back is the food which needs to improve in many folds . Services otherwise was good and yes we had a memorable one

Stayed here for a night, after staying in Laxmi Niwas for a couple of nights. They are both part of the same property compound. The rooms were much larger and better maintained, and a welcome change from my room at laxmi niwas. The service was good and so was the food.

We loved this hotel. It's a beautiful old palace and still feels like one. The room was huge with a separate dressing room. The only thing we didn't like is there is only wifi in the lobby. However the lobby is huge with lots of lovely hallways and sitting areas.

Residential Luxurious Hotel with cultural and heritage vibes. We had Dinner which was amazing. Prices are somewhat high, but worth it. Recommended.

The price we have paid is for the palace and not for the room. Rooms are not five star level. Service was good and staffs are courteous. Breakfast does not have any variety and it was bad. Giving 3 star, because we get to experience the lawn of the hotel which was mind-blowing.

Gives u a feeling of royalty, u can walk around on the lawns or the cool vernadahs and courtyard and take pics. Staff was very polite and attentive. We enjoyed an upgrade to a massive room full of very well maintained vintage furniture. Lighting in the room could be better. And there is no WiFi in rooms (maybe due to the thick walls). You get WiFi only at the reception. Food options are limited but restaurant services were good. Funny part was even residents need to pay for tickets to the museum which is inside the palace.

Location is awesome but restaurant service is very poor only 2 waiter handling whole restuarant that's make super delay in services, food taste is average, interior is not good as expected from the name of palace , so at last I must not recommend this to anyone.

Good hotel. Good rooms. Heritage property, so it's different from your regular Radisson or Hyatt. Room service, buffet & A-la carte are available.

Watchman - Rajpal spoke to us in an utter rubish way where he had no sense of talking to us. He kept saying that we should stick to watching the meseum and not visit the restaurant for eating. He literally made us feel like we are not worthy of Visting the place and it spoilt our entire enthusiasm of having our lunch here. Looked like they only showcase their " Fake" Humbleness to the in- house guests and not otherwise. Mr. Mahaveer however was kind enough to communicate to us in a better tone. For outsiders, I would not suggest this place at. all.

Lalgarh Palace is beautiful. And the staff is very hospitable. Food is amazing. Special shout out to Mr. Dalip Singh from the restaurant team for being so polite, nice and helpful with everything. He has been with the palace for more than 35 years. Felt so grateful for visiting this place.

Want to experience Royalty in Bikaner and with a budget, then let's stay in Kings Mansion ! Yes Lalgarh palace is truly heritage property built under reign of HH Ganga Singh Ji and designed by British Architect Sir Samuel Jacob. It will take you flashbacks of bygone era and you will find history in every nook and corner of this palace. My idea is not go with any expectations and just explore the property and you will love it. There is inhouse museum which I couldnt explore due to timing constraints. Staff was hospitable and make you feel at home. Breakfast spread 2ws not huge however had good options. I had poha upma and omelette and all tasted well and fresh. Get your ginger tea on specific instructions and you will love it.Hence worth a visit for your time and attention. PS: if trust can change on the mattresses with firmer mattresses it will be icing on cake as people who prefer softer mattress may find it hard to adjust on the harder ones as it's a matter of sleep preference and it would add to the sleep quality of the guests.

Amazing heritage hotel with a royal vibe. Suite rooms are spacious and beautiful. The musium in the hotel premises is worth visiting. One must stay in this hotel to enjoy that royal vibe. Several stuffed wild animals hunted by the maharajas are on display in the hotel. Overall a highly recommended place to stay.
