I stayed at Vinayak Guest House for more than a week. The name maintains its meaning, by showing "Atithi Devo Bhava". Usually in other hotels we may experience professional or unprofessional behaviour of the staff. But here you'd only experience a family like treatment. This place is more than a hotel or a guest house. It is like a home. Suraj is always available to assist in every way. Jitu sir who manages the place is very friendly and knowledgeable. He is also a doctrate in wildlife, and has plenty of knowledge related to the city, it's flora-fauna and even History. He suggested me too many good places worth visiting. Because of him I visited my research site. He even took me to a camel farm, where for the time in my life, I had a camel ride. I am really grateful to him. His father, a humble experienced man is very welcoming and generous to whom anyone would love to talk. Being a researcher I was enriched by talking to him and listening to his experiences. He has seen the city developing from sands to riches, and its amazing knowing about the changes emerged in the life and happenings in Bikaner. The rooms are neat and clean, with new bedrolls, and ensure proper ventilation. Washroom is also hygenic. There is a common fridge in the courtyard, from where both normal and packaged water is placed. We can also use the fridge to keep coldrinks or chocolates. You can also have home cooked fresh food here on nominal charges. The place is nearby most popular site in Bikaner, that is Junagarh. You can reach there in 10 min walk. City bus station, railway station and all other government offices are nearby in a 3 to 5 km radius. Overall this place is wonderful, worth staying with a lovely family with good people.

Vinayak guest house is a centrally located homestay run by birder guide Mr Jitu Solanki. It is behind the Junagarh fort. The rooms are clean with attached lat-bath. There is 24*7 provision for hot water in the bathroom. The food is cooked in the home kitchen and you will have a homely feeling while having that food. The birding and desert mammal safari is conducted by Jituji along with his well-mannered and well-trained subordinate Mr Gautam. We had a good time citing the various raptors, lizards, fox, jackals, and jungle 🐈. Our one day tour package included pick and drop and breakfast /lucnch/ dinner. All in all it was total bombastic trip. Now looking forward to more trips in near future.

The owner and his family are great! The rooms are nice and clean and wifi is available! They also offer food and the best thing is, that the owner is a biologist and the best guide for birdwatching and organizing desert tours you can wish for! Highly recommend this place! Just call him when you would like to stay at this place!

Wonderful place! Best place to feel safe and cared for. Like at home. Jitu and his wife are emphatic and professional hosts at the same time. Good to talk with! They know a lot about the area and if you want, Jitu can take you on bird or culture safaris. He has been doing this for more than 15 years. They support sustainable tourism and preservation of nature. People stay here longer because it is a good place – not expensive, not too luxurious, but with everything you need!

I have had the great pleasure of staying at Jitu Solanki’s Vinayak Guest House for about a month and a half, and have had a wonderful experience. Across the various rooms I’ve stayed in over several visits, all have been incredible comfortable, cozy, and have all amenities needed. Suraj, the man who cleans, does a stupendous job at leaving every room spotless and will always refill the water bottles with fresh drinking water and check in on what needs to be done. Puja, Jitu’s wife, prepares all the food — you can ask for breakfast lunch and dinner on site — and it is truly one of the tastiest Indian cookings I’ve ever had. What a joy to eat local homecooked food each day! The guest house even has a large terrace that guests can access to hang laundry, do yoga, or read a book while overlooking a quieter part of Bikaner. And best of all, Jitu is always ready to help plan excursions around the city — whether it’s bird watching, wildlife safari, a visit to the camel farm and research center, the Karni Mata Mandir in Deshnoke, or recommendations for what to do in town, he is always prepared to assist guests with making the most of their visit. Bikaner is full of natural wonder, and Jitu and his colleague Gautam were key to helping us explore it. Thank you for a marvelous stay!!

We had a wonderful two days at Puja and Jitu Guest House. It is actually a family home in which three generations received us. The rooms were clean and had all we needed, they were around a refreshing patio in which some birds live. We took the chance to eat the delicious home food cooked by Puja and to enjoy the morning safari offered by Jitu, who shared with us his doctoral knowledge of the desert and showed us a wide range of wild fauna in their habitat. We arrived on a special day, the day of the celebration of the foundation of Bikaner and the kite festival and enjoyed very much being part of the local festivities. It was a breath of fresh air to be with a family, with no need to haggle and away from the hustle and bustle of nearby cities.

We could totally recommend Vinayak Guest House. The family is really kind and helpful. They bought bus tickets for us and even dropped us off at the bus. We had some tasty home cooked meals and the rooms are simple but nice.

Me and my partner spent 12 nights at Vinayak Guesthouse in Bikaner in November-December 2022. We really enjoyed our time with the host Jitu and his wonderful family. It really is a homestay where Jitu's wife prepares your breakfast (really good!) and you see his father and sons at the place (father likes to chat and the sons love playing basketball :-) ). Rooms are simple but quiet and the common area is inviting with lots of greenery. There is also a roof terrace. The Guesthose is located in a not so touristy area, but close to Junagarh Fort and of course there are shops nearby. Restaurants are also to be found in the wider area. Last but not least: Jitu is very knowledgeable about the city, its culture and especially wildlife and birds. He shares his knowledge if you want and he is a very inspiring person. He offers guided nature/bird/camel safaris and runs Vinayak Desert Tours. We would/will go there again!

Vinayak could not have been a more accommodating, peaceful and friendly homestay. We were thrilled with the service of Jitendra and his family and staff - thoughtful recommendations and honest assessments of Bikaner’s sights. Jitendra set up a brilliant tuktuk tour of Bikaner’s old city, with a lovely and trusted local guide. The food was also delicious, very reasonable and all of the local/traditional elements were explained in fascinating detail. We are only sorry that we could not stay for longer. Bikaner is a must-see in Rajasthan, and if you are passing through, Vinayak is the must-stay.

We stayed there for 2 days on our journey of bird watching in various region of Rajasthan on October, 2022. Our host Dr. Jitu Solanki arranged everything for us. He is a very humble, knowledgeable, kind person. Rooms are clean, all necessary accommodation are available. Foods are one of the best in Rajasthan. Strongly recommend.

I highly recommend staying at this place as everything is close by and the stay is comfortable. The owner also organises some exceptional tours and safaris that you must try. Don't miss out on visiting the Jorbeer conservation reserve with these people. It was one of my best experiences.

Wonderful Guesthouse! Nice and clean rooms with attached bathroom and hot water as well as AC. Calm and peaceful inner yard to sit and relax, very good breakfast offer! Especially good: moskito nets on all doors and windows, free pick up from train station at any time, free cooking class, rental of cars/motorbikes/bicycles possible, laundry service possible. Many tours and activities can be organised by Jitu, the owner of the guest house. Highly recommended!!

What a fantastic place. Calm and quiet in the Hussle and bustle of the city. Hot showers, clean rooms, comfy bed, and great food. Very affordable and wonderful hosts. Jiju also took me birding to the carcass dump. Don't be fooled by the location ... It must be one of the most amazing sights I've seen. Thousands of vultures and eagles. An amazing experience!

It was a great experience in Vinayak guest house, a homestay with peaceful and friendly environment with Dr. solanki, the host and his family. They were very hospitable, helpful and generous. The rooms were very neat, spacious and were just as comfortable as home. Meals were prompt and hearty made. Besides, Dr. Jitu solanki is an enthusiast birder, having fair knowledge about the sanctuary and the birds. Being a local, he knows all the best places in and out the sanctuary. He is passionate wildlife lover as he went above and beyond his efforts to take us to the places where we could see birds of our interest. I would highly recommend vinayak guest house all those who are planning to Tal Chhapar Sanctuaryand Bikaner

Vinayak Guest House is a wonderful place. The owner is friendly, sincere and very helpful. The rooms are clean, cosy and provide hot water showers. It has a nice restaurant which is both downstairs and at the rooftop. The served food is excellent. Jitu, the owner of the place, also organizes several well managed tours in the desert (birdwatching, reptile spotting, camel safaris, cultural trips and more). I highly recommend this place to everyone going to Bikaner!

Rooms were comfortable. Hosts are nice people and the food was also tasty, home cooked. The only problem was with the beddings as we found the blankets to be not very clean. But as we were staying for just one night this wasn't much of a problem for us. I guess for someone staying for longer period this could be a major issue.
