Good quality over price . Nice beer selection

Probably my favorite "beer" bar in Bilbao with 12 taps and a solid variety with a style for any type of beer drinker. The staff is generally knowledgeable and always up to discuss the latest brews they offer with small tasters available before you decide on your pint. Have only had a few menu items for food although I've heard good things and there is ample seating both downstairs and upstairs. From what I understand the owner is the same as another local favorite, Singular, so the selection is always solid, the lines are always clean and the crowd is generally pretty hip and "into" real beer beyond the local lagers. Last I was there an American cook was running their kitchen, including experimenting with smoked meats in a climate of conservative Basque palates. His creations were a great blend of American BBQ meets Basque pintxos. Further, the crowd there is young, experimental and amazingly friendly if you can get through that hard Northern Spain veneer that is skeptical of outsiders. Their staff have some of the more diverse palates for beer and they know their craft!

Our experience started with a slightly disappointing step, I ordered a BA imperial stout, was supposed to be a pint, got what you see in the photo. However after speaking with the manager, she was kind enough to put it up a couple more fingers. The nachos were real good, and the guacamole was mind-blowing compared to most of the ones I have tried. It was a few of us so we ordered the big one of meat and the veggies one. Really varied, quality was good, and amount was perfect in measure.

Busiest place in the world but exciting and interesting

Apart from the delicious meals that are served, they play well known classic rock songs! The waiters are very kind, even if you do not speak spanish they try their best to understand you. Defenitley one of the best restaurants in Bilbao!
