Small authentic restaurant. Super delicious, the lunch menu with 3 courses for 19 euros! An absolute insider tip in the center of Bilbao.

Took a bit of finding but well worth the search. Food superb, service excellent, lovely dining room. One of the very few places who serve a "proper" chocolate coulant.

Lunch in Bilbao The upstairs dining room in this restaurant in Bilbao's old town was was fully booked by locals at lunch time on Tuesday so we had to sit downstairs in the bar area. The €14.50 menu del dia was really fantastic with lots of great options to choose from (eight primero platos, nine segundo platos and eight postres) and also included a bottle of wine or a bottle of water. We loved the busy atmosphere in the bar and we really enjoyed our lunch.

Luckily got a table without a reservation, but I'd definitely make one in the future. Good selection, food and service. All those people of TripAdvisor were right.

Food was ok but bit of a tourist tip off cant believe charged 10euros for OJ and scrambled eggs and two small pieces of bread(see photo). First they got the wrong order then when they finally got what I ordered, it was very very disappointed lacked any flavour and bread stale. Wondering if these reviews are all fake...

Amazing restaurant gem in the streets of Bilbao city center, I need to say that it was one of my favourites in Bilbao center. I went twice with my family to have lunch. They only served lunch no dinner. Set a menu of 19€ per 3 courses, good quality food and big portions, the waitresses are really friendly. Suggest to book before. A mix between locals and tourists, I would definitely come back again!

We took the day menu. It was nicely served, delicious, plentiful, and included local foods. The desert tartita de queso was especially nice. It came with a bottle of red wine with a reasonable taste.

Another good find in Bilbao Old City ... for lunch they had a €16 three course meal with some good selections...the mushroom risotto was yummy, along with the shrimp on skewers for a first course...the medallions were interesting and the fish was good...but what blew me away was the Tiramisu...WOW! I would go back here just to get this fabulous dessert.

Fantastic local restaurant, felt very authentic with great food, very helpful service, and 3 courses and a bottle of wine + coffee for €17. Definitely siesta time afterwards 😃

Busy bar in the old town square, great place for trying lots of pintxos and wine.

Unfortunately, the quality of the menu has decrease and its price has lately increase. Dangerous bind, IMO, for a "traditional/local" restaurant. The weekend menu for 30 euros is not worth of the details we experienced from the service and rank of the product, even if the choice was evidently wide. Desserts were the best part of the whole tasting. Cool point for a cafeteria, but not enough for a "restaurant". Upper dining room is not easily accessible and bar zone is narrowly disposed. Disappointing. Easy to find better options nowadays within the old town.

Had an excellent lunch here. Three courses for €19 from quite a decent-length menu which seems to change daily. Great old-school staff and a mix of locals of tourists.

Delicioso! Thank you for the good service. The entrée was as generous as the plat. Everything was delicious. Many choices to choose from. The crew were welcoming and polite. The place is clean. Will visit again.

Very nice service!! The menu a bit expensive and the dessert not good at all.

For breakfast: potato tortilla with blood sausage / mushrooms. A ham sandwich with vegetables.

Reservations are highly recommend. You'd be lucky to find an available table at lunch time if you just walk in. We saw locals willingly waiting for more than 30 minutes for lunch, but it's well worth the wait. The lunch menu is just under 16 Euros, and it included wine and desserts.

Family-run place, proper Bilbao old town style. Amazing food for such a cheap menu. And so friendly staff! Im vegetarian and I had options, and my family ate beans con sacramentos (that means with everything: morcilla, chorizo, tocino), steaks, fish dishes...we couldnt finish the desserts! So full. Highly recommended!

From outside it looks like a very local cafe, it's a tardis inside. We sat outside for lunch, 15 euros for a three course lunch and glass of wine. I had the prawns and flat fish. Yum! Location is great as well. Only about 4 tables outside but this is normal for this type of place, loads of tables inside. Enjoy

Family-run with genuine service and affordable quality. Such a cute family, passionate about what they do. Apart from that the food makes you happy, you’ll leave with this warm feeling, just as if you’d been visiting a good friend. Look forward to going back!

Nice, honest place. Looks authentic inside. Waiters are friendly and tried to be helpful although English was a bit of a problem for them. We tried the 3 course daily menu and it was delicious and good value for money. The desserts were a bit average.

👍👍 We stumbled upon this place, which is odd, because my husband is such a foodie and usually knows about every hot place. After getting off the funicular, we wandered into we saw this beautiful spot. Inside, we started researching it on our phone and saw the rave reviews--including one from Anthony...
