The Udaletxeko Zubia bridge connects both banks of the Ria del Nervien O de Bilbao river. Many tourists admire the beauty of the city from this bridge not only during the day but also in the evening and at night. There are many attractions of this amazingly beautiful and original city nearby.

The town hall bridge has a beautiful view of the river and the city, and on one of the bridge towers is a ceramic hand commemorating Women's Day by the artist @aintzaneibar which became a symbol of the city. If you are in Bilbao you have to visit it and touch it to attract good luck and travel a lot.

(Translated by Google) The Town Hall Bridge is a drawbridge located in the Biscayan city of Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain), which spans the Bilbao estuary by linking the Abando district with the land belonging to the extinct Begoña parish church, current districts 2, 3 and 4 from the town of Bilbao. At the end of the 1920s, the need to unite the new expanding areas of the city, required the construction of various bridges over the Nervión estuary. One of them was the Begoña Bridge, currently known as the Town Hall Bridge, which would serve to link the new city center with the town hall and with the road that led up to the recently annexed Begoña neighborhood. The river traffic, essential for the port works that were being carried out at that time in the estuary, forced these bridges to be designed in such a way as to allow the passage of ships. The solution that was adopted was that of drawbridges in the image and resemblance to those existing in the city of Chicago (USA). As mayor of the town, Federico Moyúa entrusted the municipal architect Ricardo de Bastida (1879-1953) with the solution he found when he attended the Eucharistic Congress in Chicago in 1926 and got to know the cantilever-type mobile bridges with tilting arms in that city. The one on Michigan Avenue was chosen, the work of engineers Bennett, Pihlfeldt and Young, built in 1920. Engineers Ignacio de Rotaeche and José Ortiz de Artiñano were commissioned to build two of these bridges that are still standing although they are no longer open. One of them is the Town Hall bridge.
