I've been here about three times. It is a beautiful theatre inside and out, but it does not have a friendly layout.

Beautiful building and surroundings is this Basque old town where the Spanish and Basque combat and mingle in a struggle to establish a dominance ..

The guided tour in English is well worth the admission of 6 euros. Very Regal and full of history, similar but a bit smaller than Royal Albert Hall, London. Also the theatre has a lift with access to all floors for the less mobile.

Plenty of shade and seating on the steps in the evening. Great to see family and friends meet up. Train station across the road and the river runs beside the building.

I went to go see Sister Act here a couple months ago. I sat in the very top section, but I still was able to see and hear very clearly. The whole building is gorgeous on the outside and the inside!

It's located in a central area in old town/old quarters. I met friends here often. It's built in Neo-baroque style in 1890, the same architect that built the city hall. The exterior was beautiful. It was originally an opera house. It's used for theater and performances currently. Bilbao has numerous old structures that are modernized. The new construction is in the style of the older buildings.

Went to the premier of new Ballet entitled Lost Letters, totally absorbing and magical performance. Great use of multi media for storytelling. Beautiful theatre worth visiting on its own but take in a performance if you can. Staff were very helpful.

Located near metro Casco Viejo, theatre is a common meeting place for both local people and foreigners.
