Great rooms very large modern and artistic space. A few minutes from central Bilbao on the Ria and close to the Guggenheim. Artsy and high end with great views. Lots of amenities and everything you would need. The staff are exceptional and breakfasts were delicious. We highly recommend d this hotel.

We were extremely pleased with the hotel. The location is excellent, just a few meters from the Guggenheim Museum and the city’s main attractions. The rooms are comfortable and functional, including a Nespresso coffee maker. The side river views are also appreciated. The water pressure in the shower is good. We used the parking, which, despite the extra cost of €20 due to the area was convenient. One highlight was the reception’s excellent service; they provided us with insightful dining recommendations, always with a willingness to help and a smile. I also highly recommend the breakfast; it’s a very comprehensive buffet. The only area with room for improvement is the fitness center. It’s very new, but it lacks essential equipment, focusing only on cardio machines.

Very central location. Spacious family room. Grateful for air conditioning in 40 degree heat. Bathroom had 2 sinks. Room a little tired, for e.g. the glass was slightly chipped at the top of the bathroom door, the integrated hairdryer working well but very marked from previous falls. Shower head wouldn’t sit properly and silver covering becoming detached. Also when sofa bed extended couldn’t open fridge door. Did not experience breakfast due to early flight but ground floor bar was not open as late as advertised.

Clean, polite and very helpful staff and great breakfast! We had great time there and the location is amazing. You can reach all the interesting point just by walking.

A really nice hotel with a beautiful view over the river if you have a room at the front side. It is located within 15 minute walking distances to both the old and new city. This all makes the location perfect if you want to be close to everything. The personnel was friendly and the breakfast was good. The only tips for the hotel I have are minor: the carpet in our room had a few small stains from cleaning, but that didn't bother us. The hallway on the floors are quite hot, which I suggest gets lowered a few degrees. Nonetheless a very pleasant place to stay at and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in Bilbao.

We had an excellent stay at the Hesperia Hotel. We had a problem with our booked room when we arrived but Miriam at reception solved the issue immediately. Miriam was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back to stay again at the Hesperia Hotel. Big thank you to Miriam for her great service and assistance.

Hotel is located very nicely, close to the Guggenheim museum and pretty much walking distance to everything. Room was spacious and bed was big and really comfy. Big bathroom. Room has a coffee machine and a fridge. Staff is nice. Small breakfast is included (just coffee, tea, juice and packaged mini croissant and mini cupcakes). Parking in the paid and expensive, but you can park for free outside during night and weekend.

great hotel…could not be better placed for everything in bilbao… very well run by a team of super smiley super helpful people who can’t do enough to make your stay comfortable… thank you everybody. :)) try for a room with a river view…well worth the extra…

Very good quality and comfortable hotel in a good location on the river embankment in Bilbao. The modern Zubizuri footbridge over the river is a very short distance away, and the Guggenheim museum is in easy walking distance. Our spacious superior room had an enclosed balcony with a lovely view of the river, and a large, good quality bed. Breakfasts are very good as well, and from the large bar area there are picture windows with views across to the embankment. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

Great location! Being next to a bridge saves much walking to and from everyone in the city. It is definitely worth asking for a river view room. The staff is really professional and they will get out of their way to make you feel good.

Absolutely fantastic We visited Bilbao as a couple traveling with a 8 month baby and a small dog so our choices of hotels are immediately reduced. On arrival we were checked in by a friendly fast and efficient reception. When getting to the room we found a beautiful and comfy dog bed, treats, filled water bowl and food bowl so doggie was over the moon. Also a lovely cot with a brand new teddy bear for the baby. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and haven’t received compliments and service like this ever before. Room and hotel in general was very clean Staff were all great and we were even allowed to take our dog in a separate dining area at breakfasts,. All in all the most dog friendly hotel i have stayed in yet. Located across the river from the Guggenheim and a 5 min walk from buzzing old town. There is no where else i would stay in Bilbao after my experience there they deserve at least 5 stars

This hotel is in a great location, within short walking distance of many attractions. The street is quiet and the riverfront practically invites you to walk. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Ángel in particular provided good recommendations on places to eat and meander about. The breakfast offerings could have been fuller, but the dining room staff was friendly and helpful. I would say it’s a 4.8.

This hotel is very well located for the old town, the new town, the Guggenheim and nice strolls along the river. The staff were very attentive, competent and friendly, going out of their way to help us. The breakfast was comprehensive and good. Coffee needs some improvement. The bed was extremely comfortable - excellent mattresses. The room was clean and the complementary mini-bar was filled up each day, the coffee capsules were replaced each day. All in all, I would stay here again and would recommend it to other travellers.

Okay, it isn't the worst hotel ever. Nevertheless, if you cannot sleep at a hotel, it's just not worth the money: The hotel is located in Campo de volantín street, which is an extremely busy and noisy street. I wasn't very concerned about that at first though, because the hotel says their rooms are soundproof. Well, this isn't true at all!! Even in the rooms looking to the side street, you totally heard the noise! Apart from that, the air conditioning wasn't working, the window handle was broken, the boiler was broke too. I complained at the reception desk. They politely said they would take care of it. They didn't.

Very central and at the same time peaceful hotel . Spacious room and spacious bathroom. Coffee making facilities and Nespresso machine in room. Walking distance to Guggenheim museum and old city . Free cappuccino at the spacious lobby . Very good choice.

Overall the hotel is good, the location is top, it’s clean and staff is friendly. But the rooms are a little bit old .. it deserves few renovations and it would be a very great hotel. In the room: Ceiling is marked, the bathroom mirror is a little bit damaged, finitions are not 4*, there is absolutely no decorations (paintings, plants, etc) in the room so it feels empty and cold, the glass doors are not practical, lamps look tired. It is not big works to do but it would make this hotel almost perfect.

Hotel rooms size varies from room to room, but they are quite small. I stayed in the hotel a couple of times and sometimes the room was barely big enough to open a standard sized suitcase. But the decor of the room and the beds that are super comfortable make it a pleasure to stay there. Breakfast is quite basic but the staff is friendly

Very nice and cozy hotel right at the River and the Guggenheim Museum. The room is nice, they have bath and bathrobes. The hotel is not far away from the old town. We loved the buffet breakfast.

Even though it's a nice hotel, there were a couple of things missing. For instance, it was hard to regulate the heat (too warm). Therefore the window had to be open, but the street is quite noisy. Also when we took a show, the water kept changing from warm to cold (incosistent without touching it). Still pretty good and a good location.

After lockdown this hotel has been a welcome relief. Great staff, especially Maria in reception. Good local knowledge and helpful. The hotel has only just opened again but it was so good to relax and enjoy time in Bilbao.

Good breakfast and good location, but that's it. Otherwise run down and dark superior rooms. Dirty walls and windows. No shower. No kettle. No fridge. Barely a 4 star hotel. A big disappointment.

Friendly staff but definitely overpriced. Pros: location. Cons: blocked bathroom sink, window soundproofing not that good, AC control not working/disabled.
