Wonderful hotel. Beautiful interior and clean, roomy comfortable room. Stayed three nights and would definitely return. Grateful to the warm and welcoming staff.

My husband and I were greeted warmly by the staff at Hotel Tayko Bilbao. The concierge, Sarai was so helpful. She gave us a quick orientation of the city of Bilbao. Also called the front desk of Gran Domine Bilbao Hotel to store our luggage while we visited the Guggenheim Bilbao and had lunch later at Gran Domine Cafe the next day. The other front desk staff brought our luggage to our room. So helpful and friendly. The hotel is in the own town. The facade is original while the interior was renovated in an industrial chic style and keeping part of the original walls. Our River view room was spacious, stylishly decorated. Bathroom was nice with rain shower head. There’s a Michelin Star restaurant in the hotel. We did not go. Had breakfast at the hotel cafe which was fresh with friendly staff. Too bad we only had one night at this hotel and Bilbao. Definitely will come back.

What a wonderful hotel with friendly and care taking staff, great breakfast and wonderful rooms. Only the windows could be a bit closer to cover the outside activities. It is not loud but I’m a light sleeper. Ask for a room to the back if you are too ;-)

Had an excellent stay here. The room had a bit of a quirky layout and you have to watch your head if you’re tall in a couple areas but there was lots of room and everything was spotless. The staff was wonderful!

Amazing stay, amazing staff. Very good location. Really felt welcome from the first second. Definitely great value for money and it doesn't hurt it has two great restaurants inside the same building (Ola Michelin and Ola Bodega, the 'normal' restaurant on the ground floor).

one of the best urban hotels I've ever been. Two to choose rooms with round beds. The hotel is rebuilt within an historical building, in a manner that you can still see parts of the former construction. The personnel is lovely, Mussa, Saray, Unai.... all very kind and pros Restaurant with Martin Berasategui menus... Chromecast is available so that you can broadcast your content (Netflix, apple TV . . .) on the flat screen They are opening another Tayko in Seville.... counting down to visit it 😍😃

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The location. In the Casco Viejo (Old Town). A great choice of bars & restaurants literally on the doorstep. All of Bilbao’s sights are within easy walking (or tram) distance from the hotel. The hotel. A real mix of old & new. Industrial, brick & above all comfort. The rooms are spacious and the beds really comfortable. L’Occitane toiletries smell amazing! The rooms are very quiet. The staff on reception are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel bar is a meeting place for locals and hotel guests alike. Great atmosphere. 100% recommend a stay here.

Great hotel in a central location near the old town. The interior architecture is exciting. The concept with breakfast and the two restaurants in house is excellent. But what we liked best was the great service. We felt very welcome. We can recommend the Tayko and will be happy to come back when we are in Bilbao.

We loved our stay. The staff is all super nice and welcoming, the best we encountered. The hotel is a old building with a industrial style in the inside, very stylish and cool. The cleaning was superb. Has not your typical hotel but has a menu with several options of coffee, tea, fruit, pastry and main dish, is so much better!!! The dishes are very tasty. When we arrived we had a personal welcome message in Portuguese, it was a special touch. From all the staff we want to mention a special thanks to Ana, she was working in the eating area (also a restaurant “la bodega de ola”), she was spectacular!!! The cleaning was superb.

Cleverly adapted hotel from previous building. Very modern interpretation including exposed old bricks and concrete pillars. Lovely room ,again modern decor but very comfortable. Quiet room lovely big bed. Fantastic breakfast with unusual choices. All served at the table. Great bar with amazing cocktails.

Great location, amazing service and really good food. We had an extended few room on the fourth floor, which was really nice. the only minor improvement could be fans in the bathrooms since the shower steam and set off fire alarm. Highly recommend anyone staying in Bilbao

Overall, we had a good experience at the hotel. The quality of the furniture in our room seemed a bit low, but we didn't encounter any issues. The standout, however, was the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. They made us feel as if we'd known them for a lifetime!

Great location on the outskirts of old town. The rooms are all designed well and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and made a big fuss of our dog. We only stayed on night but wish it could have been longer!

Beautiful cozy boutique hotel - great service, friendly staff throughout the premises including the restaurant, and very well maintained property. The rooms near the elevator can be a bit noisy when people are talking right outside your room, but that’s a small complaint in an otherwise outstanding stay. Loved having a nightcap drink at the bar before heading upstairs. Rooms were comfortable, bathroom spacious and shower has great water pressure. Very comfortable bed too! Would definitely recommend!

Very modern and new hotel in the middle of the old town! The design of the hotel is great, and you can see that they have a great eye for detail. The staff is very friendly and speaks English fluently. The patri gastrobar is also very nice with big portions, however the waiter did not speak any English.

Outstanding service! Beautiful renovation of the old building with respect to the history. Atmosphere and design in perfect harmony. Simply great! It is strategically situated at the river in the old part of the city. Private (paid) parking is available.

Best hotel in my 2 weeks in Spain. Hotel is all new, and it looks like it. It’s sparkling clean and they serve a good breakfast for 20€. I was very impressed with their head of reception, Ainara. She was most helpful and very unspanishly efficient. Don’t bring a car like I did, it will just cost you parking fees and of course whatever you have to pay the car agency- you’ll never use it in Bilbao.

Great hotel, location and staff. When we left at 5.00am we got offered coffee, while waiting outside to leave the hotel; very 'warm' welcoming and friendly staff.

Super chic hotel with a great sense of design. Rooms are comfortable and tasteful. I loved taking the elevators every time, and being able to look at the exposed beams, walls, skylights, and antique windows through the glass-walled elevator shaft. Rooms are on the smaller side, but that's expected being in the city center in Europe. However, we didn't feel the need of any more space. Especially since the bathroom is actually sufficiently spacious. The location is fantastic. Being able to walk to lots of excellent pintxo bars and restaurants. Bilbao is small enough that pretty much anywhere is walkable. The Patri restaurant at the hotel is excellent as well and appears to be very popular among the locals. Service was great. We felt very welcome and well taken care of. Highly recommend.

Very stylish and outstanding interior design and architecture! The breakfast comes as very special and unique selection of food... Every single dish is very special and worth tasting... But the ultimate goal is the extremely friendly and charming team at the reception and the very helpful young lady at the breakfast service team, speaking fluently German and English... Really everybody from the whole hotel team is amazing helpful and charming, we will definitely come back!

Go ahead and just book this hotel. I've only stayed in this hotel in Bilbao but it's the best overall hotel I've had travelling across Europe for the last two months. Great location between old town and new town, everything (great restaurants, old and new tourist sites) is within easy walking distance. Beautifully done modernization of an old building, so even though it's in old town the facilities are modern. Rooms are well apointed, the bed in particular noticeably comfortable. We've not even reached the best part of the hotel, the staff were wonderful. Proactively helpful and welcoming. (SwissAir lost my luggage and were frustratingly unhelpful, though I didn't get my luggage the manager of the hotel went above and beyond to try to help me.) I would stay again and recommend to anybody visiting Bilbao. Now stop searching and just book!

Excellent Hotel at a super location. The decor of the hotel makes a big atmosphire difference, compare to other hotels at the vecinity. Room spacious and clean , the bed is comfy and the shower is rebust. The hotel reception staff is very friendly and attendive. we would like to thank Sari from the reception who has vast knowledge about good eateries and places to have a nice drink - she is a real staff asset and always with a smile ! bottom line - if you want to treat your self - highly recommendend.

Rooms were a great size, neighborhood was perfect during the Aste Nagusia festival, and staff was incredibly polite and accommodating. Had the best meal at the bodega downstairs as well - don't skip it!
