Brilliant little hotel in the centre of the old Town, great for exploring the old Town and surrounding area, lots of restaurants and pintxos bars within walking distance, hotel is basic but very clean and the staff are very helpful, would recommend this hotel, maybe a kettle and fridge would have been nice, but that is personal preference and would not stop me returning in the future.

Incredibly rude personnel! We went in and asked about a reservation, to which we were greeted with the man at the front desk cursing at us and storming around the place. The place appears half-abandoned as well. We’re happy we didn’t stay here!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights recently. Location wise this hotel is perfect, nicely placed in the old town of Bilbao surrounded by lovely restaurants, bars, cafés, and shops. But the hotel its self was a bit a let down, although the staff were nice. Our room wasn't perfect, very dusty vents on the aircon, and the bathroom ceiling has seen better days. The worst part was being given a room with two single beds, when I asked to change rooms we were told that we needed to request a double bed when we booked. This wasn't made clear anywhere on Booking.com.

Great price and I enjoyed the location. Staff is friendly and efficient. The room was incredibly clean and I was allowed early check-in, since the room was already free and clean. I enjoy the hard mattress. Since the room faced the inner courtyard, there was no external noise, just internal noise due to little sound proof, but that's mostly because of uncivilized guests, rather than the hotel's fault.

Clean room. Good location in the old town. No vanity mirror. No mini bar in the room. Effective AC, albeit slightly noisy. Walls on the thinner side/some noise audible from other rooms. Friendly/helpful staff. No duvets, only blankets.

Fantastic location in the old town with so much around. Room was basic and clean enough (although vents were dusty and bathroom was a bit dilapidated). My husband and I were given a room with 2 single beds, and told we were supposed to request a double bed on booking, which we couldn't see anywhere in the booking emails from them so that was fairly annoying, and they wouldn't move us. Otherwise the staff were friendly and helpful. We personally wouldn't stay again but it is good price and good location.

Great location, service, clean and comfortable

Attic room slightly low sloping ceiling, but nothing too bad. Hotel had arranged parking other nearby hotel for 12 euros for the day (good), but parking was hard to find & tricky to get in & out of. Glad we had a small hire car. Clean, modern, great location right in the centre of the old town. We wandered round the area to the excellent covered market, then walked along the river to the Gugenheim. This took about an hour with plenty of meandering detours, stops at playpark, good quality free toilets etc. Very impressed with Bilbou & Gugenheim was wonderful. Took tram back to hotel, very pleased with the experience.

Had to cancel due to Covid, no refund. Not even a partial. Nothing. $200 down the drain.

This hotel is functional yet clean, comfortable and great value for money. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the old town with plenty of amenities and shopping. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

The room was comfortable and clean although there was a lingering odour of unwashed guest to start off with. Unfortunately, a noisy party of guests clumped in at 1:45 a.m. and made a huge racket and then continued to stomp about and talk loudly for ages afterwards. They were selfish but there did not seem to be any interest by the hotel staff in asking then to be quiet either - not a very restful stay and no soundproofing worth its name!

Staff are really pleasant and helpful. Advise you to take the option of having the breakfast. Although the choice is basic, it's nice enough and cheaper than a breakfast somewhere else locally. Rooms are clean and adequate and beds are comfortable. 2 supermarkets close by and not expensive.

Cracking little hotel, only rated as a 2 star but it was really lovely. We stayed here on a 2 night break with our family, staff were friendly, hotel was very secure which was reassuring, excellent central location in the old town, very reasonably priced and spotlessly clean throughout. Rooms were spacious and beds were really comfy. Could have done with a kettle in the room but that's only personal preference, not a necessity as there are bars, cafes and restaurants all a stones throw away. There is a vending machine in Reception where you can purchase drinks though if you need to. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a central base and would definitely stay here again.
