Magnificent! Warm welcome, friendly and helpful staff. Delicious freshly cooked meals with a good choice on the menu. Comfortable rooms with scenic views of the hills and valleys. The added bonus was the dog and goose. Very entertaining animals, friendly pets. A most enjoyable stay. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. 😊

Great location in the mountains but only minutes from bilbao. Very good dinner.. Hake , grilled prawns , calamari. Nice bar too. We had a big family room great fun. very clean. We had no spanish and our hosts no english and we managed fine. It is a bit tricky to find. Go to Alonsotegi and then look for signs for Ordaola which is about 3km up a winding road

Beautiful location even in heavy mist. Accommodation was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Hosts only speak Spanish but were so helpful and kind. They loved their dogs as did my grandchildren. Food was very good and freshly made and prices were excellent value. Very off the beaten track with an unbelievable single lane track winding up the mountain for quite a while. Loved every minute

It was in October 2012 that I stayed here for one night prior to moving back to the UK. I loved staying here. The owners spoke no English but this was not a problem for me as I spoke Spanish. The owners were very friendly and they also called on me to act as translator when some English people arrived who did not speak any Spanish. The setting is very beautiful but the only downside (for me) was the fact it was up a steep mountain road with a steep drop off to the side, and I was a little afraid. However, it will not stop me going again, at least I now know what to expect on the road up to the alojamiento rural. Muchisimas gracias y espero que puedo volver algun dia.

You have to visit here! 5km uphill via a single track, unfenced, unlit road, but rarely any thing to meet. The quirkiest of hotels with an absolutely charming owner who never stops working. The rooms are "rustic" but charming with amazing views into the mountains. Excellent and amazing value food offerings, breakfast lunch and dinner, good wine and beer plus juices etc. Worth a little bit of effort for somewhere you will never forget!! We loved it.

Firstly I would like to say that the location and surrounding scenery is great, the hotel is also nice and quirky. The host wasn't very friendly or accommodating but the two waitresses were. There isn't a price list available, the food was very average and I would not recommend eating here. Our room was musty and it it took ages to get to sleep, the bedding could all do with being replaced as it was old and cheap polyester. We have stayed in cheaper accommodation with excellent service and rooms. I think this place could be great with a little more attention to it's customers.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area, the road to it is steep but ok if you are careful. You have to ask how much things cost as there is no menu. The food was OK. Our room was musty and the bedding was tired. We did not find it hospitable and would not return.

Agroturismo Ordaola is a total gem! 15 minutes from Bilbao ferry terminal and the City itself, this pet friendly hotel/restaurant is not to be missed. Located in a stunning setting, it provides all the amenities that ferry travelers, hikers and nature lovers are looking for. The food is also out of this world. Do not miss the opportunity to dine there! The owner is lovely, very helpful and will make you feel at home. It was a superbe find at one of the most reasonable price available, especially if you book directly. We will not miss an opportunity to go back.

Best accommodation for this price in the whole Basque Country. Quiet place, little rooms and amazing views. The owner and staff it's quite great and polite. They came to pick me up without needing to do it . The food is great, every plate was worth it

A very tranquil, beautiful hotel in the mountains yet close to Bilbao. The road up to the hotel was a bit scary for me the first evening in the dark , but my partner loved the challenge and the destination is most definitely worth it! During the day the road is fine, and you do also get used to it. The view from our room was just amazing with the mist rising up from the valley in the morning. The people running the hotel are very lovely and helpful. We stayed there for seven nights whilst exploring the surrounding area and loved it. The food was also very good.
