It was quite an experience (in a positive way!). The restaurant shares a building with Tayko hotel in the old town. The interior is very industrial looking: a lot of concrete and metal. We ordered the “tasting menu” with wine pairing: 16 dishes including deserts. I like the majority of it, some dishes I’d skip, but overall the journey was pleasant. The service is excepcional, the stuff is nice, I enjoyed all the details provided by the sommelier about wine we tried. Time has flown by very fast. We liked our dinner at Ola a lot :)

Absolutely fabulous and the server was amazing. She made this experience extremely wonderful. Everything we tried was absolutely amazing... from the caviar to the artichoke truffles etc... It was all worth it.

I had a horrible experience at Ola Martin Berasategui restaurant in Bilbao. I have dietary restrictions and at the time of booking I put all the specifications as requested. The restaurant couldn't give a solution or even warn that it wouldn't be able to feed my needs, my parents and I had to leave without eating after 45 minutes of waiting. In addition to the bad service. It is unacceptable that Mr. Martin Berasategui with so many Michelin stars can't find a solution to an issue like this. I was at Arzak restaurant 2 days before and Chef Elena Arzak prepared great solutions for my dinner.

Everything was amazing from the very beginning. Staff made a great impression on us. The food was spectacular, I really believe they deserve the second Michelin Star.

Excellent service, nice decor, spacious tables. Unfortunately gastronomy rather sad, bland, lacking in flavour, somewhat pretentious. A great pity because the whole environment promises better. I wanted to like it...but did not live up to expectations.

Amazing experience. Beautiful food and not too fussy!

In general terms was Ok, but to be honest below expectations, I can say that the only dish, considered outstanding was a started ( milhojas con foe and Anguila ahumada ). If you ask me if I will return, don’t think so.

The food! The food was amazing! We got the 12 course tasting menus with the wine pairing.. no other way to go. And the wine tasting that accompanied the meal was spectacular!

Best tasting menu I’ve had in years. Get a bottle of the 2011 Castillo Ygay for the reasonable price of 270 Euros to go with and enjoy life. It’s later than you think…

We had a wonderful experience, very nice staff. The food and assorted drinks came very fast but after we mentioned it, the tempo was more chill. The food and drinks were obviously great. No surprises for the bill. Would come again. Thank you!

Best meal in Bilbao. Food deserves two Michelin stars, in our opinion. Allow 2.5 hours for the short menu. Mostly seafood in the 7 or 8 appetizer dishes and then meat for main. The appetizers are particularly creative and tasty.

Amazing experience, food was one of a kind! Each course kept surprising us, we did not want it to end. The guy who was responsible for our service, Yiannis, was the best! He Explained to us each course in detail, and made us feel really well taken care of! Congrats to the whole team

The service, food and drink here was amazing. This was a bucket list item checked off for me and it was spectacular. We felt taken care of from the moment we entered. The staff took great care to explain in great detail everything we ate and drank. We where very satisfied at the end of the meal.

It started slowly. Location is great, avenues are impressive. But once seated we waited 15 minutes before I dare to ask for a glass of wine. Usually in Michelin star restaurant, sommellier offers people to have a drink for aperitive. After that they, as usual, tell you it is maybe too late to order the longest menu. Why do you offer it anyway? I booked for 21:15, which is early in Spain. After that, meals started to come and they were for most of them awesome. They were complex full of flavors and beautiful. I had to serve myself from the bottle several time. Usually in the Michelin star restaurant sommellier takes care of serving the wine and offers insights and recommandations. Overall a fine experience but the service could be improved. Waiters were not always fluent in English so maybe offer a written introduction to meals on the side, more detailed than the menu? People expectations for a Michelin star restaurant are really high, for both the quality of the meals and the service.

Spacious and industrial-style upper class restaurant offering delicious food served by friendly, informed staff. Fairly expensive, but well worth the money.

Rushed service, 6 courses in less then 90 min. First it was not possible to change one course, then I had to pay extra but when I asked how much the extra would be, it was fine. The menu itself is good however the maincourse (duck with mushroom and truffle) was heavy and to much. One lady couldn't speak English which is strange in a hotelrestaurant. Stylish interior with very bright light above the tables. Ordinary friandises, no amuses at all.

Sergice could be slightly improved. Speed mostly.

Wow. We have been to a lot of Michelin star restaurants but this blew us away. The 11 course fish based tasting menu was so elegant, exciting, and incredibly tasty. The fried squid dish - The essence of the Basque region in a bite. Still dream of the crunchy oyster, the flavorful veggies, exquisitly spiced monkfish… and the wine pairing was a feast as well. Do make sure you stay in the hotel so you can roll right to your room afterwards. Compliments to chef and staff!

This amazing restaurant inside the hotel Tayko is a true gem. Unassuming, unpretentious, perched up on a second-floor, the amazing service starts at the door. A very knowledgeable sommelier provides an endless array of options to complement the beautiful and delctable spectacle of superb creations in the tasting menu. Hands-down, one of the best places, from service to food, a true winner. ¡Felicitaciones!

Fabulous food and great service

Surprisingly amazing. When we thought we couldn't be surprised, the dishes, the friendliness of both cooking chefs and staff but also the flavors and the overall quality of the experience! A must live!
