I am not trying to be harsh but simply share my recent experience as genuinely as possible. Its not a big deal but someone mentioned that access to the restaurant is not well indicated and it's true. Overall my disappointment came from 3 aspects : blandness of 3 dishes out of 5 (I could provide a detailed report but that would be too long) / misleading description of those 3 dishes (for instance 3 tiny cockles in total, hence a lack of sea flavours, very very few favs beans in another dish with a potatoe base that was not announced...) / simplistic stuffy dessert. I am giving 2 stars for the charming dining room, for the dishes that were good and the gentle service

Delicious!!! We sat in the terrace - spacious and great view! We took the Elexalde menu (5 course): good choice , and reasonably priced. It was a friend's bday, they also offered a delicious cake for her. They were really nice to allow a 3 years old and small puppy to join us (considering some Michelin star restaurants in certain countries can be very strict). Good food, good service, good views, good ambience, good company, good weather! We really enjoyed our visit to Andra Mari. Thank you Andra Mari!

Exquisite experience ! the staffs paid a lot of attention to the diners. in my company we have people with different dietary requirements (gluten/lactose intolerance/vegetarian) and the staffs never fail to fulfill each and every of our requirements. two thumbs up! not forgetting the awesome 'vistas' that the restaurant has!

Stunning food served by the friendliest staff in the universe. The interior comes along a bit old school… though impeccably well kept and clean and certainly not dusty. I had mesmerizing cod as a main dish and (forgive me for not resisting) probably the best steak tartare I‘ve had in my whole life… and I‘ve had some. If you are even remotely close to this spot, definitely go. We had lunch here and it was a fantastic experience.

Very nice view from restaurant to mountains. Service not a Michelin star standard. Very slowly and waiters not speak English, that very difficult to understand. Very good wine list with good choices. We take menu La carte. For first course I ordered beef tartar for 24€ and got raw meet with spittle. (You can see picture). This is very disgusting. Main course is order sirloin beef - it was delicious. For dessert I can recommend pear pie - very good. Average restaurants, far away from city center and pricey, not worth to visit, you can found many other Michelin restaurants at Bilbao for same prices but really better

Absolutely stunning 12-course “Andra Mari” lunch tasting menu. Authentic and pure Basque ingredients and recipes elevated with contemporary fine dining technique. One of the very best value meals I’ve ever had, and a Top 5 at any price point. The Scallops with pork dewlap and carrots is a Top 5 dish for sure. Must add that service was perfection. They confirmed ahead as I had requested to bring my dog with us on the terrace. I had to delay our reservation on short notice and they accommodated us to ensure we could experience the full tasting menu. They kindly split one tasting menu between our teenage kids. Table side, the local ladies in traditional Basque dress offer such warm attending service like you were visiting grandma’s house. Overall it’s worth a drive from Bilbao, San Sebastián or even Madrid. A 10/10 experience.
