A Great Tribute to event which motivated people of India in a movement with many goals - Freedom from opressing tax on salt (1400%), non-violent voice, gender equality, human rights, education and much more. Core team of 80 select had walked from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi Saifee Villa to break the opressing tax law of salt, while many joined accross the way of 241 miles, this movement became a significant national movement. The place really helps in connecting to the History. Well thought and worth visiting for all Younger generation.

Beautiful and love the lake😍 Very neat and clean, only ₹ 10/- entry fees for adults. Loved the way the entire Salt satyagraha is depicted through the carvings. Very well explained. The artists have done amazing job in creating the individuals of Salt Satyagraha. Also loved the paintings in another room of museum. And was amazed to see how it is depicted in a needle hole 🤩. Also one area covers many Solar Panels.

It's around 10 KM from Navsari town in Gujarat. Along with a beautiful beach, a very large museum is being developed here recently. The museum is very big showcasing the entire event of Dandi March taken by Gandhji and others. One can spent a half day here as museum is open till 7:30 PM. Best time to reach is afternoon. The place will make the memories of Dandi March alive and bring a feel of patriotism.

It's a nice place to visit for knowledge of salt Satyagraha at dandi Kuch. It was a nice place to visit at the dandi museum. There is a solar park and whole history of dandi kuch from Ahmedabad to dandi. Mahatma Gandhi started the 24-day march from his Sabarmati Ashram to the coastal town of Dandi to produce salt from the sea and defy the salt law. This is known as the Dandi March or the Salt March. This is an important event in India's struggle for independence,

The "National Salt Satyagraha Memorial" or "Dandi Memorial" located in Dandi, Gujarat, India, is designed as an experiential journey that recreates the spirit and energy of Mahatma Gandhi's 1930 Dandi March. Visitors are guided step-by-step through the monument to help them envision and comprehend the history of the famous Dandi March and the Satyagraha approach, which ultimately resulted in gaining India's independence from British colonial rule. History: There have been many liberation movements around the world, but none quite like the Dandi March. In 1930, Mahatma Gandhi made the decision to oppose the British Government's stance on the salt tax. Mahatma took the high road of non-cooperation. He started a 390-kilometer trip from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi with the assistance of 80 marchers. Thousands of people came to show their appreciation along the path. He imparted to them the virtues of truth and non-violence. By taking a pinch of salt when they finally arrived in Dandi, they rocked the British Empire and sent a message for India's independence that reverberated throughout the world.

Wonderful place to be. Around 30 km from Highway. Very well maintained. It would take around 60 to 90 minutes to visit this. Plenty of parking. You have to purchase ticket from there only. Very clean washroom, Shah restaurant also available. There are around 30+ mural which shows the complete journey of Dandi March. And the real life statue of all 80 people who were on Dandi March. I have been twice there now. The audio video presentation is good. Drinking water available free. I couldn't see the lighting but have heard that it is good, illuminated through green solar energy You can give Dandi Beach a miss. Nothing much, parking 50 INR.

Though this is the historical place created with the blessings of our PM, the lighting over and around the Gandhiji statue was very poor. On inquiry with the security staff, I could gather that electrician who had to attend the faults, not doing his work sincerely. Some refreshments facilities also should be available around museum.

Dandi Museum. A museum constructed on International level. It has an entry fees (nominal). The entire episode is depicted in the form of 3D models. The models are made from 5 metals and is displayed on granite rough stone. Beautifully explaining each scene. There are Solar trees which energises the entire area with Solar power. The 80 followers of Mahatma Gandhi are also depicted in model as per the same human dimensions. The artist who has portrayed are displayed against each person. A biggest achievement of the artist is if you see minutely the 3D image of an episode, none of the people in the scenes are duplicated. Visitors can make their own salt with a fixture which heats the sea water and when water evaporates salt remains in the plate. Axman made pond is created with fountains installed at the periphery of the pond. Beautifully crafted and constructed with displays. It has a restroom, drinking water facility. An auditorium place is provided where the entire Salt Act is filmed. The entire place is well maintained, well explained and kept clean. If at all you are near Dandi do visit this Museum especially your children must visit this and obtain the knowledge of our age old history. The depicted 3D model will make them remember the entire episode very well. A beautifully crafted in needle hole by a Goldsmith is displayed which can be admired through a Microscope which is kept for display. It's a Master piece. The idols are in colour.
