Detoured through Worcester just so we could stop by and it was well worth it. Went for some rolls and the big seafood platter. All of the food was great, and the staff were kind and helpful (they even gave us a bonus Rangoon just so we could try it). Prices super reasonable. Will definitely be back next time we pass through

Holy mother of all that is fried seafood. My husband and I stopped on our way back home from our annual stay in Maine back in July. My husband had this place started on his maps and list of places to go and things to eat. We decided to order the Fisherman’s platter which contained everything and felt like a good sampler to see what’s what. We also ordered an egg roll (Note: the egg rolls are not vegetarian nor pescatarian) We were greeted by a wonderfully friendly and cheery gentleman who helped us make our ordering decision including the type of breading he felt best (original is the way to go!) We grabbed a picnic table out front and luckily we were sitting down when our platter was delivered as it was a sight to behold and an amount of food that would take anyone’s breath away. The food was OUTSTANDING and the service was WONDERFUL. Egg roll Lady and Fish Shack has been added to our travel agenda as a staple/must go to whenever we drive through Worcester again in the future. Thank you thank you thank you! PS: we felt like we hardly made a dent in the food but it was perfect to bring home for po’boys once we arrived home.

Great place. Friendly people and reasonable prices. Compare this to my terrible experience with West Boylston seafood.

Worth the wait! We ordered by phone on a Friday night and while they said it would be ready in 20/25 it was actually more like 40. With that caveat - on a busy night - it was definitely worth the wait. Clam chowder was goodly mix of potatoes and clams in a tasty light broth (unlike some starchy broths you can wallpaper with). Eggroll lady platter was so chock-a-block full they had to tape the box shut! The order of clamstrips fried in a light batter was àlso overflowing. Why have we never been here before? But we will definitely be back!

Super impressed. The portions are so big they have to tape the containers. I got the whole belly clams (super clean small bellies) and my boyfriend got the egg roll platter. Crispy. Exactly what you want for fried seafood. And they gave me two extra shrimp! Thank you

TLDR: If you are within 50 miles of this place, JUST GO. First, the people here are incredible and super nice. We drove from Boston to try and called our order ahead. They took our order but told us to call when we are 10 minutes away so it would be fresh. When we got there to pick up our order they had some chicken fingers, fried and 2 crab Rangoon for us just because, "you drove an hour to get here you must be hungry." Second, all if the food was incredible. The chicken tenders were tender and juicy. The scallops were melt-in-your-mouth good. The fish fry was perfection and the tartar sauce was just incredible. Last, the prices here are so good and you really feel welcome when you're here. Even tho it was busy they were friendly and welcoming to everyone who came in. This restaurant is putting good out into the world. Please give them a try

The eggroll and wonton did nothing for us BUT the seafood was outstanding. Probably the best fried scallops I've ever had. The seafood platter was large and a great value with lots of everything including clams which many places skimp on.

This mom and pop family shop is *the* best fish and chips in the city (and for miles around). They make their own tartar sauce and kimchi with yummy family recipes! They also have two types of breading for the fried 🍤 goodies. They off a variety of seafood 🍢 🐠 🐟 to fry and of course onion 🧅 rings. Don't expect to get your order earlier because you called ahead. These folks (for better or worse) are old school and will not start your order until you pay in person. They will however take your order and reserve your spot when you arrive with a buzzer so you can wait in the car. The atmosphere is lacking because it's a shack...but the food is too good to pass. This is one of the top take out spots in the greater area. *** Also if you go to the local bar next door, they will bring it in there to you. Now that's customer service. I recommend it!

Just stop reading this and go here...NOW. This place was glorious. The food, the price, the freshness, it's all here. I heard about rave reviews, but didn't have a chance to visit this place until now. Be warned: The portions are HUGE. I got the Shack Seafood Platter (which can easily feed 4 people), the Boneless Chicken Tender Plate (it can feed 2 people), and 5 eggrolls. I had leftovers that lasted for days, and the price is VERY reasonable. The staff is very nice and very personable. Just know that there are only 3 parking spaces available and only 2 tables inside, so I would recommend getting takeout. Highly recommended!

It's ok. They were out of clam chowder when I went. The egg rolls are different than you might expect but taste good. The crab rangoons are more like crab and cream cheese empanadas. That combo isn't doing either rangoons or empanadas any favors. Fish and chips was good. Overall it's ok for a fish shake. Will try again.

Can't tell you how many times I have passed this in my life. Read it was highly rated and figured I would take the suspense away. Ordered the 5 pack. Wow 8 bucks equals 5 egg roll and 1 crab Rangoon. I was just gonna eat 1 or 2 but couldn't stop until all was abolished!! Hours are funky, but worth planning for!!

Exceeded all of my very high expectations, This place is incredible. Thanks for the most delicious most scruptious tastiest meal I ever had ‼️ ❤️

I ordered the fish and chips. Haddock was dry and chewy which means it's not fresh. I think it was leftover from previous week because remember they close for 4 days so they have to freeze what they don't sell. If I go back it'll be just for chicken or egg rolls

PLUS size, tasty eggrolls. Thumbs up from wife on crab rangoon. Two thumbs up from mother-in-law on seafood platter. Bone-in wings consisted of balanced flavor with a slightly spicy aftertaste. Owner and cook graciously brought food out to car. Experience worth traveling for!

I come here a few times a year since they first opened. Owners of the place are the most friendly people you will ever meet. Food is amazingly addictive. Best eggrolls in Mass hands-down.

Absolutely delicious! Great fried fish, excellent variety in the options for different tastes (light fry, tempura fry, etc)... The fish sandwich and the egg rolls are the go to!

Lovely people. Great service and amazing food. Drove 45 miles for it. Best Egg rolls I have ever had. And I cook Asian food. I can tell fresh. Try the Tempura Shrimp dipped in fish sauce... (If you are not allergic).

The best fish and chips in the area. Crispy battered haddock, delicious fries that are not heavy, and delicious coleslaw makes it a weekly visit. 😋
