There were only 2 girls serving food and the bar which made service slow. That is managements fault for being greedy as the girls worked very hard and were pleasant. The food was adequate but over priced for such basic easy to prepare items. I will not be going back.

First time trying this place as I've been meaning to go for a while. The restaurant itself is really cosy and has welcoming and helpful staff. Food was tasty, good quality and large portions, but quite pricey, which is understandable considering the current climate. I probably would of returned in the future it it wasn't for the 10% optional service charge. We didn't even realise this was automatically added to the bill until we left the restaurant, and weren't even made aware of it when paying. Regardless, I don't agree with adding tips to the bill automatically, that should be at the customers discretion if they want to leave a tip and would only make you feel awkward if you wanted to refuse to pay it I recall the same thing happening at the Prickly Pear as well when out with friends, who are the same owners, so unfortunately won't be visiting either of them again, which is a shame as the food is actually nice. But it's difficult affording to eat out at the moment with the rising costs being charged for meals, without adding extra on top and the customer not even being made aware of it!

Service is friendly, but food is cooked fresh so please be patient. It is worth the wait! The food was so good. I had the deluxe mini parmo platter. Each parmo has distinctly different with their own unique blend of flavours. All were delicious. The chips are perfect! I ordered garlic dip to go with my parnos but really didn't need it. It is expensive, but worth every penny!

We went last night to celebrate a family birthday. The food, as always, was fabulous. We couldn't fault it in any way. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were a couple of minor mistakes with drinks but these were quickly rectified so not a problem, these things happen. Thanks to all who contributed to a brilliant night

Highly recommend The Ship Inn at Redmarshall aka The Parmo Pub Has to be one of my fav places now. We got a parmo platter (inferno platter), chilli sesame chicken strips and vegetable gyoza. Every single bit of the meal was spot on, amazing flavours, perfect textures, high quality ingredients, perfect chips, lovely coleslaw and big portions Service was great and very professional. Interiors were comfortable and beautiful, you could spend whole days here Plenty of parking and set in some nice villages Highly recommend

The food was very good and filling, service was a bit slow for drinks and clearing the table of empty items. The staff are lovely and friendly. The pub its self has a warm inviting feel and is clean and well set out.

Great Parmo. Great to see the place back to its best after all the lockdowns. Bit pricey but one of the best Parmo’s you can get.

Lunch visit the menu is the same all the time. We had the prawn cocktail starter and shared chips. It was delicious and well presented. But oh my goodness the price, 8.50 for a starter, 18.00 for scampi and chips. I know we're all struggling but that's just too much for me.

1st time there and the parmos are delicious! Huge selection to choose from on the menu? We shared a platter of 5 small different parmos, with a portion of thick cut homemade chips and salad! £22 and paid an extra £2 for garlic mayonnaise and red cabbage coleslaw! So £12 each, not bad at all? Plenty for two sharing? Nice couple of pints of sanmigeul,friendly, efficient staff and fast service 👍all good,definitely be back😁

Great selection of Parmo’s!! Korean BBQ Beef topped parmo was absolutely amazing. I opted for a large, a standard would already have been enough! Reasonably priced for the quality, nice staff and dog friendly, definitely worth a visit

Wow, what a huge selection of parmos. I couldn't decide so I went for the 'inferno platter', a selection of 5 spicy parmos. My wife had the 'stinky pete', which had slices of steak and blue cheese dressing. I can't wait to visit again and try more of the delicious parmos. If you like parmos, you won't he disappointed!

Arrived 15 minutes early, no problem being seated. It was quite when we arrived at 13:15, but picked up throughout the afternoon. Bathrooms were nicely decorated, but the hand dryer was not working and nothing to dry your hands on. The waitress was friendly. The Garlic mushrooms starter was beautiful, the prawn cocktail, although nice did not have enough of the sauce. The children's sausage and chips was plentiful and delicious. The sunday lunch was spectacular, we could not clear our plates however as they were big portions, needed to leave room for dessert. Ordered a cheescake, kids ice cream and rainbow cake and custard. The cheesecake was nice and smooth, the ice cream nice but I was disappointed with the rainbow cake, it was servered warm and was nice but they had no custard and served it with ice cream. We will be returning to try their famous parmo menu.

We’ve been eating at the Ship now for over 3 years and have never had a bad experience, food and service is always impeccable. On Saturday 8 of us went for a family meal. Even though it was really busy we all got our meals quickly. The food as always was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. So pleased we chose The Ship for a special family get together, everyone loved it and had a great night and can’t wait to go back. Definitely our favourite.

Booked a table on the site really easy. Was seated instantly no issues there. Service was really slow through the full experience always needing to flag someone down to get a fresh drink or desert menu only time the service was fast when I asked for the bill unfortunately but over the food made up for the poor service. Food was amazing best food I have ate in the Teeside area since moved here. 9/10 highly recommended

Festive parmo was great and my friend got a normal. We were hungry so we went large but to be honest medium size would have been enough. Great service, clean inviting inside.
