On our weekly brunch excursions we chose this place.I had grits eggs and fish( the Lakeview i believe) and the wife had Liver and grits. Now im not a fan of liver at all, but that gravy that was on her grits made me wanna gice it another try after all these years.Everything was seasoned to perfection. There was hot sauce on the table but it wasnt even needed. My fish was deep fried and my cheese grits were on point.Creamy as ever. Even the sweet tea was delicious. I think somebody Grandma must be in the kitchen doing her damn thing... We definitely will be back cuz theres a few more things on the menu i wanna try..

Brunch at this hidden gem was one of the most authentic and friendliest restaurant experiences I've had! We brunched on the patio on a quiet Friday morning and the hostess was incredibly kind and welcoming, not to mention the food was amazing! My partner and I shared a combination of the catfish fillet, eggs and grits and the french toast, which was exactly what we needed on a NOLA brunch outing! Highly recommend!

Visited Cafe Porche on a Saturday morning. There is plenty of free street parking and it is close to the Muses apartments. One enters through a gate and the snowball stand is in the front of the property and the entry to the cafe is in the back. There was not a lot of seating but it was just the two of us. We ordered the Lakeview morning and the Carol B fried grits with shrimp. It was rollin'! The cream sauce was so good. Our server was not so attentive but I think that she was just a substitute for the actual server that was helping out in the snowball area. The new server was more of a people person. An older lady came to our table and thanked us for our patience even though the wait was not that long. If you know me, you know I had to order a wedding cake snowball to-go! They put condensed milk on top. The ice was crunchy but the juice was good. Overall, I would return.

We visited this establishment today on our second day in New Orleans. The owner Coronella greeted us before opening time and was very welcoming. She allowed us to sit on the patio and order our food early before opening time. We ordered the Good Morning Darling and the French toast at the owner’s recommendation. The waitress didn’t take long at all to bring out the food. Everything was extremely delicious especially the French Toast!! I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone in New Orleans. I really appreciated the owner’s hospitality.

They might run out of gumbo, but I don't think you'd be disappointed with anything they serve. I loved the shrimp & grits and liver & onion. Don't expect your food to be slapped on a plate and brought to you within 5 minutes of ordering, they make everything fresh and to order.

This establishment NEVER disappoints! The owner and her staff are so accommodating, so professional and feel so familiar (like family). It's like talking to your wise Aunt, or grandma, depending on your age. The food is filled with New Orleans flavors, marinated, seasoned, not salty, but seasoned! Nothing is watered down to suit those with lesser developed taste buds. Everything is made fresh to order and substituting like items aren't an issue. Adding a-la-carte is also allowed with no hassle. Expect to spend about what you'd spend at IHOP per person, but be ready to receive a much better, quality, experience with much better tasting food and drinks! If you choose to go elsewhere, stop, slap yourself, apologize to your tongue and gut, and then head over to this Cafe! You're welcome!

I love to support local businesses. I came here after a Google search. I was not disappointed. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and warm. The server (Mark) was outstanding and he really takes pride in his work. Other members of the staff also inquired how my experience was. Let's get to it...the food. The food is INCREDIBLE! I chose shrimp and grits, and it's the best I've had in New Orleans so far. The gumbo was fantastic as well. I will return to try the rest of their menu. Do not miss visiting this great place. Flew in to NOLA for the first time ever with my friend. Searched for best breakfast near the AirBnB we will be staying at, and Cafe Porche & Snowbar came up first, with the highlighted reviews mentioning the best French toast ever. This place will not disappoint! The service is exceptional and you feel truly welcomed and accommodated. We both ordered The Good Morning Sweetness breakfast platter. Thick, fluffy sweet French toast topped with powdered sugar, fresh juicy strawberries, a sweet and lovely banana sliced, and blueberries. While my friend went for her side of bacon, I just had to go for the smoked sausage. The coffee came out piping hot as well. Everything was sensational and delicious. But it was the service from Mark, while my friend was in the restroom, our server brought out extra napkins to cover the food, and a lid for the coffee to keep it warm. Along with good conversation, Mark told us of the trolly down the street and points of interests. For our first time in New Orleans, and our first official restaurant experience, the bar has been set very high. If you are in the area, I highly suggest that you stop by and enjoy one of the best breakfast spots in the country.

Me and my friend are from Australia and stumbled upon this place. The owners and staff were the nicest and most warm people we’d come across on our vacation in the US. The coffee was great and we had our first grits which were amazing. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Bless up 🙏🏼

I can not explain how much I LOVE Cafe Porche! When I say delicious, accommodating, and consistent that is the very least. I came with a group of 9 and with one cook she was able to adapt and deliver with such a classy vibe. I felt she was able to deal with the energy with the dynamic of us and still treat us with love and respect. Very great under pressure and the food made me come back three days in a row. I’m writing this review while waiting on my Shrimp and Grits, scrambled eggs, and a biscuit! Couldn’t be more happier❣️

Stopped in while we were in town because of the reviews.mqn were they right. This place is amazing, it's tough to see from the street but don't give up. Best french toast I've ever had ever! We ate on the patio with our dogs. The service was some of the best I've ever had. They really get the little stuff right too, like for example the coffee was so fantastic. 10/10 would recommend.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The food was perfect. My catfish was fried to perfection, and the grits were creamy. The service goes above and beyond to make sure you’re enjoying your experience. Whenever I think about southern hospitality, this place will be the first thing that comes to mind!

Coronella opened this restaurant six years ago. We had the pleasure of meeting her, she is such a kind and generous soul. She looked after our every need, including insisting on giving me a plastic bag to keep my bag dry in the rain. I mentioned I was walking to the street car and she wouldn’t let me! She insisted on driving me to the stop so I wouldn’t have to walk in the rain. Truly incredible kindness that should never be expected of anyone, but was so appreciated! Our food was of course incredible! I got the fried grits with shrimp. Flavorful shrimp and great sauce on the grits. My coworker loved their pork chops with gravy.

This was a treasure to find! Friendly and attentive staff and the food was super. I had the veggie omelet and added shrimp which had a great NOLA savory seasoning and my husband had a perfectly crusted catfish. I want to go back! Lovely women at the helm in a welcoming atmosphere!

This was a wonderful dining experience from the atmosphere, the service and most importantly, the food. Our server was so kind and so helpful. When we left, she thanked us for letting them cook for us. The food was amazing! Given the locale (tucked away amongst some residences), I felt like I had been invited to a friends house whose parent just told me to have a seat. It was comfortable, comforting, and delicious. Will definitely go back the next time I am in town.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. Trust the reviews! French toast was tremendously delicious! When you walk into the building the ambiance was one of heavenly grace. The owner of the restaurant is extremely Hands-on with the servers as well as the guests with out being a micro-manager so to say. To aura is truly a compliment to the city! Love love love this place!

Went there for breakfast and had some of the best french toast I ever had in my life with perfectly cooked thick bacon. 😍 Literally melts in your mouth. I love places that have succinct menus and just know how to focus on less dishes. Service was amazing, super fast and everyone was very friendly and attentive. Beautiful space that has a nice warm welcoming ambiance. Perfect for a nice date or to go with a group of friends. Too bad I live in Montreal but I will definitely come back here next time I am in New Orleans. Thank you for the great food and wishing you great business.

Excellent and authentic food. Warm attentive service. Family Owned. Great Catfish, excellent coffee and sweet tea that made me like sweet tea. Oh and their smothered Shrimp and Grits was gluten free - miracle! My friends and I ate here twice in 2 days while on vacation. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Love Cafe Porche & Snowbar!

Loved the atmosphere. The twins were so hospitable and it’s a very intimate and lovely experience. The French toast was to die for. Perfect balance of sweet and savory. Their other food options had so much flavor and I actually got my 3 year old to eat his entire plate. The house mimosas were good too. 10/10. Will definitely be recommending to friends and coming back again.

I discovered this place on Google maps and it didn’t disappoint. Visited today while exploring New Orleans, ordered the Smothered Shrimp and Grits, with a side of cheesy scrambled eggs. It was great😋. The owner was even nice enough to give me restaurants suggestions while in town. Thanks again!!!
