    Aaron and the boys at PTU are all so friendly and welcoming - it's hard not to want to train here 24/7! They have the newest equipment, are up to date with all the latest health and fitness trends and are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to exercise and nutrition. Aaron developed a plan that was 100% right for me and I really saw a huge different by following his guidance on nutrition and his workouts which always kept me on my toes and pushed me to my limits!

    Having trained on and off for years in various gyms I can confidently say that the results I've gained through working with Aaron at PT:U far surpass anything I've done before. As a facility it's excellently equipped, no elaborate and ultimately ineffective machinery just real, tried and tested methods of getting to exactly where you want to be with your physique. Aaron's guidance has been extremely attentive to my exact needs and his honest, no b.s approach is what lead me to dropping a stone and a half in body fat and increased strength on the big lifts. You won't find a better place to train.

    This is a great place to train. Aaron really looks after you during a training session and sets the pace of the training just right. A contemporary gym with excellent equipment and trainers you got to give it a try.

    Fantastic set of knowledgeable trainers and the best kit in the local area, including safety squat bars (essential for me given a shoulder injury), a prowler track and much more besides! Highly recommend to anyone thinking of incorporating personal training into their lives, good value for money to if you block book sessions in advance.

    I have been training with PTU for many years. The gym atmosphere is brilliant and personal trainers are excellent and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of training and nutrition. They have helped me to achieve weight loss and well as keep weight off throughout my pregnancy. Thank you.

    PT:U is friendly and welcoming. There are a wide range of people all with different goals, it feels inclusive and positive whatever your level. I feel a lot more confident to use weights and equipment at a gym now. The exercises are selected for what suits you and your goals, as well as the things you enjoy. I like doing some boxing/pad work and Rich fits this into my programme which is great!

    As someone who had not done any gym, formal or informal exercise for a (very) long time, I had built up a level of anxiety about exercise, gyms, interacting with a PT and probably a whole host of other related things. I wasn't happy with how I looked and the task of sorting myself out felt too big to start. I am 9 months into working out at PT:U now and I couldn't be happier or more comfortable in the environment that Rich and the team create. It is completely unintimidating, supportive and respectful of a huge range of starting points. Everyone is on a journey. I love training with Rich specifically, he's never pushed me down a certain path. We've gone over my personal objectives from basically not knowing what I want to do except move more, right through to a power lifting program that we're working on now. I literally never would have considered myself to be a prospective power lifter, but through Rich's deep expertise and guidance we've just focused in on the things I enjoy the most, and that's the whole reason why this is sustainable for me. Although Rich is never pushy, he's absolutely helped me with other things like diet, how to stay active at home and between sessions. Probably the best thing about training though is that it's ignited a competitive spark in me. I find myself more focused at work, more effective when I put my mind to a task, and I'm acting in general with much less inertia. I would wholeheartedly recommend PT:U to anyone who isn't exactly where they'd like to be, physically or emotionally, and if you can get a session with Rich then that recommendation goes double (although all the PTs are awesome as well!).

    I’ve found Rich to be a kind and welcoming PT who pushes me when I need it. His sessions are thought out and well put together. The gym as a whole is nice and modern, it’s clean and doesn’t smell, which if you’ve been to an hand of gyms, you know isn’t always the case. Overall I would highly recommend training at PT:U

    Great gym with quality equipment. I've only been training with Rich for a few months, but I've already gone from not having much of a clue about anything gym/fitness related to feeling comfortable and confident with multiple routines that he has set up for me. Highly recommend this place!

    I've been attending PTU for personal training sessions and it's been an outstanding experience from day one! The atmosphere here is fantastic, providing a perfect blend of motivation and comfort that keeps me excited about my workouts. Rich is incredible and have played a pivotal role in helping me achieve my personal fitness goals. They tailor the training sessions to my specific needs, ensuring that I am challenged while also feeling supported throughout the process. Not only do I get individualised attention during my personal training sessions, but the gym's overall environment is top-notch. The facilities are well-maintained, clean, and equipped with a wide range of modern exercise equipment. It truly feels like a safe and welcoming space to work out in. This local gym has exceeded my expectations in every way, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking to reach their fitness goals.

    Training with Rich has really put me back on track with good exercise habits. Covid was tricky for everyone, for me, it encouraged bad eating habits and a more sedentary lifestyle. My weekly PT sessions have really helped get me back to where I was before and I enjoy our training sessions. I’ve built a lot of confidence in the gym and I’ve had a lot of guidance too. PT:U is a really safe place to workout and I don’t feel out of place - everyone is super friendly and supportive!

    I have trained with Richard for a number of years now. His approach is professional yet relaxed and he successfully builds a strong relationship with you to ensure your goals and training needs are met The gym is always clean and well maintained and very welcoming. I would happily recommend Richard as a first class personal trainer who gets results

    I signed up for a three month transformation course almost two years ago now and it changed my life. Lost a couple of stone, added a load of muscle, reduced body fat %age, formed a gym habit that I still have and feel so much better for it. Aaron and the team are great at understanding what you want, what you need and how to get you there. The gym itself is only for working alongside your personal trainer so you still need to be a member at another gym, but Aaron set me a program which I was able to follow on his app and he regularly reviewed and updated it. Highly recommended.

    Rich has been my personal trainer for the last 10 years. Rich has worked with me on improving my fitness and reducing my weight, through his support and coaching I have been able to achieve a 30% weight reduction and turn my fitness around to be able to enjoy sport again including running, cycling, squash and dingy sailing. The team at PT:U provide a great PT service and will support you to achieve your goals, be providing you with encouragement, plans and support need to succeed.

    Great place to workout! The people who work there are incredibly knowledgeable and really know their stuff about not only fitness, but also nutrition and diet. I’ve been going for over a year now and have had regular calls and FaceTimes with my coach to help keep me on track and ensure I am getting the most out of the plan. Having tried a few other places, I can honestly say, these guys are so much better! They are tentative, respectful and know how to make it fun! Would gladly recommend PT:U to anyone who has any fitness goals - you’ll be in good hands. The easiest review I’ll ever write!! Thanks guys!!

    Love the studio, all the very best equipment you could need. Rich and Aaron are amazing at what they do, in fact all the trainers are fab...it's become a real pleasure to visit, not just to work on my goals, but to catch up with the friendly team.

    I've been training with Nick Scott at PTU for a while now and have had my best results ever. Everyone here is welcoming and encouraging and I love going to the gym. I could not recommend Nick Scott or PTU enough!

    I’ve been training at PT:U since 2014, and what ever my goal has been I have received expert guidance and specific training. From rugby specific training, olympic weight lifting, ultra running my sessions have been planned and tailored to those needs. I have also received great nutritional support and guidance for me to continue on my weight loss journey and body transformation. In parallel to this expert knowledge is the standard of equipment. From the competition standard of Eleiko olympic weightlifting weights and bars to the latest cardio equipment in the watt bike. If you want an inviting, welcoming environment to train and get great results PT:U is for you. The great community, friendly atmosphere can accommodate the needs of a first time gym goer to top sports athletes.

    Great gym. All the trainers there are so knowledgable and make the atmosphere so welcoming you instantly feel comfortable. They have all the equipment you could need and it’s all the highest quality. Started training with Aaron with the aim of improving rugby performance, all of my programmes have been tailored specifically to my needs and when my aim change, the programme changes and works perfectly. Can’t think of a better place to go.
