Burgers were pretty good and the truffle fries were tasty. The wings were very good and fresh, they were the best part of the meal. Staff was nice and the place is clean. It’s very loud, which isn’t a negative it’s just if you like quiet places this isn’t the spot for you. Will go back again.

Went into the bar with a couple of my friends and ordered a beer, the bartender looked at my ID for one second and called it fake because there was a speck of dust on it (LOL) then I asked if someone else could check it so she got her manager who didn’t even look at it and kicked us all out! The bar was empty as well these people need to gc FAST. Edit: Nice lie I guess, there is nothing wrong with my license and there were no minors present which would have been clear to anyone who knows how to inspect an ID (not that I think anyone tried). Also no one argued which is also a lie. Please get c immediately for Christmas and do your family a favor

The tacos were awesome it would have been nice if the bar wench would have been a little more friendly three star for the service four stars for the food. Update: The shrimp tacos were even better this visit and the wait staff gave much better service. Setting outside near woodward was great! Love to watch the hot rodders!

Great place for burgers. I enjoyed everything I had here. Their wings were good as well as their fries. The burgers were my favorite part. The prices are fair and the service was good. The place is really loud though. You can barely hear the person next to you or the straight piped Mustangs on Woodward. Overall: 8.3/10

I went to this cute little bar for their brunch menu and left a satisfied customer.

Stopped in for a couple of beers. The room was pretty small and full of people, the energy felt big. Took a table seat sense the bar was full. The waitress was super cute and good at her job. I didn't order any food or even look at the kitchen menu, but I did take notice of what the table next to me was eating... And my lord it looked incredible!!!

Food was Delicious!!! We had an amazing time at brunch. The service was great too.

So, the Chalet is an eclectic and fun establishment that defies categorization. Part dive bar, part family dining option, part Birmingham socialite guilty pleasure sojourn. No frills but fast and attentive service. For the food, I have to confess I should try more. But their wings are so damn good, bar raising, that they are my go to. And, at least in my mind, they have been there forever. A testament to an unusual mixing of people all just enjoying comfort food.

Place has it. Every night they're lined up like mules to get in. Food is outstanding. Chilli is spectacular. Burgers are righteous.

I used to buy a $12 salad here on my way to work at least 3 to 5 days a week or more. Frequently they filled the container half full or made it incorrectly as I had them leave 2 items out of the salad. One day I was told by the waitress, if I was going to compliant maybe I should find somewhere else to get my dinner. You would think as a regular customer that came almost daily they would learn my order and fill your container with a little extra lettuce when I had them remove the most expensive part out (meat). You would think with businesses struggling people would treat their loyal customers better. I have not been back in almost 8 months.

I walked in with my husband this afternoon. The bartender, Megan, asked if she could mix up our usual drinks. When we were sat, Rachel, asked if she could bring us our usual brunch meals. We don’t think we frequent enough to be considered regulars but we’re ALWAYS made to feel like we are. Best service, best environment. We could not love Mt Chalet more.

We placed an order for pickup, I ordered the BBQ ribs and instead got the Asian ribs. They were delicious, so no points were lost for flavor, but it also wasn't what I ordered... Other than the food was amazing.

I am not the biggest fan of this place. But I have no complaints... I just don't like bars very much. It can get awful loud in there but I think it's their thing if you know what I mean. Staff is always hustling around. Usually very good service and strong drinks. Food is never disappointing and doesn't seem to be overpriced. If you go there watch out for J-Bawgs, he's always there it seems.

Was way too cold to eat inside, so we ate on the patio. Waitress was less than concerned about us. Served and left. Nothing wrong with the food but if there were we would have had to track her down. I get the lack of staff, tipped standard. Would have done better had she at least checked once.

Food is great! Far better than what you'd expect at a bar. More gourmet in taste & presentation. Only thing I don't like is it's very loud. Music is up high, so people have to talk even more loud to be heard over the music! Plus it's got a high ceiling which amplifies the cacophony of sound!

The experience was wonderful. Our waitress was wonderful and on top of everything. We had my 1year old nephew with us, she was amazing with interacting with him. I got there house bbq wings and they were the best wings I've ever had! The bbq sauce was the perfect amount of sweet and tangy. Definitely will recommend this place to people to go to lunch or dinner. And will be coming back again!!

This place is great! Food, drinks, and atmosphere all meet the woodward vibe. Also…Their mini beers are delicious!

Had a chicken nacho, it was quite large. I requested salsa, but I think it was on it's last day.... shouldn't have been served. The nacho itself was OK, a bit tasteless. The serve was quite efficient and friendly. I didn't complain about anything, will go back, and try something else, the menu had other interesting selections.
