This GP surgery needs a major overhaul. Everything is a nightmare from the appointment procedure to the communication. I was referred for an allergy blood test by my ENT. I asked for a call once my results had been received but never received a call. When I called in to ask for the results, the staff didn't have a clue about what had happened to my blood test! After a whole week of going back and forth I finally received a call from a member of staff informing me of the results of my blood test. The information given was not not accurate and she didn't bother explaining very much at all missing key parts of information. Its very clear the surgery is incredibly disorganised, even the communication internally and with members of the public is very fragmented.

Well where do I start, after my hernia operation I've gone down hill experiencing pains chills and othe symptoms. Been calling the Dr's for help. They do the simplest checks and say nothing wrong with you. Now Dr Asif has said if I continue calling them asking for help I will be seen as an hypochondriac. I have since found out my symptoms were due to low on iron. Enough is enough im changing GP surgeries now. Shame on you all from the receptionists to the GP,s. People wake up before its too late

attended an appointment recently.. issues with waiting outside and being late due to not being attended by reception staff despite ringing the bell. As a result the clinician refused to see me. Farzana was super helpful, managed to get me seen by a different clinician. Not always an easy ride ringing the drs, however Farzana has always been polite, is approachable and goes above and beyond too help and always shows empathy. Thank you, much appreciated.

I contact this surgery on behalf of my mum and have had issues in the past. I have recently been dealing with a member of the team who is absoulutely brilliant. She is patient kind and very professional. Also had a call from a fabulous gp who was really helpful. This surgery has really improved - good team.

This Medical centre must be the worse Iโ€™ve ever had to deal with. The reception staff speak like they have decades of experience in the medical field and are extreme rude. If I could I would move my elderly parents from this medical centre but itโ€™s not that easy to move practices. Someone needs to address their poor attitude towards patients calling in, no one calls a medical practice for a chat, some sympathy wouldnโ€™t go amiss ๐Ÿ˜ก

Brilliant medical centre ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘I went here by chance and I can honestly say that anyone I have ever dealt with from the receptionists, nurses to the Dr's, they are all soooo caring and understanding. They all try to accommodate you the best way they can. Cannot praise the Dr's enough, they don't rush you, they listen and don't make you feel a burden. ๐Ÿ’ฏ Recommend. Thank you all โ™ฅ๏ธ Tip* Always be polite to the receptionist staff, they are your first port of call and they really do want to help.๐Ÿ˜Š

I never write reviews but in this case I owed this to my community. I was with this surgery 2 years and the receptionists are very rude, not all of them but the main lady who I think is the manager. You can clearly see how the other workers are scared of her. Firstly its very difficult to get an appoinment over the phone and when you finallay do the receptionist act like GP over the phone. I took my son who was showing signs of autism, Dr Asif only met him once for the first time said to me your son looks fine to me. Has he never been trained about hidden dissabilities absolutely disgusting. I had blood test done recently and when I got my blood results they said everything is fine. I changed my surgery and and when I spoke to my new GP she told me my recent blood tests came back with defiency in my iron folic acid and vitamin D. Dr Asif is just making money all he ever says is nothing wrong with you and nods his head when you speak to him and agress with what you say just so he can move on to the next patient quickly.

It's 08.31 and the answer phone message is telling me the medical centre is closed but then goes on to say it opens at 08.00 am Went into the surgery on Friday was told to ring in Monday morning at 8am how are you meant to make an appointment if the hour you have to make it the phone is still on answer phone

It's impossible to get a straight answer on any issues. I have several ailments and they are just not interested in 1 listening to your problems. 2 if you have a blood sample taken they loose it . 3 as a diabetes suffering person in 3 years only seen a nurse .. not a doctor 4,they change medicine and don't know what there doing .5, In over 5 years of having diabetes only seen 1 foot specialist. Resulting in surgery... GO TO ANOTHER PRACTICE...your life depends on it .. Appointment booking is a disgrace... Staff just won't listen and blame you as if it's all your fault .. INCOMPETENT....

Since relocating after marriage, I was sceptical about building relationships all over again with a new GP practice. I have not been disappointed with the level of care and compassion presented by all staff at Thornbury medical centre. Through these difficult times the reception staff have been exceptional with my care. From general enquiries to my repeat prescriptions they have been absolutely fantastic, and deserve recognition and commending for their outstanding efforts and maintaining patience with complex patients like myself!! SO A HEART FELT THANK YOU!!

Legitimately the only reason why I use this GP is to get my repeat prescription. Every single month itโ€™s a hassle. I use the Well app and have done for the past 5 years with 2 different GPs and never had an issue, my meds arrived every month on time. Now Iโ€™ve moved again and am registered with TMC, every month I have to request the prescription (itโ€™s not automatic like other places) which ok is fine, but then they never approve it, so it times out after a week, so I have to order it again and wait, meaning I always have a period with no meds.

Absolutely awful practice. Iโ€™ve had issues with this surgery for a while. A few months ago my child was very poorly I got told that my child had a nappy rash and that she โ€˜mayโ€™ have a chest infection, she was given amoxicillin. I never used this on her as I had a gut feeling she didnโ€™t have this. And I was right. Now this time I had a issue in early pregnancy and I was on the phone for around 3 hours to try to get a referral from the doctor to the early pregnancy unit. The admin staff were so uncooperative and frustrating. Eventually got the scan but not without the unnecessary stress that came with it. Very unprofessional, no communication skills, absolute disgrace of a surgery. In the process of changing.

I never write reviews and have been with this surgery since birth. My family have moved to other surgeries but I stayed. The complaint I have is the amount of time getting through to them for urgent issues. They have not released my usual repeat prescription to Lloyds pharmacy and have taken ages picking up the phone. I am struggling now with health issues and the queue on phone takes half an hour going down 1 number. It's awful.

My dad is a patient here and the care he has received over the years have been outstanding by the doctor's, nurses, reception staff. We always manage to get an appointment at the surgery or home visit. The doctors always lay out a plan for his care and always involve me my input. My dad has respect for all the staff at the surgery for their hardwork and kindness.

If I could give these a zero I would. I've not been to the practice for over 20 years. I have had a really bad cist and was forced to book an appointment by my mum and wife. She called 8am and after waiting a lifetime and people putting the phone down on her for no apparent reason. Finally booked in for 3.50. Turned up at 3.30 only to be told my appointment was at 12pm. I called my wife and she was adamant that they said 3.50. I literally begged them for 5.minutes as they made the mistake but they flatly refused. No empathy whatsoever stone faces

I've always managed to get an appointment for my daughter. 2 years back I felt the doctor who saw me personally didn't take my concerns seriously however since then I haven't seen that doctor. Dr asif and Dr maryam are brilliant. Waiting time could be better but reception staff are also helpful.

I can cope with having to wait in a que for apts but when you get through its the abrupt manner in which one is spoken to BY THE RECEPTIONISTS/ADMIN team they are uncaring have no empathy for patients or even try to compromise with you. This is neglect, also they cancel your apts when you ask them not to. the one star is just for answering the phone!!!

I really can't complain, they have been brilliant with me and if I request to see a doctor, I usually always do. Reception staff is a lot better now than it used to be.

Absolutely fantastic surgeryโ€ฆ Iโ€™ve been a patient at this practice for the last 20 odd years and I felt this practice was like any other doctor surgery In Bradford, good days bad days good staff rude staff etc. My reason for my review today is I believe strongly this surgery has improved immensely in the last year. The faces are all different and the staff is very polite. I have requested to speak to the manager on 2 occasions now and I must say that the manager is very polite and prompt with returning your call unlike previously when I have requested the manager to return my call and not receive any call back. Thank you Thornbury for the hard work, thank you docs and reception staff, and most of all thank you to this manager who is very polite and well spoken
