It is one of the promising airports in eastern region. All the services are improved compared to earlier years. We expect the airport expand to the international airports and also the local government are planning and working on it. PS: There should be a proper drainage system as it gets drowned as their is continuous heavy fall.

A good airport near by India Border in Nepal. A neat and clean place as this is a domestic airport. A easy to rach place and views are great here. A totally greenery sorrounded place. Easy to checkin and Checkout place. Very fast airport services available here due to non busy place.

Biratnagar Airport in Nepal offers a basic but functional experience. The airport is small and lacks the amenities of larger international hubs. The terminal is relatively clean, and the staff are friendly, but there's limited seating and limited food options. Security procedures are standard. However, flight delays are common, and the baggage claim area can get crowded. The airport's location provides easy access to the city center. In summary, while Biratnagar Airport may not offer the luxuries of larger airports, it serves its purpose for travelers to and from this region in Nepal.

Not up to expectation, Canteen is too pricey. You can't hear announcements due to the low-quality sound system and echo.

One of the oldest airports in Nepal. Biratnagar Airport offers essential passenger services such as check-in counters, baggage handling facilities, security checks, and immigration services. The terminal building provides waiting lounges, shops, and restaurants to ensure a comfortable and convenient experience for travelers. It serves as an essential gateway to the eastern region of the country and plays a crucial role in promoting regional connectivity.

Travelling Fare of city safari from highway to airport is too expensive. They cheat us. They first say RS. 100 as fare but after arrival, they ask more saying RS. 100 per passenger. Very very unfair practice. And talking about canteen, it's expensive but good. I prefer sandwich and milk tea there.

A small and well managed domestic airport to fly all over Nepal. The cargo facility is best for the transportation of things all over Nepal. All type of facilities are available such as hotel , restaurants, cafeteria, canteen , parking areas for the vehicles with great view of green nature inside the airport area.

Biratnagar Airport commenced operations on 6 July 1958. On 15 August 2017, during the August 2017 Nepal and India floods the runway of Biratnagar Airport was flooded, along with other parts of India and Nepal, and the airport was forced to suspend its operations.. Now it is fully operational and lots of domestic flights are taking off.it serves as a regional hub for the eastern part of the country minimum of 10 flights a day takes place to kathmandu. It is also one of the busiest airport after pokhara.

Biratnagar Airport is a vital gateway, linking us to various places. The convenience of its location is clear. However, a little more attention to the terminal's amenities wouldn't hurt. The current setup feels a tad outdated and could be more traveler-friendly. My visit happened to coincide with a busy time, and the airport was buzzing. While the staff managed it well, a bit more space would be great. On a positive note, the staff was courteous, making the whole process smoother. The runway and the airfield seemed in good shape, ensuring our safety. A small letdown was the signage – a bit confusing. With improved directions, it would be easier to navigate. In the grand scheme, Biratnagar Airport gets the job done. A few upgrades could make it shine brighter and provide a more enjoyable experience for travelers.

Not an infrastructure wise updated airport. Need more improvements in terms of passenger waiting area, hangars, cafeteria pricings, physical infrastructures, and overall technological updates.

This small airport has flights run by about 6 airlines, all focussed on Kathmandu. It was chaos as flights were delayed if not due to air traffic congestion at Kathmandu, then the weather. Not bad cafeteria for waiting, serving snacks and drinks.

Biratnagar airport is the second largest and well managed airport of Nepal. As there is beautiful views from the gate of biratnagar airport. The small bushes with beautiful flowers are there alongside the road after the entry gate. There is well managed inside the waiting hall. There is also a washroom nearby the airport. And there is a place for parking for your vehicles which costs RS 5 for bicycles,RS.10 for bikes and soon

As someone who came here as a child, I notice that not much has changed in this premise compared to the past 25 years. The building is the same and looks like it needs so many repairs. The toilets are barely working, the announcement speakers are inaudible, the doors look dilapidated, and I could go on an on. Despite being one of the busiest domestic airports in the country and contributing hundreds of millions in taxes to the local and national economy, its sad to see the airport being put in such a poor state. Hopefully someday I can change this review after seeing genuine improvement here.

The temperature of Biratnagar Airport when I got there this morning was moderate courtesy of last night's heavy rainfall. Just like other major airports of Nepal, this airport too has basic facility of charging point, canteen, fan and tv for passengers.

  • 2/5 Ujjwol B. 1 year ago on Google
The waiting lobby inside the airport had limited chairs. Many passengers were seen standing on their own. Same goes with the numbers of fan. Obviously no AC! Overall, Needs improvement.

It is responsible for my safe and easy flight. Thanks to biratnagar people and government but now its time to consider multiple factors to make it a better and trusted place. Recently the infrastructure sucks, hope will improve in near future.

It's the domestic airport of the city. It's clean & improving. The canteen run by Red Mud cafe inside the airport has great service. I visited again today on 25th April 2023 and found that new construction projects are going on which might enhance the airports infrastructure .

  • 5/5 sujan k. 1 year ago on Google
Improved since last time. The waiting lounge lacks AC. Rest is okay for a regional airport. Late night flights are available to save time from overnight stay at biratnagar.

I was at this airport after 4 years, found lots of changes, sanitation and cleanliness was maintained, toilets were neat and availability of charging ports in waiting room was lifesaver on the go.

Biratnagar Airport plays a crucial role in facilitating air travel and transportation in the eastern part of Nepal. It provides convenient access to the region for tourists, business professionals, and local residents. The airport's strategic location near the Indian border also makes it an important gateway for trade and commerce between Nepal and India.

I recently had the opportunity to travel through Biratnagar Airport, and I must say, it was quite a pleasant experience. From check-in to boarding, the airport staff exhibited efficiency and courtesy. The terminal itself was clean and well-maintained, with ample seating and facilities. The security process was organized and didn't cause any unnecessary delays. The departure and arrival boards were easily visible, making it convenient to keep track of flight information. One aspect that stood out was the friendliness of the airport personnel. They were approachable and willing to assist passengers with any queries or concerns. The baggage handling was swift, and my belongings arrived in perfect condition. While the airport isn't the largest, it served its purpose well. It's evident that efforts have been made to enhance the overall experience for travelers. The only minor drawback could be the limited dining options, but considering the airport's size, this is quite understandable. Overall, Biratnagar Airport provided a smooth and hassle-free travel experience. Its efficient operation and friendly staff contribute to making journeys more enjoyable. I would gladly recommend Biratnagar Airport to anyone traveling to or from the region.

Needs a lot of improvement. It's look like more of a standard bus stand than airport.

  • 3/5 Aman S. 3 years ago on Google
Need more renovation. Toilets are fine, restaurants, as obvious, are little expensive. The entry way is full of greenary and gardens. But, the check points could be little more spacious. However, with prospects of Int'l Airport station, the airport may have better structures. Jai Nepal.
