Entry point and welcome gate of Biratnagar Metropolitan city. Biratnagar was declared a metropolitan on May 22, 2017 along with Birgunj. It stands to be the third most populated metropolitan city after the urban agglomeration of Kathmandu and the Pokhara Lekhnath. The upgradation to the metropolis was witnessed via the addition of Tankisinuwari and Jahada-3 to the previous submetropolitian, pushing the total population to 280,000 approx.

Due to increased road sizes, the gate of biratnagar seems to be smaller and cover only half of the way keeping it bit of danger at the night. But except all that its absolutely gorgeous to watch.

Be careful during your drive through here. The road is broader than the gate and it seems like the gate can cause accident at nights.

The gate is decent enough but what distresses me is that the concerned people scraping down the word "sub" from sub metropolitan city instead of redecorating the gate when biratnagar became metropolitan city. This gate might be the only landmark that inscribes the city's name.

there's nothing to see it's just a gate , just a gate . No idea why it's the first thing that appears on web when searching about biratnagar. Again IT'S JUST A GATE .

It's a useless gate as of now. It has become very old and short in lenght by width which cannot even cover a highway width. According to the new plan the will be destroyed and new gate will be constructed. But this plan is in shade which cannot been executing since years.

What a beautiful entrances gate of Biratnsgar City. A issue with this only a short of height when heighted Consignment. But it is a symbol of Biratnsgar. Renovations is also required due to some shortage of height in Modern Era. It will impress you on First look by you and you cant stop to take a pik of this gate.
