I find it refreshing to work with a doctor who isn’t afraid to work with cutting edge technology to improve her patient experience. I highly recommend her!

I would not trade this place for the world. Dr. Barakat is the best dentist I have ever been to, and I've been to many. The staff here is always friendly and helpful, and they make you feel comfortable and at ease from the moment you walk in the door. If you're looking for a new dentist—or if you just want to get your teeth cleaned more often—you should definitely go there!

The kindest and Sweetest staff....The dentist is heartwarming and caring!... I went to get a little botox and everything was so smooth and I was told all about the procedure and what to look for within a 24 hour period...I am from Georgia and I might have to transfer my insurance to Smiles in Gardendale..Go and check it out for, yourself! ...A Wonderful Experience!

Dr. Ala Barakat has a wonderful soul. She was kind, attentive and extremely professional. As far as her staff, as soon as I step into the office, I was greeted with a beautiful smile and courtesy. Being nervous about going to the dentist, the staff, hygienist and most importantly, Dr. Barakat, put me at ease. I’m so happy to have finally found an amazing dentist who actually cares about their patients. Highly recommend.

Dr. Barakat is wonderful. I had to get a crown yesterday. She made sure that I didn’t feel any pain. They also offer laughing gas which is great for people who dislike going to the dentist. The chairs massage and it was wonderful. They have a snack room with drinks and snacks. I was a bit cold so I put on my cardigan. Dr. Barakat noticed and told me she turned the AC up.

This was for removal of old silver filling and replacement and another filling. I am very hard to numb patient and it usually requires extra needle injections and time. The new laser was used with ZERO pain meds or injections needed and ZERO pain! I am thoroughly impressed!

Dr. Barakat and her staff are committed to providing excellence! I was full of anxiety but they were patient with me and gave me the time that I needed to calm down and relax. I felt important, respected and well taken care of! I 100% recommend Smiles are Forever Gardendale!!!

Very friendly staff. Dr explained everything very well, took her time answering questions. Went over options. I'll definitely continue to go there.
