I have been a member on and off here for a good 20 years. I have been working out extensively for the past six months on a near daily basis. The facility is quite nice. The equipment is decent but most of it is showing severe signs of age. Having said that, the employees are pretty much silent. I’ve never even been greeted when I come in. I have never been offered assistance of any kind. When I have asked for assistance I usually get a blank stare with some sort of statement about how that’s not that person’s job or they don’t know. The other patrons are also pretty much silent also. There is no real communication anywhere here. A lot of attitude. If you walk in and the place is packed with middle school and high school kids you might as well just turn around and leave. Also, Jorgensen Y has been increasing their prices exponentially for quite a long time and I feel it has gone quite far beyond the value proposition I would expect. I have some workout equipment at home and I just spent another few hundred dollars to round out my equipment so I can work out from home. I’ll be canceling my membership again because the value proposition just isn’t there for me.

My husband and I have been using the workout machine room since February 2, 2022, and we have paid over $800 this year. Every time we have worked out, we have had to either wait or skip a machine because someone is on their cell phone. When we ask the person if they are finished, they say no and go back to their phone! We have complained about this to MANY staff members only to be given excuses and do absolutely nothing. It is stated on the list of rules, but is NEVER addressed. No one walks around to monitor and when I suggest that they need to, they refuse to do anything. My husband and I will be looking for another place to exercise.

Insecure 40 year old men who go here act like dlcks to my boyfriend, & get close to me, too. The staff defends them because they're probably their fat girlfriends. If you're skinny & attractive, go find somewhere else to workout. These are brats who got their job from being related to someone. Noone cares about your maxes.

I run here on the track and my children do swimming lessons here. Some of the reviews that complain about other patrons not being talkative and rude baffle me. I'm not there to talk to you. I'm there to run. Why are you going to a gym to talk to people? Track is nice and long (other Ys will have many more laps per mile, this is 8 laps per mile) and mostly people follow the rules. Only ever completely smashed into one person who decide to step into the running lane with no warning. Swimming lessons are good too, no complaints. I read through many of the critical comments and disregarded many, but I could definitely see the summer camps being a drag. I see the kids while I run and they don't look like they're having the times of their lives.

The staff at the Jorgensen location are always extremely friendly! Their Child watch knows my children by name and always take wonderful care of them. Even when my youngest cries when first arriving . The facility is always well taken care of and when anything is damaged, it’s always fixed upon our next visit. There is also a sense of community and it’s something my family and I appreciate the most!

Love all the y's, just want to give a special shout-out to the lifeguard here at the outdoor pool. They are always so attentive and today Mila saved one of my little ones, very thankful for her. Great team here. I prefer this outside pool to other ones around the city and a big reason is because of safety!

I love this ymca it has a great pool and wonderful workout areas but the hot tub is always broken and theres nothing better than working out hard to go into the hot tub and relax my muscles so thats a huge disappointment to me.

The variety of classes is amazing and the instructors are very knowledgeable! I’ve had a lot of fun getting into shape.
