I have been through two knee surgeries with Mr Barkatali and can't speak highly enough of him. He has been a delight to converse with every-time and has always been highly informative and clear about the process and next steps. His skills as a surgeon are absolute top notch and I would recommend him to anyone who is in the position I was in...in fact, I have...numerous times! Mr Barkatali was my surgeon for a total knee replacement recently , he had been recommended to me by my Physio as “The best man for the job” and fortunately his services were available through my medical insurance cover. From start to finish the whole process (despite Covid!) was seamless and any enforced changes accommodated easily and efficiently. Following an unlucky accident I contacted Mr Barkatali at the Knee Clinic for a review. I realised something was seriously wrong as I was unable to walk or raise my Leg. The consultation proved right and I was diagnosed with a ruptured quadriceps tendon - a serious but fixable injury . I was successfully operated on shortly after and the outlook is favourable I should make a complete recovery . Mr Barkatali and his team were superb from the start to finish , as an active person I was keen to know the full process from operation to recovery . I was informed of the details of the injury , how it would be fixed and also the process for follow up and rehabilitation. If you experience a transient life changing injury I would recommend Mr Barkatali and team to help you get back on the road to normal life again.

My experience of having a knee replacement with Mr Barkatali was very positive. I did not have to wait too long for my operation and when the time came everything was explained very clearly to me and everything happened according to plan. I was only in hospital for 2 nights and made a quick recovery after the op and now nearly six months on I can walk without pain and without a limp. I recently enjoyed a few days walking in the Lake District which I haven’t been able to do for quite a while!
