Joining Rock Choir, many years ago, was probably one of the best things I ever did. No interviews, no auditions, no need to read music just a desire to sing is simply enough if you want to join Rock Choir! The places and venues that the Worcester Rock Choir has performed - and you don't have to perform anywhere if you don't want to - over the many years I've been involved are positively "toe curling". From two full days singing at Abbey Road recording studios to concerts at Birmingham's Symphony Hall are just two examples of many places we've been. And it's not all about singing . . . without doubt, the friendliest and most supportive group of people it's been my pleasure to experience, Rock Choir has a strong "family" feel; what's not to like? Go on . . . come and try! Helen, you're the "Rock" in our Rock Choir!

Wow!!! What can I say about Rock Choir in so few words. I joined the choir in January 2013 down in Gerrards Cross as I used to live down south and with that choir sang at Abbey Road, O2, St Albans Abbey, Ideal Home Show Earls Court, South Bank, Heathrow Airport and best of all Tesco's Gerrards Cross. In March 2018 we retired and moved up to Worcester and the benefit fit of Rock Choir having 28,000 members plus is that you can transfer from one to the other. Though the transfer fee Katy paid to get rid of me is still secret. 😋. I then joined the Worcestershire & Tewkesbury Rock Choir under the excellent leadership of Helen Jones and the fun continues in 18 months in the Worcester bass section we have been back again to Abbey Road sung at Pershore Abbey, Radio 2's Proms in the park plus brilliant local gigs raising monies for worthy causes like St Richards Hospice, MacMillan and Oscar Saxilby-Lee's fight for life. Soon the choir will sing at Birmingham Symphony Hall and Château Impney plus a BBC Children in Need 80's event. Now don't think it's all work, we'll 90% is, but it fun. Rock Choir is like a family wherever you go a Rockie will be found nearby and it's a shared camaraderie of spirits whether at your weekly choir or meeting one on a cruise ship in the Med. They say singing is good for your physical and mental health, I second that and recommend you join your local Rock Choir wherever you are, but we would welcome your in Worcester.

Joined Worcester Rock Choir around 4 years ago and it’s one of the best things I have ever done. I have been part of dozens of performances ranging from Wembley, the Edinburgh Fringe, recording at Abbey Road to many local events helping to raise tens of thousands of pounds for local and national charities. I have made loads of new friends and get a real high from being a small part in the most wonderful sound that we produce. The best part has been meeting our inspirational leader Helen who gives her all to make sure we have a fun, moving, life changing experience every week. Roger Pitt

Rock Choir.!!! Yay!! .. Totally the best!!!! I wish I had known about it years ago, I just heard Chris Evans on radio 2 last year, signed up that evening and have never left.. I joined one year ago and have met so many lovely people who are also Rock Choir members locally and nationally. Every time I sing with these guys and girls my heart sings too!! I love the songs and the way the harmonies work beautifully. I have performed for many charitable occasions as a 'Rocky' and also recorded at Abbey Road. Helen our local Rock Choir leader is such an inspiration and has such patience and talent and is just a joy to spend time with, she makes us laugh everytime :) wonderful!! Thank you Rock Choir!!! xxxxx Thank you Helen xxx

Rock choir is a community that doesn’t stop being an amazing experience, outside of choir. Friendships are forged and compassionate support when needed and all you do is ask. The choir that keeps on giving with a feel good factor and be uplifting when life deals you curve balls. I wish it were on daily prescription.
