I have been to the Junction lots of times this year and always found it a well established pub. We reserved a table for a meal for a surprise birthday six of my family for Saturday night at 8pm. We were shown to our table and ordered drinks. The waitress came over to take a food order, only to be told after we placed the order that there where no Burgers available and several of the starters including a soup has sold out. So we re ordered then to be told half of the meals wasn't available. A birthday surprise meal totally ruined with no apologies offered from the team and food orders still going out to customers who came after we were seated.

So as I was passing through Harborne to go home with my sister we got off and we thought we take a look in The Junction and see if by the off chance they do food there. Which they happen to do. As we weren't supper hungry we had two starters of the Crispy squid with a mango salsa, Korean style chicken and seafood linguine which we shared. Also we had the warm chocolate brownie with ice cream. 🥰 We were amazed how good the food was as we always go past but never been. They also do Sunday roast dinners which we want to try out as well. Thank you for the great food and service.

Excellent service, the staff are always welcoming and the manager Helen, is always happy and extremely pleasant. First class service, the food is excellent and always nice and always prompt. Helen the manager , always gives an excellent service and always knows what my drink is and when I want food. All the staff are friendly and Helen will support her new staff. Can recommend the place, anytime of the day. The presentation of the food is excellent . I can not recommend them anymore, I can just advise that you visit and see for yourself.

Lovely old pub, relaxing, comfy leather chairs and original tiling as you go downstairs. Spent a great couple of hours in here 3 weeks ago with my daughter and her partner.

Lovely public house with a spacious interior. My seating area was a little too dark for me, but this wouldn't be the case with most seats in the building. The food was served incredibly quickly (2 courses served and eaten in roughly 40 minutes). The menu itself had many familiar dishes and a few nice spins on the pub classics (the katsu chicken burger was delightful) The hospitality was incredible here. The waitress serving us was very considerate especially. My mother had developed a blister on the way to the pub, and this waitress was kind enough to go find a plaster for her. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I'll be revisiting soon

Nice place, nice pork rind! UPDATE: Been to this pub a few times now and have to up my rating to 5 stars. The service and ales are great. But what's special about this venue...? The Scotch Eggs! Amazing!! Check out the photos, speak for themselves. Get yourself down there!

Been coming here on and off. The ales are always well matured. Nice decor. I have been enjoying the staff too. John is a beautiful and well spoken gent. I couldn't understand his posh dialect but I think he was helpful. And Veryan today was good too. I'll be back soon. No reason for under 18s to be banned though

Lovely pub, first visit. Will definitely be back. Had hake which was marginally overcooked but still delicious. Served by Billy who was was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Highly recommend the Fried Chicken starter, big thumbs up for that. Gorgeous old building that's retained original features; the art nouveau tiles in the long hike to the Ladies are wonderful.

First time here on a busy early Saturday evening and the atmosphere was lovely. I didn't realise the pub was so big. Lots of character and comfy seating. Will definitely return. Thank you 😊

Great pub for drinks but avoid eating there. Poor quality food. One meal had to be sent back and another (fish in batter) hard as a rock and burnt underneath. There’s a choice between fries and chips and despite emphasising chips three sets of fries were served. Unimpressed

From outside this place looks like a regular pub but inside Its a gastropub it has a nice bar at the front and plenty of tables along the side and towards the back of the room. I went with my wife around 3pm on a Monday and it was quiet. We asked for menus at the bar and picked a table at the back. They have the option to order and pay at table but the burger menu was not on the website so went up to the bar and ordered. The lady served me straight away and asked if I had any allergies, she answered any questions I had about the food and double checked with the chef about how the chicken schnitzel was cooked. Our starter was a crispy calamari I and was pleasantly surprised. At first glance it looked over done but it was cooked beautifully, not chewy or stringy just perfect bites. Next came our mains, I had the chicken schnitzel and I finished every bite. It’s not often I eat the salad that comes along with a meal but I liked this as it wasn’t drenched in dressing and the fries were perfectly cooked. My wife had the big dipper from the burger menu (this menu was not on the website hence why we went up to the bar to order). Again the fries were cooked to perfection and the burger was delicious, the burger bun was nice and soft and the right amount of sauce and pickles are on the burger too. I will definitely come back again especially to try the Sunday roast. This place is my new favourite food spot in harborne.

Been here a few times-the service is brilliant as is the quality of the food and drinks. The pub itself has plenty of character . Charming decor and dog friendly too. Would definitely recommend when in Harborne.

Popped in late on Friday for a catch up with a friend. Always a great atmosphere in here and friendly service. Ash was excellent as ever, attentive and was very happy to save us a trip to the bar on the second round by bringing them over.

Service was good and attentive, Chicken was over cooked and dry, Beef and the Pork were great. My latte did not arrive after being ordered. Deserts were great.

Really nice looking pub in a good spot in Harborne. Bar service was a little slow and the drinks prices were extortionate. A pint of Asahi and a small can of Siren craft brew came to over £12.

I've been before, Very spacious in its own way, historic building Must go and have food there

Lovely historical building, the staff are super friendly and welcoming. It’s the type of pub you can go in on your own and get chatting to the bar staff. The food is always a hot in here. Come here most Sundays with the family for a roast. Best place here is outside in the beer garden and the best time is mid autumn/winter to sit outside under the covered area.

Great ambience, dog friendly and absolutely wonderful food. Staff have great knowledge on the different beers and lagers too, and they have a great selection. Definitely worth a visit

I've been here several times. The food is delicious, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The open fire is an added bonus and they are very doggy friendly.

The food was delicious, waiting staff could have been a little more efficient especially as there were only 2 groups in the place. Would go back again as the menu was great, food was lovely and reasonable and it was spotless

First time here very disappointed. Firstly menus come with no prices on I could have asked for the prices but it looked like a nice place so expected the food and the service to be good. My husband had the pie obviously microwaved as it was soft and soggy and the gravy was so watery. I had the pork belly I asked for no veg only cabbage. When it came I had two fair size potoes and three tiny ones the pork belly which was over cooked and stringy cabbage and a Yorkie and again very watery gravy. I wasn't sure if my meal should have had stuffing on it but as the waitress left our meals and didn't even return to ask if our meals were ok I didn't ask. Two meals and a pint of Carling and one Latte £35 not enjoyable or value for money at all.

Passing through to stop at Waitrose, but the supermarket didn’t have a loo, so I used The Junction’s and said I’d be back for lunch! I was and it was tasty and the sandwich and drink deal is a bargain at £11! All day kitchen too is very useful, as I was surprised it was open at 3pm, brilliant 🤩

Usually great beer, but rather short on offerings on this visit. Great staff - friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking. Rather overpriced.

Went on a Friday night, busy bustling pub but still found a table for 4 easily enough. Friendly but noisy atmosphere, good choice of beers. Food at typical Harborne prices

A really great first Sunday lunch visit! Excellent standard of food, and value for money as well. The roasts were perfect; Definite recommendation here!
