I generally come here after work for a few drinks sometimes. The drinks are reasonably priced and there is seating area situated around the bar. Close to Grand Central and Snow hill making it ideal for me. It is also less busy than Alchemist therefore you are likely to get served quicker.

First visit and probably last for food although i would return for a drink only. Hugely disappointed with some of the food, fish and chips was good and value for money, but the burgers were the issue-small burger and bap with about 10 to 12 chips with a slice of bacon (extra £2.50 !!!!) In total nearly £20.00!!! You would have better value for money with a McDonald's Big Mac. Can't say enough how disappointed I was with those meals, it's like they were children's portions both my lads are over the age of 20. I spent over £200 yesterday and was left feeling robbed. A nice place for a drink but I won't be eating there again in the near future. Lastly on a personal note adding a surcharge of £17 was also a disappointment, I know u could asked to be removed but I believe surcharges should be added at customer discretion.

If you like city pubs this is one of the better ones. The range of beverages was diverse. The highlight was the the quick, helpful and attentive staff. Mediocre beer you can get everywhere customer service is the difference

What on earth happened to The Roebuck, visited yesterday as a party of 6, staff didn’t seem to want to be there and food was way below par from Our last visit, no one bothered to ask why meals were only half eaten especially the lasagna which was dry as a bone and looked like it had been nuked in a microwave. Should have had alarm bells ringing when we walked in to an half empty pup at 4pm will not be retuning

Nice place to share drinks. Small but selective variety of wines and rich list of cocktails. Polite and attentive service. Nice interior, nice people!

Love the vibe here. When the bar and restaurant is quiet it's relaxing here, on the flip side there's a buzz when it's busy, particularly at Christmas time. Some very good ales on sale, with no problems to try before you buy. Very good service from Joanna and Lucy with a good quality sound system.

Decent bar had a solid group in there. Nice beer selection, have some good heaters to warm up from the cold.

Very friendly atmosphere, lovely staff, 2 for £12 cocktails that tasted great. Pool table and enough seating. Definitely one of my go to spots for a drink. Can't go wrong.

A very different experience to the madly busy other Fullers pub up the road by the square. Proper pub, not bad beer (although Fullers/Asahi really should be using microbrewey products as guests) and spacious.

Popped in by accident for quick drink. Looks decent for after work gathering which looks like their most custom. Should be lively at the weekend. Background music was very good. Very surprised to hear 'Sincere' by MJ Cole 👍 I've never heard this anywhere except when I play this track myself.

A great eatery in the City Centre. Although ostensibly a pub, getting served is a challenge at the bar when it's busy. However, book a table, you get table service, real ales are available, the food is great and the staff are fun and pleasant. Try the potato cakes with extra ham and egg...you won't need to be fed later!

Had a lovely lunch here this week. We were first to arrive on the day and the staff were excellent and even provided table service in the dining area. Our food was excellent and I spotted there were some tables that can be used as remote working spaces with plug sockets for those who don't want to go to a cafe. My only frustration was wanting to give a tip to the server and discovering it can't be clearly added when paying by card. Good table servers should always be able to be tipped especially as we move more cashless.

Great customer service and great ambience. Lovely little pub. Paid parking available on the streets adjacent and some of the spots are payable via RingGo so be aware of that if you're driving.

Great bar, comfortable, stylish, great selection of drinks and as usual in Birmingham friendly staff. A lovely place to have a quiet drink to interrupt a days shopping!

The pub is stylish. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food however did not fit the surrounding. A group of us went for a meal after work. The menu was limited with some of the selections looking more at home at lunchtime. The presentation was not very good. I ordered some bar snacks which were put in plain white bowls, not arranged, no garnish other than a bit of dipping sauce. I also had popcorn chicken which were burnt. No one came back to check on our food even though the bar was not very busy. I would go back for drinks but definitely not the food.

Good food. A little pricey, but considering it's the business district, maybe it's catering for its clientele. Booking isn't that necessary, you can get a table if you turn up at 12, but leave it until 1pm and you'll be hard pushed to find one.

Great bar, cosy and modern inside. Good seating, nicely spaced out for more intimate gatherings. Nice bar staff and a good stocked bar with beers, ales and lagers on tap. Always had a good pint. Have been several times on a Saturday afternoon before and always enjoyed a sandwich from the lunchtime menu. During this last visit (it had been a while since previous visits) the lunchtime menu was about to be changed to weekdays only ☹️ thankfully this was the last Saturday for us to be able to order. Sadly the lunch was very unappealing and uncomparable to previous. Tiny portion of shredded BBQ chicken and slaw on a brioche with fries. Hardly any fries and bun was hardly filled with chicken. Very disappointing. Music was also played far too loud for a lunchtime conversation. Food served quickly and good pint, but we left somewhat dissatisfied.

Always had great service here. The guinness here is always excellent. Poured brilliantly and extra cold making it nice and refreshing. Always had good pints no matter what the beer. Highly recommended to visit for a good pint

This place is nice, on the day I was there it was quiet and the staff were lovely, I'll bet its buzzing when its full. If you drink lager you're fine as plenty of choice, if you drink ale your choice is more limited. On the day I was there, that was a choice of 1. Also, maybe it's just me but I do begrudge paying nearly £7 for a pint of ok beer that wasn't exceptional. So to summarise, the place is nice but the drinks are too expensive hense the 4 stars

Super busy in town and we dropped in here on our way over to the JQ. It was busy in here too with a mix of all age groups. Lovely atmosphere everyone very friendly. Bit of a wait at the bar but the staff did really to get everyone served in the order they got to the bar which is great.

Lovely pub, nice staff. FREEZING COLD every time we visit. Nipping up the German market to warm up. In summary wear thermals.

Was on here for the football the night England were cheated by the ref in the game against France. Despite being very very bustythe staff were organised and professional, to the extent that they practiced the long list art of remembering who's tern it was at the bar... Full credit to both sides of the bar for that. Ordered food (well lots of bowls of chips) and the portions were large and thus well priced. Generally I don't have reason to visit that side of the city but if I have to again I will call. Good venue, nice atmosphere, well priced and excellent staff. 9/10.

It's a nice pub and the staff are friendly the only downside was that they didn't have a great selection of real ale on tap but they seem to have a wide selection of bottled and canned beer available.

One of the female bar staff requires customer service training she was quite rude, nice food and drinks though also quite busy.

Bought a bottle of Pino and a beer cost £33 second round pint and a half of lager. £8.60 what a rip off.

Didn't eat there but spent a fun couple of hours with ex work colleagues on a perfect late summer night in Birmingham. A native of Shropshire these days, I was very impressed with the vibrant scene in the city. Drinks were reasonably priced too .

A gem of a pub near the cathedral. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic. Excellent bar staff except for one girl who did her upmost not to serve anyone.

Found the place to be welcoming. Polite staff despite what I was wearing. Reasonable prices in food and drinks. Place was clean and have a decent amount of regulars. Only 4 stars as I never checked the toilets, a lot can be said about a place by the state of a toilet!!
