Lovely quaint pub on the canal side, literally! stopped here for a quick pint (and a coffee) whilst people and narrow boat watching, great spot and a charming pub

Pretty little pub in great spot. Absolutely disgustingly over priced drinks!!! 2 pints brewdog over £14!!! Never paid that anywhere else I've been in the country!! Don't bother unless you like being ripped off!!

Great pub. Tables inside and out. Ok selection of beers but main thing is the atmosphere. Friendly bar staff and perfect location on the canals.

The English breakfast was unremarkable. It took 25 mins to arrive (even if no-one else ordered food) and it was unevenly warm, since I saw them putting it in the microwave before serving it, which made the scrambled eggs dry but the bacon was still lukewarm. A misleading sign showed the breakfast price with a list of components, including "orange juice" and "tea or coffee", but it turns out it's only one drink so frustratingly I had to pay for the juice separately. The staff was also not particularly attentive and the space inside felt a bit cramped. I think the place is more suited for drinks sitting at one of the outdoor tables near the canal, so probably better to avoid it for food.

Been here several times for one or another tasty beer. Mostly late, never recognized they would serve food as well. Toilets are really a point to heavily improve, thus 3 stars only.

What a disappointment. My partner and I have been coming to this lovely bar for a while, and recently it has really fallen short of expectations. £7.00 for a pint of Punk IPA and £6.90 for a pint of Guinness is nothing short of criminal, but the final straw was yesterday, trying to enjoy our evening we saw the bar manager/owner lady scream and be horrible to their own staff. We would understand the price for impeccable service and a lovely atmosphere, but you are paying top prices for an owner/management that screams and scolds their employees - especially in front of customers (for something minor as well...). Shame. Do not reward this behaviour by coming here.

This is a very cosy little bar with an open fire, it's location is within walking distance to Broad St and the Mailbox, decent beer too. Unfortunately let down massively by the toilets that resembled something from a scene in the film Trainspotting. Apart from that we enjoyed our visit here.

Lovely and quirky but severely overpriced! £6.90 for a pint of staropramen may explain why we were the only people in the place. Such a shame as I'm sure it would be bustling with more reasonable prices. Won't return unless this changes sadly

Canalside Bar is a trendy hangout spot located by the canal in Birmingham. It offers an extensive range of drinks, including cocktails and craft beers, and a tasty menu of food items. With outdoor seating and stunning canal views, it's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the city's atmosphere.

Lovely interior, but unfortunately very overpriced drinks. I feel a little bit cheated - £6.90 for a half of staropramen and half a Hobgoblin. I'd say that's 40% above most similar establishments. Probably explains why it was so quiet!

What a beautiful little bar on the side of the now infamous Birmingham Canal. Was there for the Iron Maiden concert nearby and despite there being a load of concert goers all drinking and getting in the spirit of things, the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating.

Went on a warm Friday evening and it was nearly empty. Probably because the service was polite but excruciatingly slow and the prices ridiculously high (£7 for a pint of beer). Nice interior, lovely location but that's it.

Disappointed, this was our favourite bar, the previous manager was fantastic and created a great atmosphere. Now the new staff who admittedly work hard only play music they want which is predominately Indian music. We asked if they could play something different and they just played a different version of Indian music. good bar staff should play to their customers taste not what music they like. Hopefully this changes as we will miss going to the canalside.

Great beer and home made pizza in a wood fired oven, tiny little pub but well worth a visit.

Cute little pub , allows dogs inside too which is what attracted us to the place. Had a pit stop here from walking the dog along the canals. Staff are super friendly. They even brought our lil pooch a bowel of water. Will defo stop off again on our next walk

First visit to Birmingham was made all the better for visiting this little bar at the side of the canal. Birmingham is a great diverse place to visit, and this little bar have your a great seat right at the canal watching the hire boats go by. Bar staff really friendly.

Very nice atmosphere, staff very good and friendly, Dylan is a top waiter! Food very good, would say a little expensive but it's city prices and they put me off going back! Recommended for sure!

Excellent, quaint bar. Sat there for 3 hours, 2 days running, just watching the canal world go by. Fantastic staff. Not cheap, but well worth the money.

This has gone right down , they used to have a lovely fire which was very cosy, it's now too cold to sit and drink in there...shame really as had great times in there.

Went in here for my first time last night. Warm and cozy little place. Lots of cozy seating next to an open fire. Quirky and dainty. It is a lovely little place. Great selection of drinks and friendly staff. Toilets were unusual but matched the feel of the place of its authentic & rustic nature. Toilets were clean when I went. On my list of favourite pubs.
