Found this little gem. After living in the area for over 20yrs and never visiting it. Wow since our first vist last week we've been back 4 times already for food and drinks. If you like good pub food, cheeky deals and a lovely team to serve you well this pub is for you. The staff and chef are extremely welcoming 🙏 The real ale is also top glass. Thanks guys

Staff are beyond lovely and accommodating. I'm vegan and quite picky about textures so I tend to be the headache of the party. But they are always so nice, helpful, and understanding. I've had their vegan pie once and their vegan burger twice. I prefer the burger but I'd be happy to see their vegan menu expand in the future. I tried their vegan ice cream as well but it was much too sweet for me.

This is our go to place every time we come back to Great Barr. Leah and her team are all amazing but a special mention to Steve as he was brilliant with all of us but especially our daughter. Looking forward to our next visit in the New Year

We only visited for few celebraty drinks haven't been for couple of years. Very welcoming and friendly. Loving the new layout. Nxt time will go for a meal as the food looked scrumptious.

Our local and we love it for food. Really accommodating either the children and excellent outdoor seating so we can bring the dog too.

My local, staff always friendly and fun. Food fab alot of choice. Drinks and atmosphere on point, lovely place to bring your children. Lots of entertainment. Xx

Attended a funeral wake at the Hamstead. Great service and support from the staff. Venue was perfect. Food very plentiful and tasty. Highly recommend. Thank you to the staff who made it a memorable event.

Had a good pub meal fish and chips lasagne with a beer and soft drink £18 cant complain

Yesterday our family visited the Hamstead Pub in Green Lane 6 Adults and 3 Children fir Sunday Lunch. Never been so disgusted in my life with the food .we spent over £85 we had to send 4 meals back 2 were cold mixed grill was burnt. Steak sausage and gammonws black the burger meals were also burnt all unbeatable theyhchangesthe the mixed grill

Best staff ever. The fish and chips to die for. Cocktails delicious. Look forward toFriday lunch time at the Hamstead. Well done to all the staff.

as usual from the minute you walk in you are greeted with the most friendiest staff, and this service lasts throughout your stay, whether you are there for a meal or just popped in for a pint. Megan looked after us on our last two visits and was exceptional.

Very clean. Nice staff. Can accommodate events for births and receptions/wakes for funerals. Two separate car parks, but the bays in the smaller car park aren't very big.

Food here has always been lovely, we live local and come here so often. It’s our first choice always when we want pub grub, but unfortunately our last two visits for food have been disappointing, I don’t know who or what has happened but both times after biting into food the middle was stone cold, rushed & just chucked together, quite a shame as we love this little pub, hopefully food becomes great again soon :) staff are ALWAYS pleasant and very very polite all the time, no fault with any staff member , always feel welcome and here.. :)

Great pub, very clean and a lovely atmosphere, the staff were lovely, food was excellent went for lunch cod and chips fish was the best I have had for a long time.

Ok. Just found it loud. Asked the barstaff if they could turn the music down. Apparently they couldn't! It actually got louder. Met a group of old friends. Literally had to shout to each other, on a quiet Wednesday night.!!! For a local pub on an estate ,. Its not Broad Street !

Something as changed at the Hamstead, unfortunately not for the good,.. last week we were served burnt food which had to be sent back, again this week burnt food sent back but replaced with still frozen in the middle substitute. Shame really cuz it's a lovely pub with great friendly staff.

The food here was really good, awesome menu and pub is very nice. A great outside eating area too

Hosted the wake for a school friend coincidence it was the day of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Excellent buffet prepared. Bar staff patient and polite. Good choice of beers, wine, spirits as well as Tea, coffee etc.

There after a funeral but haven't been there in many years and what a lovely pub it is. Nice staff and they provided a fine buffet of hot and cold food. Would go again as I'm sure their meals would be very good quality

I always enjoy an evening at the Hamstead or an afternoon lunch with my friend to catch up on family gossip. Added bonus it's across the road from my house.

The sports doesn't work half the time which is pretty annoying when you're watching football etc. Quite pricey here for drinks compared to 90% of the pubs in the area. Most of the staff are nice and the foods quite good and good value for money.

Quick service and tasty food. Chicken Katsu curry was very good. Uses the My Pub application so you can order food and drink to your table. Lost one star as not sure listing the Ales available as simply Ale 1, Ale 2, Ale 3, etc was particularly helpful as not obvious what you were ordering
