Lovely ๐Ÿ˜food and You don't have to wait long the curries are takeaway quality but reasonably priced, the staff are friendly and You can have the crack with them and chat. The customer's are friendly and the atmosphere is very chilled and the Pub is spacious. Highly recommended

Amazing place with plenty of space. Bar staff were pleasant and friendly. We were quick to be served and the food was tasty. Would most certainly go back again ๐Ÿ˜Š

I use this pear tree.Daily because the drinks are cheaper. The food including soft/alcoholic drinks are realley good value for money.and the staff are very pleasent.and it caters for children's meals and the toilet's M/F are allways clean and tidy. And they have a DISABLED TOILET. Which is always clean tidy

Avoid this pub of you want food or to be served in a worthy fashion. Bar staff always serve regulars over other punters and happily take half the order for a table before moving on and serving others. Food never arrives together and is often incorrect or missing parts of the order. Altogether a very disappointing dining experience. :( :( :(

Food was good, staff were nice. Fast service. I gave 4 stars because the tables were a bit sticky.

I popped into the Pear Tree pub, on the Alcester Road, Kings Heath, Birmingham, a few days ago for a drink and some lunch. I must say, it is quite sad in a way, that this place will be closing down fairly soon. For the past twenty years or so, this pub has served the community well. Although, not a regular patron myself, I have always found it to be bustling and lively whenever I have gone in. When I went in for lunch the other day, I had the vegan Mangalorean roasted cauliflower and spinach curry with a garlic nan bread and two poppadoms. With a pint of Guinness as well, this came to just ยฃ8.80. Good value for money. The food was excellent, and the customer service provided was second to none. Full marks to the young guy who served me at the bar, and also to the guy who brought my food to my table. They are very efficient and professional. Great shame this pub will soon be gone, but I suppose nothing stays the same for ever.

Absolutely terrible! The place was a mess all tables still had dirty plates and glasses everywhere, I had to ask someone to wipe the table & i really wouldn't mind but the place wasnt even busy! I ordered some food undoubtedly knowing it was going to be pot luck with a wetherspoons meal. Well all the food came out cold & when I managed to get a member of staff to assist( although she was lovely and very apologetic) they took the food away and brought it back "fresh" they had literally just recooked the chicken wings and replaced 2 fresh ones that had been nibbled, as the other 8 were burnt to a crisp cutting my mouth!!! The curry was the only warm thing served, blatantly just came out of the microwave while the naan bread and rice had been sat there, it was cold & hard.In the end I just left, leaving the awful food.

Wetherspoons pub in great old building. Fast & efficient service as expected. Good selection of ales considering shortages elsewhere. Food (Buttermilk chicken burger) as tasty as usual. Can get busy on weekends.

I like the fire burner here. There's a screen showing football when I last visited. Some nice tiling upstairs. Personally, I prefer the Elizabeth Fry in Moseley. I have eaten here a while ago

We were really impressed..lovely atmosphere and staff. The main thing though was my wife left her bag behind with all her cards and her purse and phone on a very busy Saturday night....and 2 hours later we found it had been handed in and looked after by the manageress who was very sympathetic. Thank you.

There is no rump steak on the wetherspoons app so I went to the till to order as it was on a paper menu. Asked for a medium rare rump steak. When it arrived I had to sent back due to it being well done but it was also a serloin! The manager was kind and offered for it to be redone which I accepted but had to wait over half an hour just for it to come out exactly the same way and still being a serloin! Ended up getting a refund. My friends birthday meal was ruined. Utterly disappointed. Would of expected more than just a refund after the chef's terrible service!

The bar wasnโ€™t too busy but I stood there to order food and the barman deliberately served others that came up to the bar after me. Totally unacceptable and will not be returning If thatโ€™s customer service then itโ€™s sadly mistaken

Food was OK!! Service was excellent, food arrived quickly. More people getting drunk than eating meals, might be better if there were separate areas but otherwise an OK experience
