We went as a large group of south Asian queer people. Although we were let in without any problems (though there seems to have been a strange comment made by the bouncer about our ‘Asian’ group), I didn’t find the club particularly welcoming - people uncomfortably staring at our group and openly racial comments made towards our group. It’s a shame that the gay community is still so openly racist to its own members from the non- white community. I would avoid if came back to Birmingham again based on the crowd. I would recommend the Loft instead!

The bar is great until the power tripping security guard starts perving on your voluptuous breasts and doesn’t get a chance to have his way with you. He then uses any excuse to get you removed from the building and has a girl clearly to young to get in to the bar screaming in the street at him and then threatens to hit them. Keep your girls safe and avoid this bar. Had 3 drinks and Apparently to drunk to continue when they have slaughtered teenagers all over the place. No wonder they have signs around the place telling everyone your drink gets spiked it’s probably the security trying to bag the underage girls. From a humble girl who just tried to have fun yet security said no because they are ….

Visited 08/07/23. Really going down hill. Bad experience with the DJ. Nasty, paranoid, chip on shoulder chump of a guy. An absolute nobody. Giving me attitude. All I did was politely request a tune. Which I do every time I go on there and the usual (nice/talented) DJ plays but not this piece of work. Started to argue for no reason then berating me from the mike . . absolute sc&m. People seem to prefer the Village because it’s always packed and I know why. Don’t take your clientele for granted and don’t use this so-called DJ again…. belongs in the gutter/trash.

My experience with this bar has been very good for the most part. The customer service could be a bit better. As i work in the same industry I know bad customer service when I see it. The dj on Friday and Saturday absolutely brilliant music from all decades and just a lovely environment. Just need to work on better customer service and i think they will do better. Also they could do with a better toilet for upstairs as it's a mess. All in all I will give this place a 6/out of 10.

0 stars if I could not for the fact of the bar it's a lovely run bar the girl with short brown hair/blonde running through it has no customer service skills what so ever and wouldn't get a job anywhere else. The door security even worse only the bald white guy on the front door and the little Jamaica guy was nice. The tall Jamaica guy definitely a jacket filler and won't have his badge or job for long with the way he speaks to members of the public, disrespectful rude man and needs to step into the real world and not a gay bar door.

Bar is usually full of nice new faces, bar staff are lovely, always good entertainment, one thing that lets it down the security staff with their attitude towards people, violent and malicious behaviour and hunger to discriminate, don’t find the bar inviting anymore and not worth the night out when you are left to feel low about yourself because of them

It's got two floors , bottom floor is more party vibes , upstairs is Kareoke, it's a pub by day although I've only visited on nights. Free entry and nice staff. Good vibes good people. There's all sorts of ages in there it's a nice mix.

Stopped in on a "Hag do" for a couple of drinks, great atmosphere, super friendly bar staff, engaging fun party music, stage to make you feel fabulous! Took a star off because the Toilets need updating, there pretty disgusting.

This is probably the best of the bars in Birmingham. The music is typical for gay bars but it’s good. The beer is good and reasonably priced, but they do not know how to deal with nightmare customers. P*ssed/drugged up customer comes in, latches onto a couple of guys, drinks their drinks, keeps touching up one of them VERY inappropriately. They were very uncomfortable about it and left. It was very clear from the SECOND she came in that she would be a nuisance. She proceeds to mini-puke in the corner. Told the staff she needs to go but I was ignored. A regular customer asked for blue roll and got her to clean part of it up. He cleaned up the rest of it. Seriously folks. With a doorman on, she shouldn’t have been allowed in in the first place. She drives your customers away. She’s well known apparently. My advice… bar those who drive your customers away.

As an older guy am not into dance scene etc (an old fogey) so only come here occasionally and early afternoon for a beer and sit down. Always get good friendly service so no complaints at all. Cannot speak for busy evenings late night crowd and shows etc. Decent range of lagers at typical city centre prices but no real ale.

Took a load of LGBT commonwealth volunteers here and to say they were rude is an understatement!!They closed the door in our face, yet let other people who were not wearing commonwealth games outfits in, to say they were disrespectful to all those who helped with the commonwealth games this month is an understatement. This is a bar that screams judgement and prejudice, take your pink pound elsewhere. Awful treatment of those who brought life to the city and are LGBT. Unless you are the ‘ideal male’ they are looking for to enter this place you have no chance. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY .

They’ve taken my citizencard after saying it was fake and are refusing to return it. I had all the proof to suggest otherwise including another form of ID - door staff were very rude for no reason whatsoever.

9/12/23 Hey guys. Apparently, security guys are allowed to bomb into your table and smash your bears and cocktails spilt all over my friend. When I asked the supervisor of the bar if we would be compensated they refused as they were not their staff members… my question is who are you hiring then? And are we really safe then? Not coming back again.
