Student bar with pub grub. Very inconsistent. The hunters chicken is the size of a chicken nugget on the last two occasions. Pics taken prove my point.

Went for a meal with some friends recently and the customer service we received was shocking and completely uncalled for. I had ordered the vegan chickpea burger, which was advertised to come with a 'chilli slaw'. It arrived with only the burger patty and a sad piece of lettuce which looked extremely dry. Upon requesting the chilli slaw, I was then given several portions of coleslaw and a side of chilli sauce. This is not at all what is advertised and the coleslaw is not vegan as it would have contained mayo. This has happened before and instead I had requested cheese to make the burger less dry, which was met with a very unwilling and rude response by the server. It appears to me that they cannot be bothered to make the chilli slaw as it would involve grating the ingredients separately and it is easier for them to sell pre-made coleslaw. Several friends had ordered the salt beef burger, which was advertised to come with two patties and seasoned fries. All the plates that came out had only one patty and plain fries. Upon mentioning this to a woman who appeared to be in charge, she came back to us after visiting the kitchen and informed us that they had used a 6oz burger as they had no 3oz burgers left. This seemed highly doubtful as the patty was the same size as others who had ordered a normal sized burger. They had also failed to mention this to us which was very unprofessional and upon questioning this, they became very defensive and rude, failing to make any sort of apology or make up for this. If this was the case, it should have been mentioned upon delivering the food. The bouncers stood around our table as if to intimidate us and after several arguments about the way they had handled it, we eventually gave up on the argument due to them making us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. We expected a better service from a greeneking pub and we most certainly will not be visiting again.

The food was amazing. It's really tasty, to be honest. And also the ambiance was nice and aesthetic. Will definitely go again.

Had to wait almost an hour for food when the place wasn't even busy. There were tables near us that got their food before us even though they arrived after we did. Asked the bar staff on two occasions where our food was and only on the second occasion did the guy come back to us to let us know that we'd have to wait another 2-3 minutes. It was more like 10.

A newly refurbished with Indian cuisines. Lavish seating available for small and big groups. Good deals on curries and beer combos. The staff is engaging and service is quick. Parking available on the side streets. Mainly a student hub being close to the university but a nice place for a perfect night out dinner for a celebration.

Full of friendly people, in the University student zone, keenly priced drinks and child friendly (useful for my family being Chelsea fanatics). Did i mention 3 well maintained pool tables and plenty of sports screens for main events? Fantastic!

An okay place for a drink. Male toilets could do with a tidy up as the locks on the cubicle doors broken, usually also a lack of toilet paper. Last time I went with a friend, went to order food only to be told they weren't taking any more food orders because they had a big group coming in - no signs anywhere to suggest no more food orders were being taken and the bloody menus were still on the tables! Why have the menus on the tables if you aren't taking food orders?! Don't really follow a "queue" system at the bar, I find generally that people who arrived after me to the bar get served before myself and never really get an answer why this happens when you ask the bar staff, I assume they want the students' money more than mine?

Loved the vibe of the restaurant. The food options are quite varied and pocket friendly. Being a student this is the place I would recommend to everyone to go have a blast with your friends and eat delicious food.

Food is lovely, however way too spicy. I ordered a mild curry and it was so spicy that I couldn’t even eat it. Disappointing as the flavours were lovely.

Popped in this place with my student daughter for a bite to eat before a gig. She comes here with her friends. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. We shared a curry with masala fries, poppadoms and naan. Good choice of drinks, we had flavoured gins. Delicious food well presented. The pub and facilities were excellent. Would definitely come back here with my husband for a meal.

Wao! Wao!! Wao!!! This is the best meals that my family and I have ever enjoyed from Greene King Branch so far. Right from the entrance, the waitress (Caroline) welcome us with a lovely smile and seated us in a comfy corner. The starter was so appetising and the Main Dishes that followed after 10 minutes was well plated, nicely portioned and delicious. We had no option than to request the presence of the Chef (Chris) and acknowledge his excellent service. In short I can't fault the service in any way. However, I would recommend that the management upgrade most of the furnitures. On behalf of my family and I, we say a very BIG THANK YOU to both Caroline and Chris for making our day. 💯

Staff are very friendly and quick to serve, the general atmosphere of the pub is welcoming which is helped by the quaint interior with a classic pub layout. Food is very high quality with surprisingly short waiting times even during busier periods, and the bar is equipped with a great range of drinks to suit any occasion. Facilities were cleaned to a high standard and staff are quick to make sure tables are tidied after people have left without disrupting general service to keep waiting at a minimum

Pretty nicely furnished, good vegan food, friendly staff. The toilets are terrible though - there was no soap, and even the dispensers had been taken off the walls.

Me and my house mates enjoyed our visit here. Even with everything going on we felt safe. The staff were on top of all the rules could see they were confident enforcing them. There was on male staff member just walking round enforcing the rules and we saw him kick one group out for not following them. The food and drinks were great value and the app to order was easy and quick. We will be back again!

This is such a nice bar! We were greeted at the door and asked to complete track & trace as is the new norm. We were then shown to our table and told how to order. the food and drinks were good value for money. The 3 girls working were all lovely and I would recommend this place to others. The only thing I would change would be to get a fresh lick of paint and some new furniture as it looks tired and worn out.

I've been here a few times for drinks but was very disappointed at my first experience of ordering food here. Admittedly the menu is fairly cheap, but even at six pounds for a sandwich and chips one would surely expect better quality than the pictures below. After taking 45 minutes to arrive, the sandwiches only had one half of bread and the 'filling' was tasteless meat, which seemed very cheap and poorly cooked, absolutely smothered in overly salty, cloying barbeque sauce. I actually enjoy the vibe in here with friends on an evening but I'd advise steering well clear of the food.
