We just went here for some food… excellent value for money, the food was out in under 15 minutes.. it was so big we took 2 pieces of fish home in a box… we never expected 2 full size pieces of fish when we ordered 🤣🤣 Waiting staff were very courteous and the venue was lovely and clean… cutlery was sparkling which was really nice to see Ample free parking to rear but you have to put your reg in at the touch screen Really please all round… would happily recommend

A little bit of up to date feedback... We went again today and the food was excellent... Restaurant was very busy but the food came out within a reasonable time... It was cooked to perfection and the staff were very attentive to the customers. The manager didn't stop to take a breath he was superb arranging staff and food orders. We tried out the new festive menu, Loved the new festive sizzler, the cheese sauce and vegetables were full of flavour, the smoked Turkey was fab and chicken cooked well, stuffing and pig in blanket were great additions. The festive nacho ho ho were not as good, the nachos tasted chewy, not like the normal nachos here which are really good. Not sure if they are cooked differently, but they aren’t as good. Great staff. Clean and tidy in the pub. Amber was very good and changed the nachos for us, without fuss.

I visited recently with family and enjoyed a lovely meal and afternoon out. I ordered the Clucking Hot Stack burger from the revamped menu, which I would wholeheartedly recommend. I felt the Saracens Head provided good value for money and the service was exceptional. I was waited on by Curtis who was personable, professional and efficient. I would consider him and asset to your establishment. My meal was delicious so compliments must also go to the chef. Keep up the great work

Pleasant friendly staff. Food is very good value. Don't expect too much but its cheap and cheerful. Good for big gathering for casual lunch.

I've left a five star review because no one looks at a four, I've used this pub for over 15 years, you do get the odd set of scummy people in here but they always seem to be on good behaviour in this pub for some reason, the bar staff are always pleasant, quiz nights on a Thursday is good , they also have darts , food is very very very basic , bought a pizza recently which was 8 quid and it is a Chicago town takeaway pizza which is about 3 quid in the shops I'd expect a better pizza that that considering plumbe up the road is serving wood/stone fired pizzas. The biggest plus point to this pub is its never loud no matter how full it is it has weirdly quiet ambience about it that I like unlike your weatherspoons full of loud people

The inside of the pub was nice, warm and festively decorated for Christmas. I liked the pub itself, it was very clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely and friendly. The food however, let it down. My steak, although requested as medium to well was more like char grilled in most places. I asked for the tomato which was also char grilled to be replaced. This was gracefully done so by the waitress. Apart from this I didn't complain but, easily could have. I knew my food wasn't going to be great from the get go as I could smell burnt food when it arrived (on a sizzling skillet) at the table. My friends fish and chips wasn't that much better. The batter was too heavy, wasn't crispy and had to be removed. Chips were good. All in all, I was quite disappointed and won't be rushing back!

Visited today as a family catch up . Food was good and great value for money. Efficient service and hard working staff. Adam, the Assistant Manager was very friendly and helpful . We had our Autistic grandson with us, and Adam was patient and kind . Thankyou for a truly positive experience.

Clearly running on a skeleton crew. Very slow drink service even though the food comes out quickly. Food is obviously already cooked because it’s cold. On top of that, the main reason we went was to use voucher codes but the mobile app consumed the codes and meant we spent more than we hoped. Maybe a one-off but definitely doesn’t tempt me to come back.

Always such an enjoyable experience every time I visit. The food comes out super fast, hot and delicious and the staff cannot do enough for you. Always very friendly and smiley. Special mention to Cally who makes sure she chats with everyone and ensures they leave with a smile.

Decent menu but better variety of alcohol! Karaoke on a Friday which is fun and a packed schedule of entertainment throughout the week until Christmas! The staff are good fun and make you feel very welcome, especially the bouncers (unless you're underage!). Definitely cheap and cheerful but this does not detract from its charm.

Stayed at the adjoining hotel after a full day at the NEC. Ate dinner here which was delicious, enjoyed the live band and the cocktails! Also ate breakfast here which was also very tasty. I was very pleased to see that they employ a lovely young lady who has Downs syndrome I believe. She was very friendly and lovely. I am disabled myself and find employers very reluctant to employ me . This lady is an asset to your company and an inspiration to me also. Lovely welcoming pub with great food and cocktails!

Eaten here yesterday and went back today as it was so good; best Steak and Ale Pie I've ever had! Service was great, staff and locals were very welcoming. Nice atmosphere and a big fire. Dog friendly. Decent menu, reasonable prices, highly recommend!

The bartender Steph was amazing, so friendly and attentive, she really made me feel welcome! The food was amazing, really enjoyed it! Would definitely come back.

Lunchtime food offer is an absolute bargain. Our group sampled Fish & Chips and Gammon & Chips. Both excellent for the money charged. Beers are excellent too.

Me and the family came in for lunch today. The service exceptional from all staff, made us feel very welcome and will definitely be returning. A special thanks to Candice who took care of us for the afternoon, making sure everything was up to our standard.

Visited for lunch after the donkey derby with two very hot sweaty and irritable children. The staff couldn't have been better with the kids the food and drinks were served in a very timely fashion and were absolutely beautiful. Great job all around

When I’m looking for value meal out With the family I don’t think you can beat this place, speedy service for a Friday when I go. Probably aimed at meat eaters but there was some vegan options too, great options for kids. Don’t expect any frills, you will get what you pay for though!

Order came out wrong even after the 45 minute wait, also waited over half an hour for a simple desert even after going to ask what's taking it so long so I think there may be room for improvement on communication between bar staff and kitchen staff I understand waiting time can be longer when busy but to also get it wrong is a bit too much. Bar staff was happy enough to help with the situation and they was very friendly throughout the duration of our visit

Lovely Food Great Service Great Atmosphere. Sorry to say that this was Completely spoilt because of one Very Rude and Very Aggressive Barman. (He even followed me to my table). Doubt my wife will be suggesting this place again purely down to him. Pity

Great time had by all of our party!!! We attended the Saracens head, to watch live football Aston Villa v Everton & celebrate my birthday what a fantastic start to the evening the Villa won 3-0 the atmosphere was electric!!!! Everyone could see the TV's the volume was up on the sound system ( which is rare in other establishment's staff were brilliant & on the ball, I can't big the pub up enough fantastic experience, will definitely use again when I'm back in Birmingham next time!! a big THANKS TO THE MANAGEMENT TEAM !!!!!!!!!!! It was Saturday teatime so lots of family's eating. Food was good, well prepared and reasonably priced. Staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Football on a large screen too. Later it turned into a pub with a rock band who were excellent. A nice area to watch a band. Drinks reasonable priced.

Really great pub to visit any night of the week. Saturdays are particularly fun with live music and sometimes a DJ. Amazing staff, very helpful. I was served by maddy who very kindly answered all my questions about drinks deals and helped me choose what to drink for the best prices

Came in at round 10ish got the sizzling breakfast and I'd recommend it. I walked in honestly I love the ascetic of the pub its nice and whenever I normally come past always seems packed but its a nice pub and if your thinking kf going in for a drink or meal I'd recommend is a good place. If you thinking about going in for a bite to eat or a drink stop reading this and go already its a nice place not to mention the sports is always on the TV.

Food was okay. Not much else to be desired I’m afraid. Went on a Sunday; only fairly busy; 5 of us. Took ages for food to come (which arrived at different times despite all ordering at the same time; one of the group had finished their meal by the time my food came) and staff sounded bored and frustrated when serving. Table was dirty and cutlery not laid out even though we’d reserved our table. Once finished, staff did not clear the table for about 20 mins; finally we went up to the bar to ask them to clear it to which they STILL did not. So we went up again and they finally obliged to clear it. Utter incompetence. Spend your money elsewhere.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was first class quality and price was right too ..Nice pub with friendly relaxing atmosphere..Will definitely be going back very soon .

Had a Sunday roast meal and didn't rate it,, poor quality in taste and portion size,, I'd highly recommend roast dinners at the Plume of Feathers nearby,, one good thing going for the Saracens Head is they show live football and the seats are comfortable

Came here with my family for a meal out this past Sunday. Really amazing pub and quality food. Got served by a very lovely worker, maddy I think. She took our order, brought our drinks to the table as the one of the taps had gone and brought our desserts out in perfect time as we had just finished. Delightful experience
