Great for a pint across from the cricket ground. Limited selection of drinks, but reasonably priced and friendly.

It’s 50 years old British sports pub…. Was there on weekdays .. still a bit of buz there … good place to have quick drinks … family atmosphere… good range of beers available beside spirits … Only drawback was the Whiskey glasses were missing …

Too many new landlords over the last few years, not to a very successful end, but they tried. Nice BIG pub & tidy.

Spent a nice relaxing time away from the heat. Very pleased with excellent service here Served by Darius. He's a star. Brilliant customer service and hospitality. Will definitely come again. Highly recommended. 5 stars .

It was great to go to before the cricket, and was always full, there was a very strong smell of the funny stuff.

A normal bar close to a cricket ground not so busy during close season, average price.

Some of the customers decided to start setting off fireworks in the car park, causing debri from the fireworks to fall on my car, and it melted my car wrap

Rooms are lovely the service second to none nothing to much trouble the atmosphere was great and to the lovely staff from cleaners to reception thank you all so much for your dedication and help throughout my stay will be coming back and will be recommending this hotel as a great place to stay 👌❤️

I went to the Bears v Essex T20 quarter final and went for a drink prior with friends and enjoyed the atmosphere there, watching some of the Test match that was ongoing, England v Australia. Its always lively on a match day...

I love this place ! Walked past so many times after work and though “Ruff “ I been going over 12 months never seem any trouble , made to feel so welcome by staff and customers, full of beautiful people both staff and clientele

Not been ther yet I want to go and see the rescued cat from ukrain a bit nervous of going back to brum has my sister was murdered in the 80s in edgbaston she was only 21 😥.But I realy want to meet the cat ❤⚘🐱🐱🐱🐱 and the fantastic people who rescued the cat❤.

A proper pub. Loud, chatty, lots of interaction with both the locals and those who had travelled for the Commonwealth Games. Easy atmosphere and very clean, tables constantly being checked. Enjoy (beer very good lol).
