Pub looked good from the outside on a dark cold night. But inside there was no heating and it just didn't look cared for. Most lights were out. The toilets needed a clean. They didn't have the beer I requested. You get the picture ; give this one a miss.

So sad that this place is so run down, dirty sticky carpets, tatty furniture we even had ants scurrying around on our table! Its a lovely building and would be a gold mine if only it had a long overdue refurb.

Very old building with a long history,dated 1608, I beleive. Lots of workers go there after a day out on construction.

Dogs that can drive u home when u cant... singalongs without songs.. and a landlord who forgets to pay for the heating... seriously though...great place :)

Nice building. Nice tenants. That doesn't make up for the fact that the place is a disgrace. The lack of money spent on this potentially lovely old pub is apparent. I find it difficult to believe that a brewery can turn out a product which is close to early Victoria standards. It needs a lot of money spent on it to bring it into the 21st century. I feel sorry for the landlord who runs this pub. Dire. Give it a very wide berth.

Comfortable indoor seating area in the pub, full of history in the building structure and photos on the walls. The beer garden is spacious and has a large grass area where children can run a do under and play and BBQs are set up here during summer.

Nice friendly atmosphere, especially if your a villa fan! Caring staff that do a lot for the community and charities, great for a local and amazing home cooked food.

Popped into this establishment and couldn't wait to get out tbh, the locals are unfriendly and I'm sure drugs were being used by some if them. I wont be going back as I felt threatened there.

Gaffer was friendly and talkative. Surroundings were oldie worldly. Beer was top class. I had a Guinness ( spot on ). Well worth a visit.
